Slamming the office door shut behind him Majid stalked out into the pounding rain, a vitriolic string of curses leaving his lips as he walked with fury away from his infuriating boss. He’d known the moment he’d first stuck his dick into that madman that he was making the worst choice of his life, but Fabio was charismatic, he was dangerous, he was better than any drug that the former boxer had ever felt. The adrenaline that coursed through his veins when they were together was something he couldn’t quite seem to let slip away. Though he wondered if someone could ever walk away from Fabio, not unless their usefulness was through.
Whoever spoke about mixing business and pleasure being a bad idea certainly had a point, though hindsight was a beautiful thing. He let out a long huff as he reached the corner of the block and leant heavily against the stone wall, pulling a cigarette from the nearly empty packet. Of course it was just his luck that he couldn’t find his lighter in any pocket, he’d been about to let out another colourful string of swears when a figure stopped in front of him, lighting the stick hanging between his lips.
Brown eyes rose slowly, for a moment he thought Fabio had followed him after their fight, a foolish thought given that Fabio never apologised. No, the eyes were too soft, too kind for his manic lover. And the thinness of the face should’ve been an immediate giveaway. “I thought you weren’t back for a few days Ce.” he said as he blew out a puff of smoke.
Cesare shrugged as he leaned next to Majid, his ethereal eyes raising to look at the grey clouds above them as he took a drag from his own cigarette. Though he and Fabio were twins, Majid always thought that Ce seemed much younger, even in their crime-filled world he still held a sense of naivety that stirred something deep within Majid. He tried to convince himself it was protectiveness for the brother of his lover, but in recent months he’d begun to doubt that it was that simple. No, he felt drawn to Ce in a way he shouldn’t, in a way that would get a bullet in his dick if not in his brain too. Fabio was a jealous man, if he knew the man sharing his bed was drawn to his brother...well, Majid imagined his rage would be beyond compare. Yet the danger seemed to make the prospect all the more enticing.
Majid wasn’t an idiot, he knew he was an attractive man, made a point to wear clothes to show off the muscles he worked damn hard for, and he’d seen Ce looking. Perhaps he’d flexed them deliberately on the odd occasion just to make that stare linger. And the young Italian was sweet, well sweeter than anyone in their line of business could be. He knew the young man had been burned by a friend, he suspected the whole story went deeper than that but he had never pushed, but he could see the loneliness in those sad eyes. He was fucking sick of begging for scraps of attention from Fabio, sick of being used for a quick fuck only to get tossed aside like yesterday’s news the moment they were done. Just once it might’ve been nice to have a chance to get his breath back before being unceremoniously shoved out of bed.
Dropping his cigarette to the floor he stubbed it out, turning fully to Cesare “Let’s get a drink.” he murmured, gesturing to the bar across the road. He’d always avoided spending time alone with the younger Cannizaro for fear he’d be unable to keep his hands to himself. Well, if he was throwing caution to the wind there was no need to keep an enforced distance any longer. Fuck Fabio, he was done with that drama, he was done with his games. He noticed the other had not moved an inch beyond looking almost longingly to the bar beyond.
“I am due to give my brother a report from my trip.” Ce replied, his tone almost distant, never moving away from the rundown establishment just a hundred feet away. He absently took another drag from his cigarette, sending a cloud of smoke into the air as he found himself lost in thought.
Before the younger man could come to a decision Majid reached out and took the cigarette from between his fingers, putting it between his own lips. The action was enough to pull Ce’s gaze back to him, close enough that the Dutchman could see his pupils could grow larger at the unexpected brush of their hands. “He’s got Rica and the others in there, you and I both know he’ll leave you waiting outside the kennels for at least a couple of hours. How about you and I make use of that time and share a couple of drinks.” he blew out a cloud of smoke, noting the way Ce’s eyes dipped to his lips. “Live a little.”
Wide eyed Ce took a moment to clear his throat, his hands pushing suddenly into the pockets of his jacket. He looked every inch a boy with his hand caught in the cookie jar, it shouldn’t have been so endearing, yet it made Majid want to devour him. “...A few drinks can’t hurt…” he replied, quiet enough that Majid had to strain to hear him, but the moment they were spoken the former boxer had clasped his shoulder and was steering him into the bar. Wanting a little privacy he pointedly ignored the stools at the front and led him to one of the more private booths.
Silence lay between them for several minutes, two glasses of vodka soon on the table before them alongside a couple of beers. It was another few before finally it was broken, surprisingly enough by the nervous Italian. “You do too much for him. And he gives you no thanks for it.”
Majid snorted, though he downed the glass of Vodka before he began to speak. “Trust me when I say I’m well aware of all the qualities which your brother is lacking in.” He leaned back as he spoke, arms laying casually upon the backrest of the booth. “He wants everything but cares for nothing...and yet you and I both know it’s near impossible to sway him from what he wants…” The green eyes that had been fixed upon him darted away at the comment, his gaze falling down to the glass within his hands, not looking up even as he downed the contents. The sight of sadness made him reach out, his hand resting upon the Italian’s forearm. “That isn’t to say that he should have everything the way he wants though…” At the comment Ce’s eyes flickered upwards in surprise, and dare he say hope?
Cesare’s other hand slipped from the glass to settle over Majid’s, thumb absently strolling over the skin below in a way that was undeniably reverent. “Upsetting my brother has consequences, it would be foolish to cross him…”
“And yet when you’re suffering it doesn’t seem to matter to him? Don’t think I haven’t noticed it. Something changed in the last year…” he felt the other man stiffen, noted the way he looked away and wanted so much to pull him into his arms. “One minute you’re happy and smiling, then the next I hear you’re venturing off to work for Fabio solo and you look like a kicked puppy. I’m...I’m not gonna press but you deserve to be happy too. This life is a crappy one, we all got dealt a shit hand of cards, but we’ve got to make the best of that…” He turned his hand under Ce’s, letting their fingertips brush. “If you were to have a choice on how to play those cards what would you do…”
It was a question he’d never considered before, he had always been in the background. Fabio had taken the attention as children, and as they had grown he’d simply followed his brother, had fallen into step in the organisation the older Cannizaro built. And then there was Vittorio. A man he had loved since they were teenagers, a man who saw him only as a friend, even after everything. A man who’d left him alone without a glance back. How was he to know what he truly wanted when he’d long ago given away any hope for joy.
Majid’s heart clenched as he noted the way that Cesare’s face fell. He suspected Fabio never noticed the softer side his younger brother still retrained. But Majid spotted it, spotted the sadness that would take hold of his eyes. “Just because people leave us behind and abandon us doesn’t make us less worthy. You know that right?”
Cesare laughed a little though it was a bitter sound. “You know it is foolish to think in such a way right? We do not matter in the grand scheme of things. Not even to Fabio. He keeps us around for our use.”
Majid held his tongue. He’d caught glimpses of the softer side of his infuriating lover on occasion, but the hard emotional wall the criminal had built seemed impossible to climb and he was so tired of being lashed out at for even trying. Sighing he reached out to cover Ce’s hand. “Well you matter to me okay.”
Cesare grew silent as he looked down upon their intertwined hands. He couldn’t deny that Majid brought him such warmth. The occasional glances seemed to be getting more frequent, and he couldn’t deny the strong Dutchman had slipped into his fantasies. It seemed like hell to be drawn to two men whose love was an impossibility. One, a man who didn’t want him, the second a man who had already been claimed by his manic brother. “I should….” he pulled his hand back and stood up. “I need some air.” He turned on his heal and slipped out of the side exit without a glance back.
“Shit.” Majid cursed, slamming a note down on the table as he rose to his feet and hurried after Ce, finding the man stood in the shadows of the alley with his head tilted back against the cool brick. “Ce…”
“You should go back to him.” The Italian warned, his heart hammering faster still in his chest as the other man began to move towards him.
“What if I don’t want to? What if I want to make sure that you’re okay.”
“I am okay, you need not check up on me…”
“See that’s what I think the problem is.” Majid replied softly, coming to stop just in front of Ce. He reached out to cup the back of Ce’s neck, guiding his head forwards so that he could at least meet his gaze. “Nobody has been taking the time to make sure that you are alright.”
Tears rose unbidden in the younger man’s gaze, tears that he raised his hand to wipe away before Majid beat him to it, soft as he wiped away the twin tracks.
“You don’t have to be okay. You don’t have to hide everything and take the world on your shoulders.” Majid whispered softly now, tilting his head forwards to rest their foreheads together. “Lean on me. Let me be there for you.”
Ce took in a deep breath, his eyes flickering instinctively to Majid’s lips before he could catch himself. He shouldn’t, this was so wrong. But he wanted, oh he wanted. He nodded softly once, managing a single breath more before lips were pressed firmly to his own. Majid’s touch grounding as it pressed him up against the wall. His own arms found their way around the Dutchman’s neck as he kissed him back desperately unable to hold back his desire any more.
Majid’s hand slipped between them, hurried as he worked open both of their zippers. They had to be quick, anyone could walk past the end of the alley and catch sight of them. And if Fabio found out there would be hell to pay. It was with great relief he managed to free his dick, aroused by the soft, breathy moan that rose from his young lover as he finally managed to get his hand around both of their cocks.
It was just on the right side of rough, both of them hitching their hips wildly as they rocked against one another. Majid broke the kiss, dropping his head to suck a dark bruise into younger man’s throat. “Fuck Ce…” he croaked needily.
“Do it….fuck me….” he replied suddenly, gasping sharply as the other man stroked a little more roughly in his surprise. As Majid pulled back to look at him he met his gaze firmly. “I want it...I want for you to fuck me…”
It took Majid far too little time to make a decision. Almost instantly he was nodding softly, he wanted it. He couldn’t deny his need any longer. “I want that. I want that I promise you...but not right now. Fabio is gonna be pissed with me, and he’s gonna come looking for you soon enough. But later….I promise you later. We’ll find a way.”
Cesare had had endless promises broken to him over the course of his life, but there was something about Majid that was different. He felt like he could trust in his promise, that the other man would not let him down. “...later.” he agreed, slipping his own hand to join Majid’s to start up a rhythm once more. “Later.”
“Later.” Majid parroted, sealing their lips together as he began to rock his hips harder still, the pace of his hand quickening to match the thrusts. He felt the moment Cesare hit his own climax, the younger man arching against him, fingertips of his free hand digging into Majid’s upper back.
Majid slipped his hand to rest at the base of Ce’s neck, grounding the other man in place as he slipped into the haze of his orgasm. The other took a better grip of his own cock stroking hard and fast in chase of his own release. It took only a few more strokes before he was cumming messily, stifling his cry of pleasure in the softness of Ce’s tied hair.
“Fabio has me on a security mission from midday tomorrow....It means I’ll be free tonight. I can come around…” The Dutchman suggested softly, pressing an absent kiss to the brown locks.
“Come up the fire escape. Third window along. He doesn’t monitor it…” Cesare whispered, taking a step back to begin to make himself more presentable. He hesitated a moment then leaned in to steal a single brief but firm kiss. “Tonight…”
“Tonight.” Majid agreed, catching Cesare’s fingertips in his for just a moment before finally the younger man turned and slipped from the alley. One thing was for certain. He was well and truly fucked.
