“Hi-” Dean clears his throat “Hiya Cas, I thought you needed some, uh, culture. These are my favorite Zeppelin songs. And some commentary for, uh, each one.” click
The opening drum beats of Fool In The Rain suddenly appear within the tape. Thunder can be heard thrumming down on the bunker’s roof. Dean hums in the background, subtle enough. He thinks. He is wrong. Castiel can hear every note of joy in his voice as he sings, every lyric mumbled, keeping some form of common courtesy. After a very long 6 minutes, Dean starts speaking again:
“Number 13: Fool In The Rain. God, I used to love this one, I’d rewind every tape a million times over. It seemed like the background music for a long time, when Sammy was gone and Joh-'' there's a pause, a very short, but noticeable pause. “When I was alone in the impala, driving down some highway, between jobs. Those opening notes sounded like freedom. My favorite line was always Well there's a light in your eyes that keeps on shinin’/ like a star that can’t wait for the night.”
Dean speaks in his best Robert Plant impression.
“ This may sound stupid, but it- it kinda reminds me of you, when your eyes get all glowy and smitey. You have really nice eyes, Cas.” Dean’s drunk, Cas absentmindedly thought. Of course, he is, his slurred speech and bubbly laughter should have made that obvious.
“Ok! Onto song Number 12! Cue it up DJ-DW!”
Dean's giggling. Dean Winchester is a cute, giggly drunk. Castiel thinks, and before he knows it the next song begins.
