Chapter Text
jason barreled through the crowd of people in the club searching for the neon snake sign. it was friday night so the club was packed and these types of clubs attracted an unsavory bunch. what the hell was raven doing here? how could she be so careless?
“raven, raven!!” jason yelled, “where in the bloody hell is the damn snake sign??” he can feel the pit brimming closer to the surface in him as his fear for raven grows. what if something happens to her? no, i’ll find her. he keeps shoving through people until finally he sees it. he bolts to the sign spinning around searching for her.
she said she would be right here waiting for him. when she called him, she was completely out of it slurring words and incoherent. she must’ve taken something or multiple somethings. whatever it was, it would have to be strong to have any effect on her especially that much of an effect, but that’s the kind of products at clubs like these.
the sound of glass breaking caught his attention and suddenly he saw raven backed up against a wall by a guy with one arm on the wall blocking her from moving and the other hand on her hip. she was completely wasted but even then was trying to push the ass hat off of her.
jason growled and rushed over. “get the hell away from her!”
he grabbed the guy twisting his arm behind his back until he heard the satisfying snap of it breaking and slammed him against the wall.
“what did you give her? what did you drug her with?” jason demanded from the guy.
“what the hell are you talking about man? she came in here and got completely wasted. she did more shots than i’ve ever seen grown men hold down and then went on a taste test of every single drug in the club. i was only trying to check on her and make sure she made it home safely, you know?” he questioned smugly.
at that, jason lost it on him. people started screaming from the fight, and the jackass tried to get up and mutter some type of spell at jason. big mistake. before he got the words out, jason laid into him punching again and again while backing him into a corner.
the guys jaw was definitely broken at this point. not much a wizard can do to defend himself without being able to talk. jason slammed the guy hard against the wall knocking him out. he ran back to raven hearing sirens in the distance.
“time to go little bird” he said as he scooped her up and ran out the back door with her limp body in his arms.
he used his belt to transport them to his closest safe house. they appeared in his living room and he placed a semi conscious raven down on the couch. he went to grab a garbage bag, and no sooner than when he got back, raven bolted up grabbed the bag and threw up. jason held her hair back back until it passed and grabbed a wet rag to wipe her face off with but before he made it back, she was already throwing up again. he wiped her face with the rag and then grabbed his medical kit and bolted back to her. he pulled his eye light from the medical bag and tried to check raven’s eyes with it. she was sitting up on the end of the couch starring off into the distance.
“raven, raven look at me!” he grabbed her face holding it in his hands trying to get her to focus on him. “can you let me see your eyes?” she kept squirming and shoving his shoulders trying to push him away. “come on little bird. stay still for me! i just have to check you eyes.” he held her head still with his left hand as he tried to shine the light he was holding in his right hand into her eyes. she immediately recoiled from the light in her intoxicated state causing jason to pull her against him so she didn’t fall off the couch.
“you’re pupils are pinpoints raven!!” he snapped infuriated by her recklessness and terrified for her safety. “what the hell did you take??! wait a second, do you still have it on you?”
he pulled raven up from the couch shifting her body flush against him with his right hand to prevent her from falling. she could barely stand but still began fighting his hold when he started rummaging through her pockets searching for drugs. he could see the muscles in her body starting to contract and spasm from the drugs causing her to whimper in pain.
raven’s a righty so probably her right front pocket. jason reached into the pocket and felt a plastic baggie crinkle.
“bingo” he said as he pulled it out while still trying to hold raven up with his right hand.
jason immediately checked the bag for markings indicating what drug it was.
“what the hell? raven, this is just oxy.” he threw the baggie on his living room table and cradled her face with his left hand again trying to get her attention. “that wouldn’t have this effect over you raven. what else did you take?”
you know how when some people are drunk they’re the friendly fuzzy “hugs all around” type? yeah, not raven. wouldn’t that make my life so much easier right now though?
“go awys!” raven slurred. “i dent nead shelp!! i mad” she added as she started to use both arms to hit jason in an attempt to get him to release her.
“yeah, you’ve made that blatantly clear little bird, but that’s not really how this works” he replied pissed as he wrangled both her arms behind her back holding them in place with his right hand while finishing searching her with his left.
two baggies of heroin in her back right pocket, one of which was completely empty, one half finished bag of fentanyl in her front left pocket and nothing in her back left pocket.
he threw the baggies on the table with the other and contemplated the cocktail of drugs he located while holding a still squirming and very pissed off half demon with his right hand. “damn it, this still isn’t enough raven. you’re healing would have kicked in. none of this should have affected you!” she was too incoherent and agitated to be of any help, so he continued to check her body. he checked the waist band of her jeans. nothing. he ran his hand up her shirt and under her bra checking for anything stashed between her breasts and the wire of the bra band. she kept fighting him the entire time only making it all the more difficult.
“really raven??” he snapped as he felt the crinkle of a plastic baggie stashed in the left side of her bra. he snatched it and yanked his hand out of her shirt.
“fuck.. magic dust raven?? are you crazy?”
“i donk caresh jay! ger oof me.” she snapped.
“not gonna happen little bird. don’t worry we’ll be discussing this in depth 2 days from now when you finally sober up.”
he threw the baggie on the table with all the others, released her arms, and pulled her shirt off. before she had time to fight him, he quickly unhooked her bra and pulled it off her shoulders letting it drop to the floor forgotten to make sure she wasn’t stashing any other drugs. she started to fight him and he grabbed her face bringing her eyes up to his own. “look at me rae! it’s going to be okay. i promise you. you’re going to be okay. i know your freaked out and i know this hurts like hell. i wish i could tell you it’s going to get better but this is only the beginning.” she started to calm down at his words and held onto his arms for support while leaning her forehead against his. “but you’re the strongest person i know rae, and i know you can handle this. okay? do you hear me rae?” he asks absolutely terrified.
she nods and he feels her starting to collapse against him. she wraps her arms around his shoulders for support as he grabs her thighs lifting her up. her legs instinctively wrap around his waist and her head falls to his shoulder. he places an affectionate kiss on her neck and releases a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
“come on little bird. let’s get you out of these jeans and into the shower.”
