Work Text:
Eden was new. Plants, animals, smells, textures. All new. God’s humans hadn’t been placed yet. Crawly watched as a light, fluffy angel patrolled, checking on all the inhabitants as night fell, patting them, whispering to them. Crawly moved to a more conspicuous perch, putting himself in the angel’s path.
“Ah, you must be new!” Crawly’s head was supported in a warm, gentle hand as the other stroked his back carefully. “I’ve not seen you before! Well, don’t worry, you’re safe and loved, my dear.”
Warm lips pressed against the top of his head before the angel left.
What was that?!
