Boiling Point

Summary:

Vi opened her door and walked out with a smirk on her face, that was swiftly wiped off as she turned the corner to face the kitchen. “Oh!” escaped from her lips.

Caitlyn was dressed in all white with socks that reached over her calf, short booty shorts and a tight crop top, and she clearly had no bra underneath. Vi had to look away to prevent her mouth from becoming a desert. She looked out of the living room window, closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

“Good morning, Vi. Everything okay?” Caitlyn asked innocently. Vi could see her hiding a smirk.

“Hm, peachy.

Vi gets a new, very attractive roommate and things start heating up until it all boils over.

Chapter 1: First impressions

Chapter Text

“Come on Babette, I’m so tired. My frail little body can’t take a second more of carrying these heavy-ass boxes. I don’t understand why you insist on getting me roommates that are nothing but nerds. I lost count of how many boxes of books I had carry out for Claire. I’m actually shocked that my back isn’t folded in half right now.”

Vi had just helped Claire, her previous roommate, finish up moving out of the house. It was certainly a task moving Claire’s possessions in the truck, since ended up carrying most of them because she felt bad watching her very petite roommate already struggle with carrying the moderately heavy items she owned. Luckily the house only had only one floor and the driveway stood almost right at the door.

Vi had lived here for two years, finally making enough money from her job to rent this albeit small and modest, but clean and modern house with a small grass yard. Although her accumulating an increasing amount of wealth had begun to allow her to rent the whole house to herself, she still felt like living with at least one last roommate. Despite her words to Babette at the other end of the line.

“Oh, sweetheart, please shut up. You’re being so dramatic. You practically live at the gym. Maybe you’ll need to spend one hour less there today. I’m almost surprised you need a house in the first place. And it’s not exactly illegal to not help your next roommate move in”, Babette responded.

Vi was slumped on the couch, smiling at the easy conversation. Being a long-time family friend, Babette was certainly a lovely landlord. Quite lovely in general.

“There were a lot of applicants, and the bookworms are the cleanest tenants. We both know this. And I know for a fact that you and your ego enjoyed having Claire’s eyes on your figure.”

“Relax Babette, she’s not the type to ogle. I’m sure she’s never looked at me that way”, Vi said.

“Whatever you say dear. Regardless, your new roommate should arrive within the hour.”

“Ugh. Whatever, I guess I’ll just have to offer my services as a hero just once more. What was her name again?” Vi asked.

“Tone it down a notch there Vi, I’m sure you don’t want her first impression of you be that of an asshat”, Babette chuckled. “And her name is Caitlyn.”

“Right. Well, see you at coffee next week?”

“Of course, sweetheart. Bye now, be nice to Caitlyn.”

“Yeah yeah. See ya, Babette.”

Vi took a quick shower to clean herself of the sweat gathered from moving the majority of Claire’s stuff, and threw on a pair of boxers and socks. She slumped back down on the couch, drank a protein shake and began idly scrolling through her phone. She was wondering what her next roommate would be like. Claire, like Vi said, could certainly be described as a nerd with all her books and devoted studying habits. It was still nice having her around. Now finishing her degree, she moved out.

As Babette said, Claire was meticulously clean, and despite being a bit reserved, very friendly. And despite clearly coming from money since she lived there as a student, she was very down to earth. Vi didn’t see that much of her since their schedules were very different. While Claire went off to campus in the mornings and came back in the afternoons, Vi’s day basically started in the afternoon.

Having had an immense passion for boxing and training since a young age, at eighteen she was already built enough to start working as a personal trainer at Vander’s gym. She proved herself quickly and additionally began leading the boxing classes. Vi’s enthusiasm, passion and know-how was very profitable for Vander: his gym had seen an increase in customers since Vi began working as a PT, and Vi’s afternoons quickly filled up with more and more sessions.

In conclusion, despite knowing that Babette most likely picked some spoiled, prim and proper student and the fact that Vi wouldn’t even have to see them that much, she couldn’t help but be a little nervous. Most likely she would be living with them for at least a few years after all.

It was at noon when her mindless scrolling was interrupted by a loud engine of what almost sounded like a sportscar as it pulled into the driveway. Realizing that she still barely had any clothes on, she sprinted to her room to throw on a sports bra, white vest and dark grey plaid pants. As she began pacing to the door, tucking her vest into her pants, she heard car doors open and close and some faint conversation through the open window. The blinds were still closed so she couldn’t yet see her guests. She stopped for a bit to listen.

“Why did you have to drive us here in this abomination, Jayce? God this is embarrassing”, an irritated, posh female voice sounded.

“Hey, you asked for my help, Cait! And you know I always deliver”, came a male voice, clearly amused. The sound of another vehicle, what sounded like a truck, also seemed to stop somewhere nearby. “This guarantees the absolute best first impression your new roommate can have of you.”

“Don’t be stupid. Clearly that’s not my car, nor would I ever want it to be”, the woman muttered.

“What? No. You can’t be serious Caitlyn, this would be anyone’s dream car. You're just jealous.”

“Yeah, it’s a dream car for any guy who is insecure about their reproductive organs. I don’t quite check that box, if I remember correctly”, she teased.

The jab got a chuckle out of Vi, who finally decided to move to open the front door and graciously offer her assistance in yet again moving some heavy-ass boxes.

“Man shut the hell up! I can’t believe you would say something like that to me”, Vi heard the man say, with not any real weight behind it. “Whatever, lets just get to work.”

Vi took the last couple of steps and opened the door to be greeted by three people at the driveway. One of whom was walking up from the street, an inoffensive looking man, seemingly the truck driver. The second person was a man, tall and clearly objectively handsome, that much Vi could admit.

Last, but absolutely not least there was the woman, also quite tall. And she was scorching hot. ‘Holy shit, what the fuck’ were the words of Vi’s current inner monologue. Blue hair tied into a high ponytail with a few loose strands framing her no less than angelic face decorated with the most striking ocean blue eyes Vi had ever seen. Quickly glancing lower at her figure, she was greeted by a tiny waist and deliciously full chest barely covered by a black, decently low cut skintight top. Her wide hips and impossibly long, clearly toned legs were hugged by some light blue jeans. The sight got Vi’s breath caught up in her throat and her eyes widened a bit, which she hoped would go unnoticed.

“Oh! Hey there!” the tall man yelled.

There was a brief pause, since hadn’t yet stopped ogling at the woman. The gesture was certainly reciprocated, as the woman was staring back with eyes just as wide and lips slightly parted. Vi was certainly no stranger to some gawking, sporting pretty much what most would consider peak physique.

“W-what’s up man”, Vi finally responded, tearing her eyes from the woman, feeling heat in her cheeks. And a bit lower. She shifted her gaze back to the woman. “Uh, you must be Caitlyn?”

“U-uh, yes. How did you know?” Caitlyn stammered. By that and the red on her cheeks Vi judged that she had to be every bit as flustered as Vi. With that she instantly gained some of her confidence back, and put on a smirk.

“Well, my landlord told me the name of my new roommate, and you have a truck pulled up on the side of the road, so I came to that conclusion. Bit of a detective”, Vi mused cockily. It seemed to amuse the blue-haired woman judging by the small upturn on the corners of her lips.

“Oh, I guess that makes sense”, Caitlyn says. “And you are…?”

“Vi”, she said. “And I could also hear you two bickering from the couch”, she continues, pointing between the man and Caitlyn. “And pretty boy here is Jayce, right?”

Caitlyn threw her hand up to cover her face in embarrassment, which Vi found adorable. Jayce simply laughs.

“That’s right”, he said. He turns to the truck driver. “Right, Jerry, could go run some of those errands we talked about? We got this covered. You can just grab my car.”

“Of course, sir”, he responded. Jayce tosses him the keys and he backs off the driveway and speeds off while Vi and Caitlyn were still stood in place a bit awkwardly.

Finally, Vi speaks: “Right, shall we get to it then?”

Caitlyn stammers: “Oh, umm… It’s quite alright, you don’t have to–”

“I’m afraid I must insist. These babies finally get to do something useful for once”, she grinned, making a bit of a show of flexing her arms.

“God damn!” Jayce exclaimed with a laugh. “Would you look at that Caitlyn! Vi here is built like a Greek goddess”, he grins at her, “I’m sure we’ll get this done in a breeze.”

Vi chuckles. Caitlyn answers by blushing furiously. She could certainly see what he meant.
