Work Text:

Megumi hums gently as he sways in his spot at the gym, his son in his arms. A little pink-haired head resting on his shoulder and tiny hands gripping tightly onto his arms. Yuuji had accidentally hit the new boy, Junpei, with a volleyball to the face and the other little boy had gone down hard. He cried loudly and his little angel was devastated, he'd come sniffling over to him immediately and the omega had been quick to gather up his child.

Yuuji was sensitive to feelings, and he hated hurting other people most. Megumi lovingly called the child his 'little alpha' when things like this happened and it made that tiny chest puff up in pride knowing that caring for others was a good thing and that his mommy loved that about Yuuji. His husband had absolutely been against how sensitive Yuuji was, but after the omega had calmly explained that it was the sign of a caring person and that of course their son is sensitive after seeing how deeply Sukuna cared for Megumi and Yuuji. He was just following the example of his father and that had made the alpha settle some, become more understanding when Yuuji cried over worms he stepped on, or when he wanted to help mommy volunteer with the sick animals. The boy was downright sweet, loving, and genuinely kind everything anyone could want in a child.

“You want to go home early, baby? Mommy can make you your favorite?” A tiny nod was all he got and the 22-year-old smiles, kissing pink hair and going about collecting his son's little backpack. The walk home was nice enough, it was a beautiful day, and with the sun shining Yuuji started perking up.

“Park, mommy?” The omega grins, adjusting his arms under his son's bottom slightly.

“We can go. It's nice enough.” The little four-year-old was addicted to physical activity and it had forced former bookworm Ryomen-Fushiguro Megumi to become an active person. They went on walks every day, bike rides if possible, and when Volleyball was over they'd be doing baseball and swim classes. It was a lot, but Yuuji needed activity. His teachers had already called him enough of a hellion as it was, and they didn't even know how much energy the child could have.

Sukuna had been way too proud the first time a teacher called and told them that Yuuji needed to be exorcised. When they went to pick their child up the alpha had high-fived his son and gave the finger to the poor woman. “He's two, what the hell is wrong with you?” The alpha had said and they'd promptly pulled their son from that daycare. Thankfully, they'd found a great pre-kindergarten with the nicest alpha teacher, who their son was absolutely in love with. Megumi always brought the tall, broad black haired teacher mochi when their son had rough days. Truthfully, the omega would be forever grateful for the clapping technique the teacher had taught Yuuji for when he realized he needed a calm down moment. It’d helped a lot recently with the boy learning self-regulation, which both Megumi and Sukuna were over the moon about.

With a fond smile, he continues walking to the park, keeping Yuuji close. It's a short walk and once the park comes into view the boy turns into a squirming mess that he releases upon the world once they are close enough. Ever Megumi's fearless little boy. The omega is grateful few people are around because his son is playing recklessly, as usual. “Baby, be careful.” He shouts as the boy runs up the slide and then rolls back down it.

“Okay, mommy!” Megumi shakes his head with a smile, sighing as only a reckless child's parent can. Another child has come along and the two play nicely together, a Nobara something. They've played together a few times before, but that girl likes to throw things which always made Megumi quirk a brow. Her babysitter, a pretty brown-haired girl, would always sigh and then scold the girl about being gentle and how ladies need to learn when it was okay to be tough and when to be kind. It was actually kind of cute.

Yuuji and Nobara are just starting to play some monsters game when his phone starts ringing. He pulls it from his back pocket and blinks in surprise, answering immediately. “Hey, I thought you were stuck working late today?”

“Hmm, I left. The asshole wants me to make some bogus buy-in deal with him. I told him we're a small business as is, I can't afford to buy into another smaller business.” Sukuna's frustration was apparent in how stressed his tone was. “Uraume is finishing it up. I got too pissed to stay.”

“Okay, well we're not home just yet. We went to the park.” He could hear a sigh and frowns. “But we'll leave in a few minutes.”

“No, no. I know today's your day off and you've had all those crazy finals. Yuuji needs to spend time with you. I'll drive by and get you both in fifteen, sound good? We can go to dinner.” His alpha's voice is still strained, but it was easing off.

“Okay, you want to get everything out now so you can enjoy Yuuji time too?” He goes to the bench near the swings, eyes still on their son. He's laughing happily as Nobara chases him around.

“Can I?” The man asks hopefully and Megumi grins.

“Always, baby.” He leans back and lets his husband go off, making all the right noises to make the alpha feel heard and listened to. Sukuna really can't show his frustration like this to his coworkers or even Uraume because he is trying desperately to prove Ryomen Saruhiko, Sukuna's father, wrong about needing his help to get his own business going.

The alpha had started Sugumi Design, formerly Sukuna Design, six years ago with help from Megumi's father. The two hadn't even met then and Sukuna was seven years older than the omega, but he had a dream and a desire to make custom residences in the Tokyo area. Interior design was where he started under Toji. His dad owned a construction firm that needed a junior(or cheap as shit) interior designer.

Sukuna was that guy, and then he'd proved he was a genius when it came to designing and architecture. The sketches his alpha made of the dream home he wanted to build for their family are amazing. Megumi hasn't told his mate yet, but Toji is planning on passing the construction firm to the alpha next March and the first project? The dream house, completely paid for by Toji already.

He'd cried in his dad's arms when he told him, but he wants to wait until this deal is over before telling his mate. Sukuna will either be deeply touched or infuriated, or both, but the Fushiguro's had decided he'd probably be touched. Toji had been more of a father to Sukuna than the alpha's own had ever been and aside from the three months of being pissed at the two of them for one, sneaking around and seeing each other, and two, Megumi getting accidentally pregnant, it had been good. Having a baby hasn't held them back at all and Toji is obsessed with Yuuji, so it's all worked out.

The omega is in college and working on his Veterinary degree, which his mate refuses to let his father pay for. Megumi is his omega, Sukuna had said, and so his mate is paying for his school, Yuuji's daycare, and then the business. As talented as his husband is the market just isn't looking for the designs he makes and the deal today had been with a smaller commercial firm, Mahito LLC, to expand Sugumi's market.

The issue is Mahito thinks he's amazing because he's won some Architect of the year award in Russia years ago. His mate won seven awards just last quarter so if anything Mahito needs Sukuna, not the other way around. Yuuji interrupts his thoughts, and admittedly half-listening to his mate, by rushing up to him with Nobara and her babysitter in tow. “Mommy!”

“That Yuuji?” He hums in reply to his husband. “'Kay, I'll see you in a few anyways. Thanks for listening, babe.”

“Course, see you soon, Love you.” He says and gets a quick 'love you' back before the line goes silent. He puts his phone down and looks the two over expectantly.

“Can we axe chain information?” His son asks and Megumi looks up at the babysitter, who has covered her mouth to hide a giggle. The omega looks back down and smiles gently at his son, stroking a chubby cheek.

“You mean exchange, baby?” The boy nods excitedly and the omega swears that he doesn't know where his son gets his brains from because it just...well it wasn't there half the time. It's endearing, truly, but Yuuji is a uh...special crayon in the coloring box. Megumi can count how many times this week alone he's questioned if his son has a brain. Sukuna told him that he was just creative, but he is pretty sure the alpha was covering for their child. He's also pretty sure his husband was also a little 'creative' growing up.

To be fair, Yuuji's step-grandpa is also part of the issue. Gojo-Fushiguro Satoru is the worst influence in the world on his baby and everyone knows it, and yet he is the little boy's favorite person. Yuuji even asked Megumi multiple times if they could have Gojo live with them, which is a firm no because his dad and Gojo are loud. Way too loud. Sukuna is loud too, so no. He needs quiet.

“That sounds good. You like Nobara a ton, right?” He smiles brighter as the boy nods and then links hands with the other little alpha.

“We're going to fight monsters at her house! Nobara said her mommy is really good at fighting dust monsters.” Megumi raises a brow at the babysitter.

“Saori.” The girl says pointing at herself, they'd never actually introduced themselves times the kids had been here. “Nobara's mom has severe OCD. If it's okay it's probably best to bring Nobara to you. She'll spend an hour just giving your son a bath before they can play.” It's all said lightheartedly and the brown-haired child nods too like they've had to explain this a thousand times.

“That's not an issue. I'm a college student so I have weekends off. She's always welcome after we're done at volleyball.” They exchange information and the girl says she'll contact him later before heading off with Nobara, saying they have to clean up before mommy comes home. Megumi and Yuuji both say goodbye and wait for Sukuna. The familiar roar of the Porsche, the only expensive thing his husband has bought, is heard coming down the street moments later. The two of them grin in excitement and wait on the sidewalk for the patriarch of their little family. Yuuji rocking on his feet and chanting 'daddy, daddy, daddy' over and over. The alpha swings the car into the parking lot and Megumi rolls his eyes at how extra the action is.

They walk over, but his handsome mate still gets out of the car and jogs to them the little distance. Their son is so excited that he breaks away from his mother, shrieking 'daddy' for the world to hear, and charges ahead, easily met by his father who scoops him up and kisses his fat cheeks. “How's my boy, hmm? You spike any balls at practice?”

And Yuuji's off. He's talking a mile a minute about his day, hitting Junpei, playing with Nobara, axe chaining information, and how he was getting so much better at remembering his please and thank yous. Sukuna nods very seriously throughout the debriefing, even as he comes to Megumi wrapping an arm around him and bringing him in snugly.

“That seems like a pretty big day, little tiger. Why don't we go get dinner and then we can finish the day out with a movie out in the garden?” Ah, a projector night. He loves those. Sukuna will construct them a little camp in the backyard and set a movie up against the back of the house. It always keeps Yuuji entertained because he can run around the flower beds as he pleases and the dogs usually play with him.

“Daddy always has the best ideas!” Yuuji exclaims and hugs the alpha tighter. Megumi smiles and kisses his husband's cheek.

“Sounds nice. We could always get take out and set everything up so we can eat in the backyard too?” He offers and red eyes look warmly at him.

“Ah, mommy's are always smarter ideas though.” His alpha remarks and he blushes, squeezing a firm hip gently. “Let's get some Chinese then and oh, stop at the convenience store and get sour gummies for mommy, spicy chips for daddy, and some popcorn for Yuuji then, hmm?”

“Popcorn! Popcorn! Popcorn!” The child chants and the two adults both laugh.

“Come on, babies, we have a good night ahead of us!” The alpha declares and Megumi grins, every night was a good night when they got to be together. He knew this would be no exception.

They split up to better divide and conquer. The Chinese place they love is only a block away from the convenience store so Megumi heads there while Sukuna takes Yuuji shopping because 'Mommy will only get the three things and not look around'. Megumi rolled his green eyes, turned on his heel, and went to get their order which he'd ordered on his phone on the way. It was maybe fifteen minutes before they all met back up at the car. Three large shopping bags being pathetically hidden in the trunk when he arrives. “Every time.” He huffs, and his husband has the gall to rub the back of his own neck and smile sheepishly, Yuuji watches this and copies his father's action. The omega is going to die from how cute his child and mate could be together.

It was funny actually, when Megumi thought about it because anyone else who knew Sukuna outside their little family thought he was terrifying. Sukuna is scary intense and expects perfection and respect, commands it really, but he's a good boss too. His employees respect him because he works harder than anyone else there. Also, Sukuna had been taught garbage values by his chauvinistic alpha father which really hurt his mate. Soft alphas didn't get places, Sukuna'd been taught and the omega was still working on getting the alpha to unlearn that lesson every day. Toji helped too. Soft alphas got kisses at work and bento box lunches hand-delivered. Soft alphas had sons that knew that their mother was their father's world. Soft alphas were happy.

The first time they'd met was when the alpha has been on his father's team for a few months. Megumi could tell how shocked Sukuna was when Toji had dropped everything to gather the omega into a fierce hug and kissed his cheek lovingly before introducing him as Toji's 'pride and joy'. The pink-haired twenty-four-year-old had been shocked stiff and had barely bowed. “What, never seen an omega before?” Megumi had said, rolling his eyes thinking it was some weird alpha thing, but Sukuna had surprised them both by being candid.

“I've never seen an alpha be like that with their child. Where I'm from affection isn't given or earned. I was born to take over my father's company and nothing more. It's just...It's nice to see that the world is the better place I knew it was.” Megumi had stared at the way Sukuna had looked soft while he spoke like his hopes were realities. He'd fallen in love right there, was shocked Toji hadn't seen him become struck by Cupid and had later slipped the alpha his number with a note reading 'I'd like to show you how much better it can be’ written on the top.

They started dating almost immediately, hiding it from Toji for almost a full year until Megumi realized he's missed his heat, and whoops Sukuna had forgotten a condom that one time, hadn't he? Yuuji came 6 months later and here they were. Toji couldn't even say shit because Megumi had been a teenage pregnancy too, the man being only 41 now. Toji's biggest complaint is that he is too young to be a grandpa. Sukuna on the other hand, at 25, was thrilled to get to be called daddy. The moment Yuuji was born the alpha had seemed to vibrate with excitement and happiness. The omega thinks he's done a pretty good job of showing his alpha the better side of things so far. He knows Yuuji definitely has.

The drive home is full of Yuuji talking about how excited he is and can Nobara come over next time, then strangely talk of stuffed animals that can punch, and finally, as they pull in the cutest shriek of excitement fills their ears when the little alpha sees Gojo's car is in the driveway.

“You call them?” Sukuna asks, eyebrow raised. No, he hadn't and Megumi hates when Gojo impromptu visits, but it's the sports car which means his dad is with the omega. Sighing, he shakes his head and gets out of the Porsche, helping Yuuji out and getting the food. It's a quick walk up their drive to the door, but before Sukuna can even put the key in it's being thrown open by the white-haired fiend himself.

“Gumi-chan! Suku! Yuuji, my baby, welcome home!” The man says excitedly, like a housewife who has waited all day, not a multi-million dollar model that also owns the modeling agency. Sometimes, he really feels for Geto, Gojo's long-time best friend and assistant. Megumi has no idea how the beta hasn't quit with how annoying Satoru can be, also his dad! His dad married the dude! How? Why? Ugh.

Sukuna gets them through the door and into the kitchen. Toji's sitting at the breakfast bar, some papers in hand, glasses on, and beer nearby. “Hey, dad.” He greets and then green eyes are on him and a smile breaks over his father's face.

“Bunny! How are you? I heard finals were rough?” The large alpha gets up and hugs him tight. The dogs come to sniff at him gently while Toji bear hugs him, the omega squished into his father's chest for a full minute before being given an inch of space and air to speak.

“They were okay, I think I did fine. Yuuji's got a lot to say today so be ready.” He whispers and his dad chuckles, squeezing him tight again for a moment. He releases him and then the two alphas are sharing a quick hug.

“Son, how you holding up? That deal went south, huh?” The older alpha crosses his arms and annoyance flashes on his face, scarred lip turning to a frown. “That little shit doesn't know he's missing out on the biggest opportunity of his life to get to work with you.”

“He was an ass. I had to walk out because he was so full of himself. Uraume told you?” Sukuna's frustration is evident on his face and Toji nods.

“He wanted to borrow my finance guy if the deal went forward and he called to say it didn't. The guy was fishy, but you knew that. I'm still proud of you for trying to make it work.” His dad claps Sukuna on the shoulder and he can see his alpha visibly relax. If Toji approves then that always makes his mate feel better about his decisions, it's an affirmation for him that he'd made the right choice.

“Now, I need to speak to my grandson. Where, oh where, could my Yu-yu be?” Toji puts his hand over his brow and squints, looking around but never down at the boy waving his arms about until finally, Yuuji grabs his Papa's pant leg with fake teary eyes.

“I'm here! I'm here! Hugs, papa, hugs!” Not one to deny his grandson anything his father is quick to hug the child and then press loud smacking kisses to his face. It's always cute to see because his son will giggle and hold onto Toji's cheeks gently.

“Ah, my little Tiger! Has Mommy Bunny been feeding you enough? You know he eats so little, and you're a growing boy.” His father sighs dramatically, laughing when his grandson copies him.

“Mommy feeds me all my favorites. Daddy Tiger and baby Tiger have been making sure mommy eats too! He's been very into pizza and gummies lately.” A black brow rises and then green eyes narrow on him, looking pointedly at his stomach and then back up.

“Don't you dare say it.” His father says, and then Gojo looks confused before his blue eyes widen.

“No! It was our turn to shock them!” The omega whines, gluing himself to Toji.

“Wait...what?” He says and looks to the other omega who was grinning like a hellion.

“Yup, this crazy owl and your bear of a father, are going to be providing our beautiful Megumi-chan with a sibling! If they're not as pretty as you I am going to be upset, but they'll have to do.” He's going to faint. Megumi's going to faint, no way. Oh Gods. Strong arms wrap tightly around him and Sukuna's hand rubs his stomach idly.

“That's great news. We're happy for you and we're not expecting, just preheat.” Megumi nods, still stunned but looking up at his dad.

“Congratulations. It'll be nice to have someone to grow with Yuuji.” He says with a small smile, and Toji smiles back while nuzzling the child, who is looking wide-eyed at Gojo.

“You have a baby in you?” The little boy asks and the other omega grins, nodding.

“Yup, you won't believe how much hard work it was either. Your papa almost broke my-” Toji's hand slaps over Gojo's mouth, who still mumbles behind it, eyes sparkling with mirth.

“No fair! I want mommy to have a baby in his belly too. I told daddy and he promised.” The little boy pouts and Megumi blinks up at his husband who pointedly looks at the ceiling lights.

“Huh, look at that. I think we need to replace the light bulbs.” His alpha says, comically squinting his eyes and not looking down at his annoyed mate making the omega huff.

“We're talking about that later.” He says, poking his mate in the cheek. He looks back to his dad and smiles. “I'm excited for you.”

“Yeah, me too, and this time I actually know what I'm doing and I'm not alone. It'll be nice.” The alpha says and he smells elated, truly happy. Megumi rests back against his mate and smiles at his fathers and son. As much as Gojo annoys the hell out of him he still loves the other omega and this is a happy moment.

“We were going to watch a movie in the backyard, did you want to join us?” Sukuna asks and Gojo nods happily, placing kisses on Yuuji's chubby cheeks.

“Now Yu-yu, tell Papa and Grand Owl about your day?” The omega says, and his mate takes the opportunity to go outside, grabbing the items from their shed and airing them out.

“You okay, baby?” The words are soft and concerned. Megumi looks to his mate and nods slightly, grateful that they're alone.

“It's a good thing. I'm happy, really. Just Gojo as a mom? Terrifying. That kid will be insane.” His husband can only nod in agreement and Megumi chuckles. It'll be so strange not being his dad's world. He had gotten used to Satoru when he was still a kid and the two adults had waited until he was thirteen before mating, but another kid? The omega didn't think it was bad, but he suspected there would be a learning curve when it came to being a brother. “I...I might need help adjusting sometimes to my dad not being just mine. If I'm a brat you'll need to tell me.”

“Oh, Daddy loves handling you when you get bratty so don't worry about that.” The alpha wiggles his eyebrows and the omega just rolls his eyes. He knows that with Sukuna, Yuuji, his dad, and even Gojo he really doesn't have anything he needs to worry about. His family is amazing and he will never stop being grateful for the blessings they all are in his life.

Well, he may have to worry about his husband and child apparently planning another baby behind his back, but he'll get there when he gets there. It could be nice even. They did such a good job the first time around, what could go wrong?

Notes:

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed this little ficlet of mine. I may do little vignettes of their lives, but I'm currently bogged down with three separate WIPs. I do love soft Sukufushi though so I hope to write more of this verse when I can!
