Chapter 1: ranboo in the uk what will he do

Chapter Text

Ranboo smiled to himself as he looked around the airport. He had flown all the way to the UK to surprise his boyfriend. His plan was perfect and he had come up with it all by himself.

Well actually he had help from Tubbo coming up with the plan but that wasn’t the point. The point was he was finally going to meet his boyfriend in person and he couldn’t be happier.

Actually he would be happier if he could find out where the hell Tubbo was. The boy was supposed to come pick him up and he had no clue where he was.

Ranboo sighed as he walked around the airport, suitcase in hand, looking for the short brunette.

------

Tommy sighed. His boyfriend had been ignoring his texts all day and he felt like shit. He didn’t even send him his usual good morning text. Tommy couldn’t help but expect the worst.

What if Ranboo was ghosting him? What if this was his way of breaking up with him? He had been hanging out with Tubbo a lot lately. Maybe he had finally gotten sick of him and realized how much better Tubbo was than him.

I mean, Tubbo was so much better than him in so many different ways. He was quieter, he was funnier, he was calmer, he was prettier, he was funnier. Tubbo had so many things that Tommy didn’t. Who wouldn’t pick Tubbo over him?

Honestly, Tommy wouldn’t be too surprised if Ranboo did break up with him for Tubbo. He would do the same thing if he was Ranboo.

He just missed his boyfriend a lot. His heart wrenched and it felt like it was being crushed in the palm of someone’s hand. Ranboo didn’t love him anymore. What if he never loved him in the first place? He felt like someone had stabbed a knife through his heart. It hurt.

He was jealous of Tubbo. He was everything he wasn’t. Tubbo was pretty. He was kind. He was quiet. He was calm. He was empathetic. He was sweet. He was caring. He was so much better than him in every way.

------

“Are we there yet?” Ranboo asked impatiently from the back of Tubbo’s mom’s car.

Tubbo laughed. He turned around to look at Ranboo. “We’re almost there. Calm down. You’ll get to see your boyfriend soon enough.” Tubbo wiggled his eyebrows at the younger male before turning back to look ahead of him.

Tubbo’s mom smiled at Ranboo through the rearview mirror and sent him a wink. “We’re almost there, sweetie. Don’t worry,” She said as she pulled to a stop outside of a house. “See?”

Ranboo perked up and immediately unbuckled and got out of the car, grabbing his backpack on the way.

“Wow, eager much?” Tubbo teased with a laugh as he walked to the back of the car to grab Ranboo’s suitcase from the trunk. He handed the suitcase to Ranboo and walked up to the front door of the house, Ranboo in tow.

Ranboo stepped forward nervously and gently knocked on the door.

Tubbo rolled his eyes. “You have to knock louder than that, Big Man, if you actually want anyone to hear you.”

“Right. Yeah.” Ranboo knocked again, louder this time, but still shaky.

Shuffling could be heard from inside the house before someone ran to the door quickly to open it.

A sniffling Tommy stood before the two men. Tommy rubbed his eyes as he spoke, “Hello?”

A smile had spread across Ranboo’s face but it quickly faded once he realized Tommy had been crying. Ranboo rushed forward and trapped the smaller man in a hug. He buried his face in the boy’s hair as he whispered to him, “Tommy? What’s wrong, Baby?”

Tommy pulled away from the hug to look the man in the eyes. “Ranboo?” Tommy gasped.

Ranboo nodded and smiled. “Yeah, it’s me, Baby.”

Tommy pulled the boy back into a hug and buried his face in the boy’s neck.

Tubbo laughed and began walking back to his mom’s car. “Well, I guess that’s my cue to leave.”

Tommy frowned into Ranboo’s shoulder as he heard Tubbo’s voice. He wasn’t the first out of their friend group to meet his boyfriend in person.

“So, you gonna invite me in or what?” Ranboo asked with a smile.

Tommy’s face flushed. “Oh, y-yeah.” Tommy pulled away from the hug and grabbed Ranboo’s hand, leading him inside. “My parents aren’t home right now but they’ll be back later. Until then we can hangout in my room and maybe cuddle or something?”

Ranboo nodded. “I’d like that.”

Tommy smiled at him and lead him to his room. “Well this is my room. It looks like shit but it’s whatever.”

Ranboo laughed and sat down on Tommy’s bed, pulling the blonde into his lap as he flopped down. “Is this okay?”

“Yeah. It’s perfect.” Tommy moved around so he was facing Ranboo and sat there, just staring at his face.

“What? Do I have something on my face?” Ranboo asked, embarrassed.

“No. You’re just very pretty.”

Ranboo blushed. “You’re really pretty too,” he said with a smile.

Now it was Tommy’s turn to blush. “Shut up.” Tommy looked away out of embarrassment.

Ranboo giggled. “Oh, hey. Can I ask you something?”

“You just did.”

Ranboo rolled his eyes.

Tommy giggled. “Yeah, sure. What’s up?”

Ranboo hesitated. “Why were you crying before you opened the door?”

Tommy froze. “You noticed that?”

Ranboo nodded and looked at the blonde with worry in his eyes.

Tommy took a deep breath and shook his head. “It was nothing important. Don’t worry about it.”

Ranboo looked at him with a frown. “Are you sure? You can talk to me if you want to. I’ll always listen.”

Tommy sighed and scooched closer to Ranboo, burying his head in the older’s shoulder. “It’s embarrassing.”

Ranboo pulled the boy closer, enjoying the touch shared between them. “I doubt that and even if it is you know I’d never make fun of you.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah. I’m sure.”

“Okay. I guess I’m just jealous.”

Ranboo frowned. “Jealous of what?” He asked as he buried his face in the blonde’s hair.

“Tubbo. He’s so much better than me. All the fans think you two are dating. You two are always hanging out and streaming together so I don’t see why they’d think otherwise. When you weren’t responding to my texts today I got anxious and thought that you were finally breaking up with me for Tubbo. You didn’t even send your usual good morning text so I was really worried.”

Ranboo pushed him away gently to look him in the eyes. He cupped his face with his hands and gently wiped off the few tears rolling down Tommy’s face with his thumbs. “Oh, love. I’m so sorry, Tommy. The only reason Tubbo and I had been hanging out a lot recently was so we could plan my trip here to surprise you. The flight was eleven hours long and it didn’t even cross my mind that I wouldn’t be able to text you good morning. I’m so sorry baby. You are perfect. You are amazing. You’re so handsome, and kind, and smart, and funny. You care so much about all your friends. You’re so passionate and everything you do you do your best at. You are so incredibly amazing and you are what motivates me to keep going.”

Tommy’s shoulders shook as tears began pouring down his face faster than before. He buried his head in Ranboo’s neck and squeezed his eyes shut tightly, wishing the tears away.

Ranboo sighed and combed his hand through the brit’s hair. “You’re so important to me. I love you, Baby.”

Tommy sniffled and whispered quietly, “I love you too, Darling.”
