Work Text:
Mobius threw a piece of metal on the papers in front of Loki.
“That's a paperclip, you should use it.”
“I know what a paperclip is,” said Loki.
“Really?” said Mobius, lifting his eyebrow and looking at the mess of papers fanned out across an entire library table.
“I like to spread things out, it helps me visualize.”
“Okay, oh wise one, what are you visualizing right now?”
Loki looked down at the papers for the umpteenth time, and sighed, rubbing his forehead in exhaustion.
“Sleep. I'm so tired, and there is no place to take a nap in this place.”
“Oh there is, you just don't have access to it.” Mobius looked at Loki, and thought he could see bags under the poor guys eyes “Alright, you can use the bed in my quarters.”
“Why Mobius is that an invitation?” Loki asked, with a glint in his eye.
“It's sympathy, don't make me regret it.”
Mobius lead Loki over to the elevator, and took it down to the floor with the living quarters. Mobius swiped into his small apartment, and brought them into his bedroom.
“There you go,” he said pointing at the bed, he was lucky enough have a double, because of his rank.
“I'll get you an extra blanket” said Mobius going out into the hall, to grab a blanket out of the hall closet, “I'll come wake you in a few hours, that should give you plenty of time for a nap.”
When Mobius reentered the room Loki was already fast asleep on the bed, he hadn't even bothered to undress. Mobius covered Loki with the blanket. Loki was so peaceful as he slept, in fact he looked rather sweet. He looks good there, thought Mobius, oh man, this was not a good idea, and yet he didn't disturb Loki, he went back to his sitting room, to read his files and wait.
