Tommy hasn't been having the best day.
Really, it's more like Tommy hasn't been having the best month. First, he sprouted wings in the middle of exile and it was a lot more gory and traumatizing than one would expect - Or maybe, just as gory and traumatizing as one would expect.
The only thing that made it better was Dream. Dream had helped him through the worst of it and taught him how to deal with his new limbs and the new instincts. Dream didn't even complain when Tommy would cling to him, desperate for his attention in a way he hadn't been before.
Dream had been great. He helped Tommy learn to repress the humiliating chirps that had cropped up one day and had done his best to keep any potential visitors at bay. Tommy hadn't even considered how humiliating and pathetic he would look now until Dream pointed it out.
It turned out Dream was right. It was humiliating when someone finally saw Tommy's stupid little fleshy wings.
Though, Tommy is pretty sure Dream wasn't imagining Phil would do this after he found out.
"Get away! Get- help! Hel-!" Tommy clamped his jaw shut the second he felt a chirp bubbling up. He continued his attempt to escape but it was useless.
Tommy wasn't sure how long it had been since Phil had kidnapped him. He had just picked Tommy up, despite the many many choice words Tommy had for him, and taken him to Technoblade's cabin. They hadn't hurt him. They fed him and kept him in a weirdly soft room. One covered with blankets and pillows and practically nothing else.
Anytime Tommy demanded to be let out, Phil just cooed. It caused Tommy's bird brain to panic. He couldn't explain why but he agreed. Phil was a stranger. He had stolen Tommy. Tommy needed to get out of here. Get back to Dream.
"Fuck, Technoblade was right." Phil hissed, more to himself than to Tommy. "You've already imprinted, haven't you?"
Tommy scrambled away, until he was in the corner of the room. He couldn't reply, he was too busy holding in more distressed chirps. He wouldn't make those sounds. He wouldn't. Dream had taught him better than that.
Phil approached with half spread wings. A predator descending on his prey. Tommy clapped a hand over his mouth, curling into a ball as much as he could.
Scared-scared-help-danger! His brain chanted. Tommy's shoulders shook with silent sobs.
"Oh, no." Phil whispered. "Oh, nestling. What did he do to you? Sh, come here."
Tommy felt hands touching him .
Tommy shrieked. A high-pitched purely avian sound. He thrashed but Phil was already pulling him in. Ensnaring Tommy in his arms.
"I know, I know. This isn't going to be fun." Phil sighed, resting his chin on the top of Tommy's head.
Tommy continued to thrash despite all logical thinking. He was cornered and Phil's grip was confident and unyielding. The room was locked and Technoblade was probably just around the corner. There was no way to escape.
None of that mattered to the bird in the back of Tommy's mind. It pushed him to run-run-flee-getaway-getaway! and he was helpless to obey.
Phil rocked them back and forth, humming and cooing. It did nothing to relax Tommy but the older avian didn't seem to care. Something soft glided over Tommy's arms. He blinked open his eyes to catch a glimpse of black feathers right before something laid over his wings.
No!
Tommy screamed. He felt Phil tensing for new struggles. Tommy would have liked to give it to him.
He went limp.
Phil remained tense for another minute before he slowly relaxed his grip. It was still impossible to escape but Tommy couldn't move. He knew better than to struggle through a punishment. Dream would just make it worse.
But Phil was not hurting him. The soft feeling brushed over his wings again and again. It took embarrassingly long for Tommy to realize it was Phil's own wings wrapped around them. They were warm and it kind of tickled.
He felt Phil tighten his grip again and Tommy didn't have to ask why.
Phil chirped.
Tommy did not.
Phil made a frustrated sound and held Tommy tighter. The wings over Tommy's own pressed harder. Tommy was biting both of his lips to hold in any avian sounds but he knew it was a losing battle. What did Phil want?! He couldn't even ask.
"C'mon, chick. Come on. It's alright." Phil murmured. He cooed again. A hand entered Tommy's vision. He flinched but had nowhere to go. Phil pinched Tommy's nose blocking his only airway.
Tommy panicked and began to struggle again. He knew what Phil was trying to force Tommy to do. Phil had been prepared for Tommy's struggles again and Tommy couldn't even move his head with how it was pinned to Phil's chest.
"It's alright. Just open your mouth. Breathe through your mouth. Come one, little one."
No! He fought and did his best to hold his breath but Tommy was quickly growing light-headed. Well, fuck this and fuck Phil. Tommy would rather pass out than give the fucker the satisfaction of forcing Tommy to make those humiliating bird sounds.
It seemed like Phil had caught onto Tommy's plan. He groaned quietly.
"Sweetheart, this is for your own good." Tommy did not respond.
"Fine."
Phil hissed.
Hot breath washed over Tommy's ear and Tommy was blind with panic. The sound had traveled straight into Tommy's brain and his instincts were freaking out.
The need to breath combined with the fear was enough for Tommy to finally break.
His chirps were loud and ear-piercing but Phil slumped like they didn't annoy him at all. Which was a lie. The chirps were ridiculous. Everyone knew they were.
But Tommy couldn't stop. Once he had started they poured out without his permission.
Fear-fear-wrong-help-help!
Safe-safe-mine . Phil's own sound was rumbling and as possessive as it was soothing. Tommy's body moved on it's own, trying to escape once more. Phil just nuzzled his hair.
"So good. So good for me, Toms."
Tommy cheeped miserably. Phil chuckled.
"Yeah, it's going to take a bit to break that imprint. But you'll feel much better once we do. You'll love it here."
No I won't! I want Dream! Tommy wanted to yell, but the only sound his throat would make was chirps that didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
Phil kissed Tommy's forehead.
"My little baby. My nestling. Mine. I'm so glad I found you."
Tommy's chirp of distress was simply met with a coo.
