Work Text:
Animalistic moans of ecstasy wafted through the air, carrying with them the overwhelming scent of sex through the dimmed space. Strobing flashes lit up the building every few minutes, highlighting the masses of bodies as they undulated along the daybeds open on the floor. Couples and trios writhed together, lost in their lust-hazed worlds as they focused solely on their partners, small bubbles of paradise amidst the mass population of the brothel.
There were private rooms, but most petty officers either couldn’t afford the extra fee or simply didn’t care. Though the rooms were often occupied, regardless. Mob bosses, highly-successful bounty hunters, higher-ranking officers.
Him.
Rey shook the thought from her mind, throwing what she hoped was a flirty smirk over her shoulder at the First Order General she was currently leading to one of those coveted private rooms.
She was, after all, a prize. Auctioned off to the highest bidder.
This man, this General Quinn, with his pinched face and passive, almost bored blue eyes. He’d bid over eighty-thousand credits to bed her, demanding private accommodations that the Lady of the brothel was more than happy to provide.
The Lady, who had been extremely underwhelmed by Rey when she’d first entered and requested employment.
“Too scrawny,” the Theelin woman had scoffed when Rey said she wanted to apply. “You think you can reel ‘em in with tits like that? Come back when you’ve had some modifications.”
Rey had blanched, hands instinctively moving to cover the chest she’d never before been self-conscious about. The Lady had glanced over Rey’s shoulder, eyes zeroing in on the other member of Rey’s party.
“You, on the other hand, I think we can work with,” the Lady had clicked, stepping around Rey to caress one of Rose’s blushing cheeks. “Beautiful skin,” she murmured, bright green eyes absorbing Rose’s features like oxygen. “Tits and ass to boot, and you’re petite. You’d be perfect here.”
Rose threw a desperate glance at Rey, and Rey watched as Rose’s features morphed from fear to understanding to hardened resolve. The decision rejected only briefly before it was made. They both knew what was on the line if Rey didn’t get in, didn’t offer herself up to First Order officers for information. But Rey knew Rose was better off with the Resistance, doing tech work for the miniscule numbers they had left. And she had Finn and Poe to return to.
“I’m untouched!” Rey shouted, scraping the last vestiges of hope from the empty barrel of her chest. It needed to be her. For information, yes, but also because he –
“Well, now that is interesting,” the Theelin Lady commented, turning her back on Rose and giving Rey her full attention once more. An appraising eye washed over Rey’s body. “A virgin is quite a treat. How old are you?”
“Twenty standard years,” Rey guessed, rolling her shoulders back and puffing out her meager chest.
The Lady pursed her lips, humming as she continued roving her eyes over Rey’s form. “I can work with that.” She snapped her fingers, and two twi’lek women appeared from behind one of the gaudy green curtains, dressed in almost nothing. Hips swayed in unison, strips of cloth straining to cover shapely breasts as they moved in sync. As comfortable in their bodies as they were in this lifestyle. “Take her for a fitting, and have Greesh put out a memo. We have an auction tonight.”
A thin lavender finger stroked Rey’s cheek. “What’s your name, honey?”
“Kira,” she answered, swallowing a lump in her throat. A fake name Finn had come up with before he and Poe had dropped her off with Rose for backup. Rey wished they would have stayed – their excuse about having business elsewhere felt more and more hollow to her ears as the hypothetical situation became reality.
The Lady grinned. “Miss Kira, I believe you may yet prove your worth.”
Rey was shocked from her reverie when she finally reached the door to her private accommodations, nerves making her hands shake as she fumbled with the keypad.
This was it. She was going to enter this room untouched, and leave in some amount of time knowing what it was like to have a man inside of her. A man that was almost as far from him as she could get – with his thinning, almost bald head of hair and his wrinkled skin, not the handsome prince of–
But eighty-thousand credits. She’d get twenty percent, as was agreed upon in her employment contract. And the Resistance could do a lot with sixteen-thousand credits.
Poe hadn’t been intending for Rey to volunteer herself so willingly when he’d pitched the idea to infiltrate Coruscant’s most infamous brothel. He’d received word from an inside source that the First Order was becoming more active within the brothel and Coruscant as a whole as they grew comfortable with the galactic takeover helmed by the new Supreme Leader. But the Resistance was dangerously close to broke, and as soon as he had mentioned the Supreme Leader being a semi-frequent customer, Rey’s hand was in the air before the mission logistics could be discussed.
“Rey, do you even know what a brothel is?”
She hadn’t.
“It’ll be dangerous! Men and women and everything in between will want pieces of you!”
So they’d send someone else in her place?
“You’re so determined! You don’t know what they’ll do to you!”
It was just sex, wasn’t it? As was the argument she continuously brought up to Finn.
When she’d said as much, Poe had given her a grave look she wasn’t sure how to decipher. He’d said nothing more on the subject, moving past it in the wake of her determination. But she also had information she was scouting that went far beyond the realm of First Order infiltration.
Poe had told her himself. He was a customer. He stepped foot in this place, allowing women to drape their bodies across his as he sought primal pleasure. Pleasure she, prior to learning this, had only ever dreamt about receiving from him.
Her cheeks burned, even at the silent admission. That, above the Resistance’s desperate need for funds and information, the reason she was here letting General Quinn lead her to a private room where he would take the virginity he’d paid for, was jealousy. Petty, uncharacteristic, acidic-tasting jealousy that sat like bile in her throat. When she’d been taken in for a fitting and told the rules she was meant to abide by within the brothel’s walls, she’d taken stock of the beautiful women as they puttered about. Human, twi’lek, togruta, and a variety of other species, all with voluptuous bodies and perfect, unmarred skin and a constant underlying flirtation that Rey could never quite grasp for herself.
When she’d wondered which of those women had laid with him, the noise of the back room was drowned out by the white-hot rage that filled her ears.
Foolishly, she’d assumed that their connection was also a claim they’d staked on one another. That they belonged to each other, body and soul. But clearly he didn’t seem to believe so, so why should she?
Even if, perhaps, this wasn’t the place to seek her unwarranted freedom.
As soon as the door was closed behind them, Quinn was on her, hands grasping her upper arms in a painful grip before he was throwing her on the bed that dominated the room. She grunted when her back hit the mattress, and Quinn was on top of her all at once, his formerly bored blue eyes suddenly boiling as he took in her prone form.
“I’m going to enjoy you,” he snarled, his breath soured with a tinge of caf and tobacco. Rey recoiled, turning her face away as he dragged his nose up her neck as though smelling her. Like he could absorb her essence through long, sickening drags of his nostrils. She squirmed, trying to turn away, and Quinn laughed darkly. “Yes, please, struggle all you’d like. Makes it more interesting. Just don’t forget; you’re mine for the evening. And I’ll return you in any state I’d like.”
The way he stated that so matter-of-factly – like she was a thing to be used and tossed aside, a toy he had every intention of breaking before he left her lying useless on the floor. It made every muscle in her body tense, her fight or flight instinct activated. Every ounce of willpower within her was used to not scream and kick and hiss, to not run all the way to the Falcon on the other side of the Center and retrieve the lightsaber she’d foolishly stashed away for the night.
He stood up, sneering down at her as he began unbuttoning his officer’s uniform. “Now, be a good little whore and undo my trousers.” Rey grit her teeth, glaring up at him, making him quirk an eyebrow. Suddenly, his hand shot out, wrapping painfully in the undone tresses of her hair as he yanked her head back. He knelt menacingly above her, dragging her across the silken sheets as she struggled to free herself of his grasp without using the Force. “Sluts do what they’re told, you worthless harlot,” he hissed as pain prickled across her scalp. The hand in her hair violently pushed her head down, so her nose was pressed against his crotch. Anger and shame warred within the barrier of her flesh, fingers fisted in the sheets beneath her as the buttons of his pants scraped against her cheek.
“Open my goddamn pants,” he commanded, keeping her face pressed firmly against his trousers. She felt him stir beneath her jaw, a sick realization dawning on her. He liked this. He enjoyed her pain, his control over her. Something about her humiliation gave him an abhorrent satisfaction.
Rey wanted to vomit.
Hands shaking, she fought back tears as she slowly began unbuttoning his trousers. His glee was palpable in the added squeeze of pressure on her scalp, the way he spread his legs as he continued to harden beneath her face. Blood coated the inside of her mouth as she resisted the urge to bite his dick, using her own tongue as a placeholder.
“You take too goddamn long,” he chastised. He thrust his crotch punishingly against her cheek, yanking her head toward his hips at the same time. She cried out, the force likely enough to leave a bruise as her cheekbone slammed against one of the silver buttons of his uniform.
Finally, he released her hair, throwing her back against the bed as he ripped his coat off to reveal the plain white undershirt beneath. Rey felt her jaw twitch, power rising beneath her fingertips, and it took every ounce of self-control she had not to throw him into the wall hard enough to crack his skull.
For the Resistance, she thought as he grabbed her ankles, nails digging painfully into her skin as he yanked her toward the edge of the bed. This wasn’t why she’d agreed to this proposition, and the darkness within her chuckled as it reminded her of her own failure as a soldier. She’d done this to chase away thoughts of him; helping her friends had been nothing more than an afterthought, a bonus.
But now she understood. The only way she might survive this is if she thought of him, replacing the grotesque monster above her with his face. She’d lose herself in her imagination, locking her consciousness away as Quinn had his way with her, and pretend it was Ben instead.
Her gossamer skirts rode up as he dragged her to the edge of the mattress, revealing the skimpy lace set the brothel girls had urged her into before they’d paraded her out for the auction. The General stared directly at her center as he grabbed her hand, pressing it firmly to the small bulge in the front of his open slacks. Rey’s entire arm felt like it was engulfed in flames.
Wrong, her mind screamed.
“I normally like them better endowed,” he commented absently, like they were discussing the weather on Chandrila, or talking about the political happenings of the Republic before it fell. “Twi’leks are a personal favorite. But I couldn’t handle the fact that you’re untouched. I almost let you go, too. That damned Hux kept outbidding me.” He grinned down at her, menacing, lips pulled back to reveal a set of straight white teeth that would tear her apart, if given the chance. “Good thing, though. You’ve got a bit of fight in you, and I can’t wait to fuck it out and force you to submit.”
Disgust slithered down her spine, and Rey felt a sob bubble in her throat. She swallowed around it, pushing it back into her lungs and locking it away. His hands slid up her calves, her thighs, calloused and too small. Regret burned behind her eyes.
She pulled her hand away from where he’d been forcing her to fondle him, and a sharp sting lit up her cheek like the lights on a dash. Her vision blurred, and it took a moment for her to realize that he’d slapped her.
“I didn’t tell you to stop touching me, you worthless bitch,” he snarled, his hand wrapping around her wrist in a searing grip as he thrust his clothed erection back into her open palm.
How ridiculous I was to believe I could forget about him this way, she thought angrily, squeezing her eyes shut. Poetic justice, perhaps, that the only thing she wanted in this moment was the one thing she’d been adamant about forgetting.
Suddenly, a scream of terror replaced the ecstasy that was still filtering beneath the door of the private suite. It was followed by a commotion, tables and beds slamming into one another as more screaming and shouting echoed through the large, open chamber just outside of the lodging.
Quinn grimaced, standing up from where he’d been kneeling above her. Rey hurriedly sat up, yanking her skirts back down over her legs as Quinn listened at the door. His eyes grew wide and glassy with fear, and he backed away as the pained howling grew closer to the door. He grabbed her, yanking her bodily off the bed so she fell to the floor in a jumble, knees striking painfully against the durasteel. He wrenched her to her feet, wrapping a hand around her mouth and squeezing her jaw as he backed them into a corner opposite from the door.
Rey fought the General’s manacled hands for only a moment before she felt him.
The talons of his anger pierced the Force in a warcry, white hot and dripping with resentment. Like an iron brand, it ripped through the air with unbearable heat, making even non-Force-sensitive Quinn quiver behind her as he used her as a human shield.
In here, she thought, pushing it across the bond she was so careful to keep closed.
“What is he doing here?” Quinn whispered, his anger belied by the fear in his tone. The firm hand around her jaw pulled her even closer, pain radiating from his grip as he held her mouth shut. “He’s never–”
With that, the door opened.
An ominous black presence entered the room, rage and betrayal radiating off his shoulders in waves. The General gripped Rey tighter, terror whirling around the room in an anxious sandstorm that battered her exposed skin.
But she barely felt it. Relief surged through her chest, even if his eyes could incinerate with how furiously they smoldered. She wanted to move toward him, but Quinn’s arms were wrapped in a suffocating grip around her. As though her frail body could protect him from the fiery red saber that crackled with anger in his hand.
“S-S-Supreme Leader,” Quinn choked, voice warbly with fear. “Y-You didn’t–”
“Unhand her,” Ben demanded, voice booming through the enclosed space. He seemed to take up the entire room, the giant bed looking child-sized beside him. She felt Quinn’s eyes as they darted between her and Ben, his grip only tightening on her bruised skin.
“She’s just a common whore, Sir, she–” he broke off with a garbled gasp, his clutching hands ripping into her skin as Ben stalked toward them. The whiskey-soaked brown of his eyes burned with a rage she’d never before seen, not even from him, as the curled hand he held aloft cinched.
“I said,” Ben growled, close enough that Rey could feel the heat of his body, “unhand her.”
Quinn let go of her instantly, pushing her into Ben, who released his Force hold on the General to catch her before she could topple. The man behind her gasped as Rey did, the ache in her jaw only exacerbated by the release of its confinement. Ben pulled her against his chest, and she could faintly smell the sweat and blood that had been burned into his tunic. Giving a silent voice to the carnage he’d inflicted in his journey to this room.
“I already paid for her,” Quinn gasped, voice hoarse from where Ben’s hold had begun crushing the man’s windpipe. “You’re welcome to her, Supreme Leader, for the entire evening–!”
His pleas were cut off when the arm not holding Rey raised, Ben’s saber flying through the air and ending the man’s life in a fatally caustic wound. His body thumped onto the mattress.
Rey took deep, terrified breaths, the gravity of her situation falling on her shoulders all at once. She’d nearly… Gods, that man had nearly taken something from her that would have ruined her. Not the sex, no. But something heinous. Had they continued without interruption, Rey’s certain all at once that Quinn would have destroyed something in her spirit rather than her body. The sick, twisted way he’d been so utterly attracted to her pain and unwilling demeanor only proved that.
Rey heard the flick of his saber as it powered off, and the click as he clipped it back to his belt. She felt his hands as they wrapped delicately around her shoulders, something heartbreakingly similar to an embrace. And then he –
– pushed her away.
Rey looked up at him, eyes wide, and saw the careful way with which he held his features impassive. But she could feel how they were contorted with fury just beneath the surface, the betrayal and deception that rolled through him in a thundering deluge of black emotion. It was always his eyes that gave him away, never quite able to replicate the mask held so stonily across the rest of his face. They seethed with everything he was unwilling or unable to repress.
“Ben–”
“What are you doing here?” he demanded, his hands never quite leaving her shoulders. His grip faltered, like he was unsure if he wanted to push her further away or pull her back to his chest. Rey felt her own anger as it rose up to meet his, taking a step back and firmly planting herself out of his reach.
“What do you care?” she replied, crossing her arms over the threadbare gossamer currently decorating her body, feeling more exposed than she had during her auction. “What are you even doing here, anyway!?”
He covered the miniscule distance she’d put between them, hands once more falling to her shoulders before she could wave him off. She looked away, the overwhelming intensity of his eyes threatening to overtake her, make her drop to her knees and beg for a forgiveness he didn’t deserve.
It had been too long since she’d been in his presence. He threatened to suffocate her now, to drown her in the desires she’d long suppressed. Desires she’d never before given voice to. She wanted to scream and cry and throw herself into his arms and run him through with his own saber, all at once. A volatile, dangerous mix that warred in her chest and brought tears to her eyes.
“I came because you called me,” he said, voice still laced with an underlying anger, even as it dissolved to make way for a softness she wasn’t prepared to face. Rey shook her head, scoffing, trying to hide the moisture building in her ducts.
“I did no such thing.”
“Rey–”
“Are you sure you’re not here on one of your recurrent visits?” she spat, clinging to the jealousy that had consecrated her fall into this alarming lifestyle such a short time ago. “The mighty Supreme Leader Kylo Ren drops in on the Coruscant brothel to alleviate tension, isn’t that right?”
He said nothing, but in her peripheral she could see the hardened set of his shoulders as they vibrated with something obscured behind the curtain of his disdain. Cool leather found home on her jaw, his fingertips circling her bone in a gentle yet firm grip. As though he was aware of the pain Quinn had caused her and wasn’t interested in new additions to her bruises. She followed his guide, allowing him to turn her face toward his. Ben looked at her for only a moment before his lips descended on hers.
Desire overtook the surprise in a single bound, and Rey was throwing her arms around his shoulders, kissing him back with all the pent-up fervor she’d denied herself all these months without him. She growled when he didn't try to deepen the kiss, and didn't try to take from her the way everyone else seemed intent on exploiting. Instead, his hands cupped her jaw and neck with an undeserved reverence, even if his anger was still apparent in the rigidity of his body.
Taking his bottom lip between her teeth, she yanked his sensitive skin sharply, like she could transfer the pain still dancing across her jaw to him. Or perhaps she was intent on hurting him, so in turn he could hurt her. Desperate for the reminder of how awful he was, how he had laid siege to entire planets, trapping them under the thumb of the Order her guerrilla fighters were trying to eliminate.
Ben grunted, kissing her harder, until she released his lip and he pulled away completely. She hissed, chasing his mouth, but the firm hand around her jaw kept her stationary.
In her desperation for his pain, she hadn’t realized just how much of herself she’d given to him until the blend of their Force within their melded minds retreated some, tendrils of his energy returning to his own signature.
Ben hummed, a deep, mournful sound that reverberated from within his chest and echoed hollowly through her bones. “You believe other women could possibly exist for me?” he murmured, voice steady despite the frustration that was building in his energy.
Rey blinked up at him, the intensity of his eyes turning her knees to rubber. “But the rumors–”
“Are just that,” he interrupted with a disbelieving shake of his head. “Rumors. Lies spread throughout the ranks of petty offices to give humanity to the feared Supreme Leader, I’m sure. That another person might entice my eye or my body is laughable. I’ve never stepped foot in this disgusting place before today.”
Rey shrank in on herself, but his leather-clad hands on her skin kept her from looking anywhere that wasn’t him. The open honesty in his face was engulfing and mesmerizing and the tears she’d been desperately trying to suppress emerged all at once, spilling in steady rivulets down her cheeks. Had she fallen for such a ruse? Having convinced herself she knew him, she’d allowed her jealous doubts to drive her insecurities. She couldn’t believe–
“Rey,” he breathed, interrupting her train of thought, “I know only you.”
And then he kissed her once more. Deeper now, pressing his frustration at her incomprehension against every available inch of skin he could touch. His tongue traced the swell of her bottom lip, her mouth opening in surprise and giving him the access he’d silently requested. She moaned against the intrusion, and turned them both until her thighs met the mattress. Ben pulled away, sitting her on the edge of the plush silk as his thumb gently grazed the line of her jaw. His eyes darted to the body she studiously ignored a mere few feet away and hardened.
“What did he take from you?” Ben demanded, his voice anxious, tipped in agony. Expecting the worst, she assumed. As though he wouldn’t have felt the defilement for himself. Rey shook her head, leaning forward to rest her forehead against the scratchy material of his tunic.
“Just my pain,” she whispered, his breath stuttering beneath her skull. “You were here before he could take anything more.”
A shuffling against her, and then his hands, bared of his gloves, were cupping her cheeks, tilting her face up toward his once more. “You were so distressed.”
“Ben…”
“I will always come for you when you call, starlight,” he vowed, and the certainty in his tone coupled with that same honesty in his eyes had tears welling for an entirely different reason. He kissed her again, the weight of his body pressing her back into the mattress. It was warm and wet, seeping through the thin, almost transparent material of her dress, but she ignored that. Ignored anything that wasn’t the way Ben’s body felt atop hers, the way his hands held her like she was something precious, something fragile.
Her body rolled against his of its own volition, making Ben gasp. She inhaled the sound like she could swallow it, trap it in the depths of her lungs and keep it there forever. Hands traveled down, fisting in the material of her dress and ripping it and her undergarments away like they were made of paper. The clasps of his own tunic followed, shedding his cape and his outer layers in seconds that seemed to last a lifetime, until his chest was bare save for the belts of his arm bands. Rey’s fingertips danced along the contours of his pectorals, the slight definition of his ribs, the smooth lines of his abdomen. She felt for his scars, tracing the puckered, uneven flesh and committing it to memory.
No one else gets this, she reminded herself as his lips blazed a smoldering trail of hot coals down her neck. No one else gets him like this.
“Just you,” he acquiesced, speaking reverent words against her skin like he could imprint them into the very atoms of her body. His teeth nipped her pulse point, soothing the transgression with the caress of his tongue as she keened in his arms. She wrapped her legs around his hips, trying to pull him closer, his own feet still firmly planted on the ground. But he kept the distance, using it to maneuver his hand between their bodies. Warm fingertips traced the round of her hip, the soft skin of her belly, before tip-toeing down her pelvis and brushing against the thatch of curls at the apex of her thighs. Rey writhed in his arms, back arching under his slight ministrations in anticipation of more.
The sampling of her neck ceased as he broached her soaked slit with his fingers, and Rey was transfixed by the hunger in his eyes as he absorbed every microexpression that flitted across her face. His breathing was harsh against her lips, swallowing her soft moans for himself as he teased her sensitive flesh. Deft fingers circled the aching button at the top of her cunt, Rey’s breath coming in harsh gasps as he tapped and brushed that place that she’d only ever explored with her own hands.
“Beautiful,” he murmured, impassioned eyes watching her like he wanted to carve a sculpture of her from memory. A visage of her countenance in the throes of ecstasy eternally imprinted into a work of art. The blunt tips of his fingers carefully breached her entrance, circling just past the first knuckle before they retreated, leaving her begging for more.
“Ben,” she keened as he did it again, teasing her, flushing her with desire and proving his own control. “Please.”
Lips finding hers, he sank two digits fully inside of her desperate channel, her body clenching down on the intrusion like it had been waiting her entire life for him. She squirmed as he pumped and stroked her inner walls, thumb still keeping careful attention on her clit. It seemed inevitable that he’d draw her to the precipice in quick strides, launching her over the edge of her orgasm with hardly any effort. As she came, he pulled away from her lips, drinking in every broken utterance of his name, every roll of her hips as she chased that feeling of euphoria he pumped like an I.V. into her veins.
“One more,” he breathed, the pace of his hand relentless as he carried her through the aftershocks. “One more, starlight, please.”
She couldn’t have denied him if she’d tried.
Fingers curling against her front wall, Rey’s legs kicked out at the foreign sensation that rolled through her body, curling her toes and making her hands cling to his shoulders like it was the only anchor in this plane of existence. Her hips moved in tandem with his hand, the friction building like an unstable brick tower that had no choice but to fall. His opposite hand carefully crested the top of her breast, tracing the slight curve in tighter and tighter circles. When he finally found the bud of her nipple, the brick tower crashed to the ground, another orgasm ripping through her body like it could rip her apart from the inside.
She panted broken renditions of his name interspersed with curses and pleas as he slowed his vocations on her spent body. Her thighs shook, wet with desire and cum.
He looked at her, and she nodded, answering his silent inquiry when her hands fell to his trousers. Aiding her perusal, he undid the complicated fasteners, freeing his aching cock but not bothering to remove the pants. Pulling her hips to the edge of the bed, Ben bent over her, allowing her to pump his length once with her curious hand before she guided him to her entrance.
Pressing their foreheads together, he kept his eyes on her, looking for any ounce of hesitation as he slid himself through her wet folds. In lieu of another yes like she’d given him across the bond, she cupped his face in her hands and kissed him as he inched his way in, hissing at the tight passage. One hand held her hip as the other sought her oversensitive clit. He circled it, Rey gasping sharply against his mouth as sparks of pleasure raced through her entire body, willing it to open and accept as he fucked himself into her. The pain was brief, and then it was gone.
They both grunted when their hips met, breaking the kiss to pant against one another’s lips. Every intake of breath a reminder of how full she was, her body and mind engulfed in nothing but Ben. He would smother her, absorb her, retain every gasping breath for himself until all that was left of her was wanton need and echoed moans. And she would thank him for it.
The slightest rock of his hips was flint against steel, igniting the kindling of their shared desire until there was nothing but burning need. He planted an arm against the bed, back bowed over her as he thrust into her pliant cunt again and again. Claiming what she’d been pressed to sell to the monster currently rotting beside their live, blissed bodies. Claiming what was rightfully his all along. Fingernails dug into the arm protectors of his shoulders, sliding down the divot of his spine and finding home in his soft skin. His only response was a groan, his hair falling like a curtain around them, until her eyes could see nothing but his own as he lost himself in the rapture of her body.
“Rey,” he groaned, her name falling like a prayer from his lips. The only holy word in his book of devout faith. She felt deified, worshipped, his cock hitting depths within her body that she would swear didn’t exist until he was inside of her. Every thrust seemed to find a new secret spot, a pantheon of pleasure as it volleyed back and forth between them.
“Only you,” she gasped, eyes screwing shut as her release once more lapped at her heels, the waves growing stronger with every ingress of his hips. The words erupting from her heart like a geyser, a rendition of a promise they’d already made a lifetime ago, when the fire crackling beside her was more distant than the lightyears between their clasped hands. “Kriff, Ben, only you.”
Never anyone else, he responded silently as his lips captured hers, the fingertips between their bodies resuming their strumming on her engorged clit. She screamed into his mouth, the tidal wave of her release overtaking them both as her body convulsed around his. His own release was imminent, warm spurts of his spend coating her walls after mere seconds, the euphoria suspending them somewhere between time and space as they trembled in one another’s arms.
When his body finally relaxed against hers, his hand came up, caressing her cheek with a warm wet that left a sticky trail across her skin. Rey leaned into the gesture, kissing him again and again. Their chests heaved in unison, breathing slowing together as their bodies relaxed, sated.
He pulled away to look at her, thumb still gently stroking her cheek as the sticky trail dried and flaked on her skin.
“How did you end up here?” he asked, voice soft in the wake of their union.
“The Resistance,” she began, keeping her arms anxiously wrapped around him, though he made no move to escape her embrace, “is low on funds. Ever since Leia...”
She shouldn’t be telling him this. Shouldn’t be telling him of the follies of her comrades.
But she didn’t want to hide anything anymore.
Ben’s eyes hardened, but still, he made no move to leave. “They had you offer up your body in exchange for credits?”
“I volunteered,” she argued, but it felt dry, coating her tongue in an acrid, unpleasant taste. The jealousy that had held her aloft had dissipated, leaving nothing but shame in its wake. “I thought…”
He searched her eyes, and seemed to understand all at once just how much of this harebrained plan had been done in search of information about him. How she’d selfishly used it as an excuse to find people with whom she would seek pleasure, because he allegedly wasn’t above such an institution.
How much she hated herself for her own stubbornness.
Fear clawed at her throat once more in the wake of what had almost happened, and she remembered the grave tone Poe had taken with her when they’d discussed what she’d be doing. How he seemed to be holding back, allowing her to come to her own conclusions about her scheme once she was already in the neck of it.
He knew. He knew what would happen to her, and he didn’t try to stop her, or at least explain what was a possibility.
She hated how much she’d already cried today, but the tears came and they weren’t stopping.
Ben wiped them away, wrapping her tightly in his arms and holding her close. A comfort she’d never anticipated needing, but always knew she would find with him alone. He rocked her gently as her sobbing ebbed, carding his fingers through the knots in her hair, caressing her aching jaw, kissing her bruised cheek.
They said nothing more as he finally pulled himself from her sore center. As he dressed, leaving her in her ragged dress and stained with the blood of the General that had pooled around them during their coupling.
Ben said nothing more as he wrapped his cloak around her shaking shoulders. Not until he held a hand toward her, outstretched, parted fingers still bare as he awaited her decision.
Then, all he said was, “Please.”
She knew what she would see when they left this room. The blood of General Quinn would pale in comparison to the destruction he’d caused when he’d come for her, the people he’d slaughtered in his desperate search. Spurred on by her fear, by the guards she was sure stood in his way, by the Lady and the unoccupied consorts who reminded him of what she almost became. The floor would be saturated, stained red and piled with chaos.
Proof of his utter devotion.
This time, she took his hand.
