Nathaniel was wrapped in chains. He squirmed to get out to help his sister who was reaching out to him. The cut on his hip oozing blood turning the water around him a dark red. His long hair for a boy at least that’s what their dad said floated up. He saw Elena sink down. He had failed to save her.
At that moment he shoot out of bed.
His eyes had no need to adjust to the dark. They were always like that. He had no issues in the dark. He could see everything just with no color. For him the object was grey and the outline black.
When Jeremy got scared of the dark cause he couldn’t see Nathaniel stayed with him and he promised to Jeremy that he would keep both him and Elena safe even if it cost him is life.
Nathaniel got up to his bathroom. Him being the oldest aunt Jenna gave him his own. He got a glass cup he kept in the cupboard and poured some water. He downed it in half a second. He left and went back to his room. The lights flickered on as he flipped the switch.
He got ready he had a MCR shirt and black pants with his mom’s jean jacket. The black drew attention to the White birds nest on his head. He brushed every nought out then curled it to look like Jasper from twilight. When he finally went down stairs his Aunt Jenna was panicking.
“Toast!! I can make Toast. Where is Nat. Nathaniel oh your up. Here’s your dog tag” She said as she kissed his cheek and gave him his dog tag to show he has asthma.
“Yes I was probably up first my hair was a rats nest though”
“Your first day of school and I’m totally unprepared” she said trailing off.
“Lunch money” she said hold up a $20 in each hand. Nathaniel and Jeremy took it while Elena turned it down. “Don’t you have a presentation today” Elena asked. “Yes I’m meeting with my thesis advisor at now” Jenna said in a panic. When she went out the door Nathaniel pointed out she left her lunch.
Nathaniel headed to school he unlike his sister was unelected by cars so he drove. Elena rode with Bonnie. When he got there a new guy asked Nathaniel to show him around.
“My names Nathaniel you can call me Nat. You?”
“Stefan. Stefan Salvatore” he said. “Nice to meet you. Stefan the office is this way” he showed Stefan the office and went on his way. During history
Mr. Tanner felt the need to say “I see Nathaniel has decided his white hair is not enough it needs to be not only long but curled” “What can I say it’s my best feature””It’s also very distracting” “Well school won’t let me dye it not like I would you can’t make me cut it you have no control wethier I curl it or not and no one here seems distracted except you” Nathaniel pointed out.
After class he went straight home no stops. He curled up and took a dreamless nap. When he woke up he heard Jeremy close his door all sad like. Nathaniel got up and went to see him.
“What’s up baby brother” “You know me and Vicki were a thing well now she wants nothing to do with me” “Awwww I’m sorry if she can’t see how amazing you are then it’s her lose” Nathaniel said. “You always know the right thing to say” “That’s cause I’m magical” “Are not” “Am too” “Are not” “Am too” this time Nathaniel took a pillow and hit Jeremy with it over and over again. “Okay okay I get it your Magical just stop” He begged in between laughs. Nathaniel finally stopped. He went back to bed holding his baby brother in his arms. “Night night” he said sleepily.

When he woke up he changed his shirt re curled his hair and left. He was just going to spend his night at the grill.
When Bonnie came in with Caroline. “Hey what’s up”
“Cares drunk and Vicki got attacked.”
“Oh my god who found her”
“Jeremy” at that Nathaniel drove home as fast as he could not befor he bumped into a very hot Male.
“Oh I’m sorry”

“Nice to meet you Damon. I’m sorry to cut this short but I have to go” Nathaniel rushed. When he got their Jeremy was crying silently. “Oh Jer bear I’m so sorry, I know you love her. She’ll be okay” Nathaniel said as he held his brother. “I’m sorry I’m so sorry” Nathaniel whispered to him.
