Work Text:
Rushing through the halls of the 16th precinct, Vivian stopped by each floor and dropped off files and paperwork. It was her duty for the day. Being as she was still an officer in training and didn’t have any control over the tasks her Captain would throw her way.
Vivian made her way to the Special Victims Unit Floor of the 16th precinct; it was one of her last stops before she could finally take a break. She steps into the elevator and finds other occupants in it as well.
One, in particular, is tall, lengthy, grey hair with strips of black covering his head, and an overwhelmed expression carrying his face as he clicks the button on his pager which keeps going off.
He moves over to where Vivian is standing, reaches out, and clicks on the elevator button several times.
“Why won’t these doors close, it’s as if there aren’t people with jobs to attend to.”
Vivian doesn’t know if he’s speaking to her but she answers anyway.
“Tell me about it. My arms will fall off the bone if I don’t get these heavy stacks of paper off of them soon.”
She looks at the grey-haired man with a sly smile as he scoffs at her comment. He then sighs when the door finally closes.
After a few short minutes, the elevator comes to a halt.
The elevator doors open up and the grey-haired man steps out before her almost hurryingly.
Tugging at the bag hung over her shoulder. Vivian shifts the stack of papers held securely in her arms, covered in a black folder. She steps out of the elevator, turns, and walks down the hallway until she reaches the open space of the squad room floor.
Which is in complete disarray. There are tons of people rushing around, tending to phones that kept ringing off the hook and detectives at their desks hastily writing out notes. From training and being an onlooker to situations like these at her precinct. Vivian concludes that there must’ve been a break in the case.
As Vivian walks through the crowded squad room. Head hanging low, her brown eyes watching her own feet, her shoulder is harshly bumped into.
Which causes her to drop her folder of papers onto the floor. Vivian mumbles a slur of curse words.
Not thinking to look at the unknown stranger that nearly knocked the wind out of her. She kneels and starts to pick up the papers that have now scattered about the floor. Her Bag falls off her shoulder as she does so.
Vivian, Quickly, attempts to gather the papers and straighten them out, which feels like forever to do on her own. She is so crippled with embarrassment that she doesn’t even hear someone talking to her from above.
“Well, there goes the coffee that probably is better on my shirt than being ingested by any human”
Looking up, Vivian is met with the curious gaze of a woman in a grey pantsuit, her white tucked-in t-shirt now spotted with a brown stain, and her dark brown locks tucked behind her ears.
The woman then crouches down next to her and starts to collect the remaining papers and hand them to her. As both women meet each other’s gaze in the handoff. Vivian decides to breaks the silence that has simmered between them.
“Sorry about that. I was too busy tripping over my own feet to see you coming”
The woman lets out a soft laugh.
“Don’t worry about it. I was in a rush to get to my Captains office. I didn’t see you in my line of sight. it’s all on me.”
Nodding at the woman, Vivian takes the last of the papers and stands up. The woman follows her actions.
“How about it's both our fault because I was actually on my way to Captain Cragen's office as well.”
Vivian lifts her arm with the papers once again placed in their folder tightly in her arms.
“I have to drop off some paperwork and files here.”
That receives a smile from the woman. Vivian has yet to figure out her name.
Just as Vivian was going to ask her name or offer her a cup of coffee in return for her kind gestures and not being a jackass like she’s experienced in other units. Who would’ve just ignored her and gone about their merry way.
It may sound odd but this woman radiates such warmth and hope in her eyes.
“Detective Benson,” Captain Cragen says, peeking out of his office door, looking in the direction of the two women “In my office.”
The woman whips her head around, “I’ll be in just give me a minute.”
The Captain nods off the Detective and turns around to return to his duties. Leaving his Office door slightly open.
The Detective turns her head back to Vivian, “I gotta go now but it was nice meeting you even though it resulted in my favorite white shirt being marked”
Not understanding her humor Vivian laughs awkwardly, “I feel so bad about that. Is there anything I can do? Like, buy you a coffee or something, Detective?”
“Olivia”
“I’m sorry?” a confused expression displays itself on Vivian’s face.
“My name, it’s Olivia.” She says, smirkingly.
“Oh! Sorry, I’m Vivian.” Moving her stack of papers to the other arm before extending her hand to Olivia.
Olivia does the same as Vivian and shakes her hand tightly.
“It was nice meeting you too and by the way you don’t have to buy me coffee, I’ll live. Plus it’s busy today as you can tell. Coffee is the least of my concerns”
Vivian nods at Olivia but her being the people pleaser she is. She finds the nearest desk which is currently unoccupied but there are notes all over it.
Gently moving them to the side. She takes out her mini notepad that she keeps clipped in her back pocket and pen that’s clipped at its corner.
Dabbing the ink onto her tongue before testing it onto her notepad. Vivian scribbles out her phone number, knowing that Olivia is in a hurry and that she's already taken up so much of her time.
Ripping the note page from her pad Vivian turns and hands the piece of paper to Olivia who looks timid. “Call me if you change your mind. I’ll let you go now. I won’t hold you, hostage, anymore”.
The comment causes a laugh to eject itself from Olivia's stomach. “I definitely will. See you around, maybe?”
Vivian returns the laugh, and then remembers why she was even here in the first place. Olivia completely sidetracked her from the task at hand.
As Olivia was about to walk off. Vivian calls out to her.
“Wait, I don’t wanna be a hassle but could you give these to the Captain? I don’t wanna interrupt your case or conversation with him, and I also think you’ve put me behind schedule.” finishing off her last sentence in a sarcastic tone.
Olivia smiles at her. Then dramatically says, “Of course. It’s the least I can do.”
She Takes the bunch of papers, contained in a black folder, out of Vivian's arms.
They then both bid their thanks yous and goodbyes before going their separate ways
———
Olivia has closed yet another case, quite earlier than she expected but in the end, she’s content with the conclusion of it.
Sitting at her desk. One arm propped onto the cold metal desk and the other twirling in her hair as she’s deep in thought. The squad room around her has now mellowed out and is fairly empty.
Cragen has ordered everyone to go home because it’s been a long few days for the unit. Olivia didn’t have anyone or anything to go home to so she was contemplating if she even wanted to go home.
The sound of the desk across from her drawers opening and closing is what brings her out of her haze of thoughts.
She jumps.
“Is everything okay in there?” Elliot says, motioning to her head.
Olivia snickers, “just fine. it’s just been a long day. You going back home to Kathy and the kids?”
Elliot shrugs on his coat that hangs over his chair and shakes it out a bit.
“The twins want me to read 3 different bedtime stories tonight so I got to get a move on.”
“Ah, that’s where they get you.” She says, smiling.
She stares longingly at the blue eyes that wander back into hers.
“Yep. See you tomorrow Liv,” Elliot says, nodding at her for reassurance.
Nodding back to him, She says, “See you tomorrow. Goodnight El.”
Elliot then turns patting his coat pockets first to make sure he has everything. Before walking out of the open arc that leads out into the hallway and out of the squad room.
Sighing, Olivia gets up herself and starts to pick up the notes she has splayed all about on her desk. As well as random pieces of paper that had found their way onto her desk.
Once all of the pieces of paper are sorted thoroughly, she gathers them and goes to throw them away when a piece of notepad paper falls onto the floor.
Kneeling to pick it up, the little piece of yellow notepaper reads, “718-256-8762” signed with the name Vivian underneath it.
The note itself was barely legible, so it took Olivia a while to understand what it said.
Then it clicked all into place, Vivian, the woman from the morning arms shaking from the weight of files folders and a messenger bag.
Vivian had wavy highlighted blonde hair that flowed past her shoulders, high cheekbones that raised when she laughed, and even-toned, pale skin.
She was gorgeous, and Olivia has never been afraid to admit when a woman is.
Staring at the note, Olivia begins to drum at it as she leans over her desk. It’s now too late in the day for coffee but O’hallerns should just be opening up.
Running the idea over in her endless mind, Olivia reaches over and dials out the number. Wrapping the cord in a tight grasp around her hand as the phone rang.
Beep.
Beep.
“Hello?”
“Oh. You answered. I feel kind of silly for doing this now.” Her grasp around the telephone cord clenches ever so slightly.
“I’m sorry? Who is this?” Vivian asks, from the other end of the phone.
“It’s Olivia. 16th precinct. You gave me your number earlier and asked to buy me a coffee.”
Olivia hears a soft laugh escape from the static on the other line.
“How could I forget? That was embarrassing. I’m so sorry about that again.”
“No, no. As I said, it's all good. Although you did offer a coffee it’s a bit late for that. So do you wanna go out for a drink?” Olivia found herself nervous saying the words.
Maybe it was because she barely knew this woman but connected with her almost instantaneously. It was different.
“Sure. I’m not familiar with the Manhattan bar scene. Is there anywhere good?”
“Well, there’s O’hallerns. My coworkers and I normally go there for celebration or to get our minds off of a case.”
Vivian hums, “I think that'll be fun. I’ll be there. Say 9 pm?”
Olivia lets out the breath she didn’t know she was holding.
“I can do that. I’ll see you there. Bye Vivian.”
“Bye Olivia. See you in a few.”
The call ends.
and it went smoother than Olivia originally expected.
Checking her watch it’s currently 8:03 pm which means she needs to get a move on if she wants to be on time.
Throwing away the leftover papers from her desk, Olivia grabs her coat and keys, then almost speed walks out of the squad room and makes way to her apartment.
———
The time reads 8:53 pm as Olivia puts the finishing touches on her makeup. She was almost out the door when she realized she forgot to put blush on.
Her outfit of choice is a black mini dress paired with black kitten heels and a mini clutch that will only hold some spare money, her cards, a compactor, and her pager.
Adding the final touches to her face. Olivia takes one last look at herself in the mirror, before locking up her apartment and waving a cab over to O’hallerns.
———
Entering the bar, It’s not as packed as she expected. Which will do her some good being as she didn’t want to wander around too much looking for Vivian.
The bar is filled with different types of people. Frat boys are chugging down beers, both men and women watching the game at the bar, and women dancing about the dance floor.
As Olivia fills out the bar scene playing in front of her. Soft music vibrates throughout the walls of the bar. She walks, keeping her eye out for the highlighted blonde tresses that she encountered earlier in the day.
Once she spots Vivian Olivia takes the seat next to her and taps her shoulder lightly not wanting to scare her
Vivian turns in her stool a bit to turn her attention to Olivia.
“You came.”
The comment catches Olivia off guard and causes her to furrow her brows.
Exhaling nervously, Vivian says, “That came out wrong. I mean I wasn’t sure if you’d show because I'm a stranger you know.”
Tucking her bottom lip into her lip Olivia nods, “Well, I’m a stranger too and you came so I think that shows for something right?”
Vivian hums in agreement as she taps her hand on the bar and tries not to crumble on the eye contact that the brunette is so intent on keeping.
“You’re right. Let’s enjoy ourselves, why don’t we?”
Vivian then yells out to the bartender who is currently at the other end of the bartending to other occupants.
“He’ll be a while. Gary is kinda all over the place.” Olivia says.
“Well, while we wait for him we can get to know each other. From what I do know is that you’re a detective and you love your job.”
Vivian has a content grin as she assesses Olivia and her assumptions of her.
“You got all of that from a clash of coffee and papers?” Olivia says. Maintaining the smug grin she’s had since she sat down next to Vivian.
“What can I say-” Vivian is interrupted by the bartender named Gary finally being ready to take their orders.
“What can I get you ladies tonight?” Gary says.
Olivia speaks up first, “I want my regular just no ice please.”
Gary hums and waits for Vivian’s order.
“I’ll just have a gin n tonic, thank you.”
Gary nods at both women before turning his back to make their drinks.
Vivian shifts her stool completely so that her and Olivia's knees are knocking each other. Which causes a subtle shiver to go down Olivia's spine.
“Okay, where were we?” Olivia says, trying to disassemble the tension that is growing between the two.
“You were gonna tell me all about you if I can recall correctly,” Vivian says, Putting the weight of her head on her now propped elbow. Giving her undivided attention to Olivia.
And so Olivia does exactly that. She tells Vivian about her job, a bit about her life, and when she’s done. She asks Vivian to do the same.
———
The bar that was once calm has now become rowdy as more people have filled in as the night goes on. The music from the speakers blast. They’ve only been at the bar for an hour or so, they think.
They’ve been drinking..a little..okay maybe a bit too much. So the concept of time is a bit hazy for them.
As both women finish off their 3/4th beer? They’ve become looser and their approach in their conversations with one another has become more personal.
“Are you seeing anyone, Olivia?” Vivian says, dragging out the “a” on her name and wiggling her brows in a fluent motion.
Olivia giggles, “How did we even get to this part of the conversation? but no I’m not”
Vivian looks at Olivia with a look that reads disbelief.
“You’re joking right?”
“Psk I wish I was but no I do have conflicting feelings going on right now,” Olivia says, motioning with her hands.
This confession that slips from Olivia’s lips draws Vivian more into the conversation.
“Who is he?”
“Who said it was a he?” Olivia says, with a shit-eating charming grin.
It renders Vivian speechless, so Olivia reassures her to prevent awkwardness.
“Yes, it’s a he. He’s my work partner but he’s married and has kids and we’ve been working together for about 2 years. I don’t even know if their feelings or am I just confused because he cares about me and no one has before.”
Vivian frowns, “I’m sorry about that. I know you just met me but I do care, maybe not in the way he does but I do. I also care about us not having our limbs go out on us because we’ve been sitting down for so long.”
Olivia catches what Vivian is getting at and shakes her head profusely, “I’m not really a dancer but you go ahead I'll just keep our seats warm.”
Rolling her eyes, Vivian stands up. This is the first time Olivia gets an eyeful of what Vivian is wearing tonight.
She has on a blue silk-cropped spaghetti strapped shirt, black leather pants, and black combat boots.
As Olivia’s eyes continue to travel the body of Vivian, She’s interrupted.
“What? Is there something wrong?”
Olivia realizes that she’s been caught staring and her cheeks flush redder than they were before from her blush application.
“Sorry. No. It’s just- you look great by the way.” Olivia says, raising her eyes to meet the matching pair of brown ones who are consciously looking back into hers. To gawk at Vivian’s reaction.
Vivian blushes, then takes her bottom lip in her mouth and licks it, “Why thank you. You look great too. Now stop trying to distract me and come dance, Benson.”
Before Olivia has the chance to protest again, “Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears echoes in the bar.
Vivian grabs at Olivia's arm and practically drags her down the bar and onto the dance floor.
“This is one of my favorite songs! We have to dance to it!” Vivian yells, as they get closer to the dance floor and find a spot that isn’t occupied by people.
“I can tell! I was dragged by the arm like a rag doll!” Olivia says, letting out a laugh that’s muted by the sound of the music.
They both start to move to the music and are close enough to hear each other breathe, but as the chorus drops, Vivian grabs Olivias other arm and spins her around so that her back is facing her front.
She starts swaying her hips slightly and runs her arms up and down Olivia’s arms. goosebumps start to appear underneath the fine hairs along Olivia's arms.
Vivian does this in hopes that it’ll help Olivia realize the tension in her movement and start moving with her.
“Is this okay?” Vivian asks whispering into Olivia's ear softly.
Olivia takes in a deep breath, “Yeah it’s fine. I just need to loosen up a bit.”
By the time the song hits the post-chorus. They’re both moving freely against each other and Vivian's hands have found placement at Olivia's hips. Matching the movement of their body’s to the beat of the song.
———
They’ve danced through at least 3 songs by now and it was getting later. Olivia could tell by the bar's increase in people.
But she was enjoying herself and didn’t want it to end. Olivia didn’t know if it was the music, drinks, or the warmth of another body but she was starting to feel flushed everywhere.
Herself and Vivian have switched their dancing positions throughout the songs but made sure to stay in each other’s bubble. Not wanting to fall into the arms of someone they didn’t know.
Being as this is their last song. Olivia thinks she might as well just let herself go in the moment. She hasn’t had this much fun in a while. “Are You That Somebody” by Aaliyah has started playing.
Olivia grabs at Vivian’s hands that are placed at her hips and brings them from her chest down to her thighs as she moves along with the beat.
Olivia swears she hears she can hear Vivian take a sharp breath. Which eggs her on to remove her own hands from Vivian's grasp and wrap one around her neck from behind.
Olivia then lols her head back in that same direction, which leaves her head falling onto Vivian's shoulder, Olivia closes her eyes as she loses herself in the beat. it’s an uncomfortable position for her but she doesn’t mind it.
“Are you having fun?” Olivia asks, in a low suggestive tone.
“Yeah a lot I don’t want it to end,” Vivian says, Squeezing at Olivia’s hip as she does so.
Although her eyes are already closed, the action brings Olivia to roll her eyes in pleasure.
“Me neither but let’s just enjoy it while it lasts.”
Olivia feels Vivian nod her head and so they do exactly just that.
They dance sensually to the beat as they lose themselves in each other’s warmth and bodily movements.
———
Olivia and Vivian are both quite spent after dancing, so they lead themselves back to the bar. They must’ve been dancing for a while because the seats they sat at before have now been taken up by other people.
They wandered around for a bit trying to find two available seats but came up empty-handed. While they could just leave, it had gotten quite cold out and they weren’t ready for the night to end just yet.
Leaning against the wall that is across from the bar, both women slouch against the wall they know lean upon.
“I didn’t think it’d be this hard to find seats!” Olivia yells, with where they’ve positioned the speakers from above drown out their voices.
“I think we should’ve stopped dancing after Bills, Bills, Bills,” Vivian says, her warm tone sending volts of nervousness through Olivia’s alcohol rushed veins.
Speaking of alcohol, After the 2nd song on the dance floor. The group of frat boys offered to buy Vivian and Olivia a shot and of course, they’re not gonna turn it down.
“Very funny. You insisted on dancing more! I was fine sitting in my very warm seat.” Olivia says, in a sweet voice.
“I just wanted to have fun and the way the last song ended I think you had quite the time.”
Vivian turns her body so her front is facing Olivia, who now has her arms crossed over her chest, with her head turned in the direction of Olivia.
“I was. It’s nice to let loose. It’s rare in my line of work to be able to do so and you’re not too bad.”
Vivian’s shoulders start shaking from laughter, “That’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.”
Olivia's mouth opens to respond but she’s stopped by Vivian’s finger touching her hair and picking a piece of lint out of it.
The sudden gesture brings them closer together in proximity. Before Vivian has the chance to remove her hand Olivia catches it and holds it there.
Vivian is surprised by it and doesn’t know what to do so she just goes with the flow.
She doesn’t move.
Olivia doesn’t move.
They’re both still and caught up in each other’s pools of brown eyes. The bar is extremely loud but it fades away like a hymn in the distance at that moment.
Now that Olivia has tested the waters she makes her next move. She rubs her lips together and fleets her eyes up and down Vivian’s body before leaning in and midway Vivian starts to do the same.
It could be the alcohol. It probably is the alcohol as Olivia hasn’t been so turned on and infatuated with a woman since she was in college.
Dramatic as it may sound. In this instance, it felt right.
But the sound of a pager, Vivian's pager, going off is what breaks the spell and makes Olivia back away from Vivian.
Vivian looks down at the pager and sees that she has a message from her Captain. Who asks her to drop by the station and fill out some forms.
Olivia tries to mask her disappointment and clear uncomfort by the tension that’s in the air between the two of them.
“I’m sorry about that. I didn’t mean to make you feel awkward or anything,” Olivia says.
Vivian looks back up at her, “No don’t apologize it’s okay. It’s my boss. I have more stacks of paperwork to fill out and bags of paper to lug around to the precincts of New York City.”
The joking tone of Vivian’s reply brings her ease and she releases the tension that carries in her shoulders.
“Well if it makes you feel any better my arms and hands are available to you at any time.”
“I might have to take you up on that offer.” Vivian flirts back to her.
They’re flirting.
It’s easy.
It’s pleasant.
Olivia then takes a daring step. “What's stopping you?” She asks, her brown eyes locking with the blondes, glare filled with curiosity.
Vivian’s cheek starts to heat up, “Are you being serious?”
“Why wouldn’t I be? Your Captain can wait until the morning. We can go back to my place and hang out for a bit and then if you want you can leave before sunrise. Deal?”
Vivian shakes her head in thought and bites her lip, “Deal. Let’s get out of here.” Vivian bumps her shoulder into Olivia’s playfully which Olivia reciprocates.
The women smile at each other and then squeeze their way through the overfilled bar and out the door.
———
The cab comes to a halt as it stops in front of Olivia's apartment building. The tires screeching against the concrete.
Olivia hands the cab driver a 20 dollar bill and steps out of the cab. Making sure not to miss her step. Vivian follows suit.
They walk up to her apartment building stoop go through the lobby doors up the elevator and the hall leading to the apartment. All of it done in comfortable silence with a few comments here and there.
Once they’ve both entered the open floor plan of the small apartment. Which is lightly decorated, with beige painted walls and a few pictures hung up. Olivia hangs up her keys back on its hook. That’s hanging against the wall beside her door. She then places her clutch on her kitchen counter.
Olivia goes into her kitchen and scouts the cabinets above her counter, fishing for alcohol.
Vivian, unsure of what to do, takes a seat on Olivia's couch.
“Is there anything, in particular, you want to drink? I have Stella rosa and,” Olivia pauses briefly. “Corona. It’s cold.”
Still with her back turned to Vivian, Olivia veers her head over her shoulder as she waits for the answer to her question.
Vivian fidgets with the hem of her shirt, “I’ll have a Corona. Thank you.”
Olivia nods at her before turning her direction back to her kitchen. She opens one of her wooden drawers for a bottle opener. After she finds one, Olivia carries both bottles in one hand while the bottle opener is in her mouth.
Olivia sits down both bottles, opens them with the bottle opener, and sits down next to Vivian.
“Are you okay?”
Vivian looks up and meets her eye contact, “Yeah. I’m fine. Just a bit nervous. I guess.”
Olivia nods, then grins, “Don’t be. We’re just hanging out.”
At the same time, both of them reach out and grab at the same beer bottle. The pair let out a “sorry” in unison.
———
As time passes, they've both become quite comfortable. Nursing their 3rd bottle of beer and entertaining casual conversation.
At some point, Vivian stands up and walks over to Olivia’s cassette player.
She turns on “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” by ABBA and places her beer bottle on the coffee table.
Knowing where this is going to lead. Olivia tries to make her escape into her bathroom, but Vivian is too quick and grabs her from behind by the waist, pulling her into an embrace.
“Liv, I know you have some dancing skills somewhere in there, being as we aren’t in a bar anymore. You have free reign! Come on, I know you wanna.”
Olivia huffs out a breath before releasing herself from Vivian's grasp and taking Vivian’s hand, spinning her around as she sings the lyrics.
“There’s not a soul out there. No one to hear my prayer,” Olivia sings, dragging out every word and tripping over the music track.
Vivian laughs at her dramatic singing before joining Olivia in the chorus.
“Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight won’t somebody help me chase the shadows away” they both sing.
They both waltz around the apartment. Singing the song and dancing as if their lives depended on it.
The outro plays out and starts to fade. Olivia and Vivian fall back onto the couch. Their breaths are irregular now from the impromptu dance break.
They’re sitting extremely close to each other. Blinking into each other’s eyes as their erratic breathing slows down.
Gulping, Olivia says, “Can I kiss you?”
While thrown off by the question, Vivian nods anyway.
Olivia places her hand on Vivian’s face, cupping her cheek, and leans in.
Their lips meet.
It’s gentle.
Soft.
The taste of different mixtures of alcohol from throughout the night and cherry chapstick transcend.
Olivia rubs at Vivian’s cheek with the hand she’s placed there. Vivian brings her hand to Olivia's thigh and strokes it in circles slowly.
The kisses at first are short and mouth closed, but as they become more engrossed with each other. The kisses turn open-mouthed, long, and languid as they explore each other.
Vivian moans in reaction to Olivia slipping her wet and warm tongue into her mouth.
Olivia draws her head back and opens her eyes, “Is this okay?” She says, almost breathless.
Vivian responds by kissing her hard and nibbling at Olivia’s bottom lip. She sucks at it and pulls until she releases it with a soft pop.
Olivia looks up at her with pure lust and want. Her once hopeful brown eyes have become dilated.
Vivian then moves her mouth down to Olivia's neck, working her teeth into the skin.
Olivia moans and climbs on top of Vivian and positions her body to where she’s straddling her. The motion makes her dress ride up her thighs.
Olivia slowly begins to grind her body back and forth against the leather material underneath her. Her damp underwear creates slippery friction.
On instinct, Vivian places her hands at Olivia's upper thighs. Gripping at them.
A struggled moan escapes Olivia and she further secures her hands. That is held at either side of Vivian’s face.
After leaving a trail of hickeys on Olivia's neck, Vivian peppers them with kisses before she raises her head back up to Olivia’s view.
Olivia peers her eyes back down at her, “Do you want to take this into the bedroom?”
Vivian nods. Olivia climbs out of her lap, stands, and holds her hand out to Vivian.
Vivian takes her hand and follows Olivia into the farther part of the apartment where Olivia's twin bed lies.
———
Hitting the back of her knees on the bed. Olivia eases her body onto the cover-clad mattress and pulls at Vivian to fall on top of her.
Vivian does.
They move around a bit, trying to get comfortable with the limited space of the twin bed. Both women discard their shoes as well.
“This okay?” Olivia asks,
Vivian shifts her position a bit so that she's hovering over Olivia.
“Yes,” Vivian says simply and hungrily
Taking that as a signal, Olivia moves one of her arms to the back of Vivian's head and pulls her down. So that her face and body are flush against hers. They pick up where they left off on the couch.
Olivia moves her other arm to Vivian's lower back and kisses her. Her tongue makes its presence known. As Vivian grants its entrance into her mouth.
Tongues twirling around each other and hands moving about different places on both of their bodies.
Things quickly become more heated. Vivian’s spaghetti strap t-shirt comes off in one sly movement.
Olivia sits up and takes Vivian’s left breast into her mouth while keeping her eyes peeled on Vivian and the sounds coming out of her mouth from pleasure.
“That feels so good,” Vivian lefts out in a whimper.
Olivia hums and moves her attention to her right breast. Not wanting to leave either one unattended.
Vivian’s nipples are now, covered in Olivia's Saliva. Glistening from the moon that shines into her bedroom. Olivia pecks Vivian’s lips a few times before pulling away.
“Can you unzip me?”
Fumbling over words, Vivian says, “Of course.”
She does exactly that. Olivia sweeps her brown locks that rest at her neck to the side, drags her feet over the bed. Planting them on her floor.
Vivian comes from behind and slowly but surely unzips Olivia's black mini dress revealing a purple bra clasp. As more of her skin unveils, Vivian starts to leave kisses all over her back.
Olivia moans, “If you keep this up. This dress will never come off.”
Vivian giggles at the comment from behind and moves backward so Olivia can stand and take the remainder of the dress off.
Olivia keeps her back turned to Vivian until she’s fully unclothed.
Stepping out of her dress, Olivia turns around to see Vivian watching her with desire and fire in her eyes.
In silence, Olivia crawls back onto her bed in only her purple lace under, already ruined, by their activities from earlier.
Vivian takes Olivia by the hips, settles her in between her legs, and kisses her again, craving and yearning for more.
Olivia starts to sensually move her lower body into the material of Vivian’s. Causing them both to moan.
Speeding up the process a bit. Vivian shimmers out of her leather pants with the help of Olivia.
“Is there anything you like?” Olivia says, wanting to make this experience as comfortable as possible for both of them.
Vivian smiles softly, “I haven’t done this before.” Motioning around them. “Whatever you want to do. I’ll be okay with, promise.”
Lifting her pinky finger between them. Vivian holds it out to Olivia, who does the same. Their pinkies interlock. It’s an indication of trust.
Olivia then grabs Vivian's waist and tugs her down the mattress before she kisses her from her neck to navel. Holding her eye contact the whole time.
Hitting the spot right above Vivian’s underwear, Olivia looks at Vivian seeking permission with her eyes.
Which she gets.
Olivia doesn’t hesitate after that and places her mouth over the wet spot in the cotton underwear that Vivian is sporting.
She swirls her tongue over her and places kisses on it.
Vivian is practically squirming above her.
Hooking both hands into the sides of Vivian’s underwear. Olivia draws them down enough to get a view of the wet, pink center right in front of her.
Tucking her hair behind her ears, Olivia latches her mouth over Vivian’s clit and spits on it before she licks at it over and over.
“That feels so good. fuck,” Vivian stutters out.
Placing her hands in a tight grip at the back of Vivian's thighs, Olivia starts sucking on Vivian’s clit until she can feel Vivian push at her head as she practically shouts out a slur of curse words.
Not wanting to disregard her pleasure, Olivia reads down between her legs and starts playing with herself.
Moans are filling the room, Vivian’s hands have a tight grip on the comforter, her head lolling back as her orgasm hits her in sudden waves.
Olivia keeps sucking and slurping until Vivian has ridden out her orgasm.
Removing her hand. That’s in between her thighs. Olivia brings it up and coating one of Vivian’s breasts in her juices.
Olivia raises her head from its position, face covered in Vivian’s cum, “Was that okay?”
Vivian is at a loss for words which is when she realizes the effect Olivia has on her.
“That was...It was...Amazing.” Vivian says, finally. She props her head on her elbows and looks down at Olivia, who is smiling from ear to ear.
Olivia brings herself up and kisses Vivian again.
Vivian can taste herself in Olivia’s mouth. It’s quite an erotic picture.
Moaning and whimpering into each other’s mouth, Vivian’s hands find themselves situated at Olivia's ass, squeezing it and toying with the hem of her underwear.
Eventually, Vivian pulls off Olivia's underwear and inserts one finger at first from behind. Which makes Olivia's face fall to the side of Vivian’s neck.
“Don’t stop,” Olivia mutters out.
Vivian keeps the same rhythm. When Olivia asks her to add another finger, she does. Vivian moves harder or faster at Olivia's request.
Not so bad for a first-timer, she thinks, because soon Olivia is shaking from her orgasm. A moist liquid spills out onto Vivian's hand.
Elevating her head from the side of Vivian’s neck, Olivia huffs out short breaths as she attaches her
lips to Vivian’s bottom lip and suckles on it.
When Olivia removes her mouth from Vivian’s. She maneuvers her body so that it’s in a scissor position. Vivian opens her legs wider to adjust to their new position.
Holding onto Vivian’s inner thigh, Olivia starts to rock back and forth. It takes a while for them to find their rhythm but once they do. It’s pure ecstasy.
Both move harder and faster as their centers rub against each other.
Poetic as it may sound. They come together. Sweat trickling down their foreheads from their rapid movements.
They kiss each other one last time. Both women plop down next to each other, trying to catch their inconsistent breaths.
Once they’ve caught their breaths. It’s silent for a bit. Both getting up and take turns using the bathroom before settling back into Olivia's bed.
They both stare up at the ceiling, the muffled sound of the city outside of the apartment being the only thing heard before Olivia speaks up.
She turns her head in Vivian’s direction,” Do you wanna stay here? It’s too late for you to be catching a cab.”
Vivian then turns her head too.
“If you don’t mind?” Vivian says in a relaxed tone.
“I don’t,” Olivia says, scooting her body closer to Vivian's and placing her head on her chest.
Vivian brings her arm around Olivia's bare waist and keeps it there as she slowly starts to close her own eyes.
Olivia does the same. Her eyelids become heavy as she falls into slumber. The sound of Vivian’s heartbeat filling her eardrums.
———
The sounds of birds chirping and a faint buzzing sound. Is what awakens Olivia.
Moving her head from its placement on Vivian’s chest. She looks at her.
Vivian’s eyelids are heavy as she is still asleep. Her blonde hair is tossed out and frizzed on the pillows that her head rests underneath.
The buzzing sound is becoming louder. Which makes Olivia groan, already knowing it’s coming from her pager.
She turns over and steps out of her bed from the opposite side that Vivian is sleeping. The chill of the apartment leaves her naked body shivering.
Olivia tiptoes over to where her pager is. It's in her kitchen. She picks it up and checks it.
It’s a message from Elliot. She takes her telephone and brings the cord into the bathroom, closing the door just enough not to wake Vivian.
Groggily, Olivia dials Elliot's number and waits for him to answer.
“Liv! There you are. I’ve been paging you for the past 30 minutes. I was starting to get worried and show up at your apartment.”
Olivia responds immediately, “No! I mean…no. Don’t do that. I’m fine. I just had a long night. I'll be there in 20.”
Elliot hums from the other end of the phone. Sussing out his partner's suspicious answer.
“You don’t even know what’s going on..but Captain brought in a shrink this morning and wants everyone to be here bright and early. Thought I'd give you a heads up.”
Olivia yawns, “Right. I’m putting my shoes on as we speak. I’ll see you soon. Bye.”
She hangs up before Elliot has the chance to respond. Yes, she lied to him. Yes, she’s now freaking out because she looks at herself in the mirror. She spots hickeys prickling both sides of her neck.
“Shit,” Olivia says to herself. The headache that was bound to come. Hits Olivia at that moment.
She opens up her medicine cabinet and takes out a few Motrin tablets.
Walking back out of her bathroom pills in one hand and telephone in the other. Olivia walks back into her kitchen as she searches for a glass. Not bothering to see if Vivian is still asleep.
“You have a nice ass.” Olivia hears the comment and whips her head around.
Vivian is leaning against the wall opposite her kitchen with her leather pants back on.
“Haha. I didn't have enough time to grab my robe. It’s nothing you haven’t seen before. You’re very welcome for the free show.” Olivia says sarcastically.
Vivian scoffs, “I am enjoying it..but I have to get going. My boss is going to be up to my ass about not coming in last night so I wanna get there before he comes in.”
Olivia nods understanding, “I have to go to work too. I have a psych evaluation with a shrink so I’ve been warned by my partner.” Olivia says as she downs 2 of the pills she brought from the bathroom with a cold glass of water.
She then walks to where Vivian is standing and offers her the other two pills she has in her hand and that same cold glass of water.
Vivian says, “Thank you,” and Olivia starts to get herself ready for her day. In a rushed manner. By the time Olivia is ready and almost out of the door. Having only to touch up her neck. Which is covered in hickeys.
Vivian stops by her bathroom. She just stares at Olivia.
“What?” Olivia says, Trying to contain the blush that threatens to spread across her cheeks.
“Nothing. I'm just going to go now. I had a great time Olivia. Maybe we can hang out again soon?” Vivian says softly.
“I had a great time too. Maybe we can. We’ll see what the future holds.” Olivia says, looking back at Vivian through her mirror.
Vivian nods her head rapidly, accepting the words Olivia has just spoken.
But before she leaves, Vivian comes up from behind Olivia and lays a kiss on her cheek, and says “goodbye” to her.
Once Olivia hears her apartment door shut. She smiles, finishes getting herself ready, and heads out the door as well.
What a night to remember.
