Work Text:
Nedzu had been rather surprised to get an email from the Midoriya’s, to say the least.
It was a chipper morning in his cozy office on the top floor of his school. The sky was speckled with the whisps of fading clouds from the small rainfall they had gotten that morning. His office was just the right warmth for the slightly damp day as he pressed his mug of tea in his white paws. Currently, he was reading the email from none other than the patriarch of the family of 3.
Hisashi Midoriya.
He had done his research on the man, just like he did with everyone he came across. (For the safety of himself, his students, and his staff.) He found out he was a rather normal man. He had a weak fire-breathing quirk and worked with quirk counseling over in America for a few years now. Apparently was rather good at it too according to the stunning reviews he had gotten over the years. He took a sip of his black tea. (It was a good morning, yes, but not a restful night. Nightmares were always going to bug him ever so often.) He continued to read the rather surprising and muddled email (mostly from the rambling that was in there.) That’s where young Midoriya-Kun got it from. How charming. A smile twitched on his muzzle.
Dearest Principal Nedzu,
( How charming of him. Nedzu thought fondly. Humans were such interesting things.)
I do deeply apologize for such short notice of this request. You see, I just had gotten home from America after I had found out, [ In a rather surprising way mind you.] that my very own son’s childhood friend [Not sure if I could even call him that.] had gotten taken by the League of Villans rather easily, I came rushing home on short notice for everyone. You see, I had a long talk with my wife and found out some rather concerning things about how my son was doing at school let alone otherwise. [Attaked by a killer in broad daylight in the middle of a crowded mall! Even choked! My poor baby…]
( Seems like single child parents love to dote on their children quite a lot. Most of them. Nedzu had a small flashback of when Aizawa had discribed his talk with the Bakugous. Though, they were doting in their own way he could guess.) Nedzu went back to reading.
Then the talk with my son was even worse! I think I nearly fainted on our phone call from what he went through. He was even downplaying it so badly his mother could even tell. [No offense to my wife but she would never want to see that Izuku was lying to us. Bless her overly-love-filled heart.] I am dearly worried about my son so, what I am asking of you is if I could kindly have a chat with you and your staff about what has been going on with my son here at Yunni! Izuku loves to hide things from us to make us worry less but it doesn’t work with me. I know my son well. Anywho, I would love this meeting with you and your lovely staff sometime later today if you could squeeze me in somewhere. I am afraid that any later and we would not be having this meeting on everyone’s terms.
(Nedzu heard the subtle threat and took it into account.)
I do hope this doesn’t get lost in the mass of emails you surely get with the new dorm situation [Which I would love to have a chat about as well.] as well as all the other normal day-to-day ones being you as well! I hope we will be seeing each other very soon.
(Threat there too. Huh.)
With care,
Midoriya Hisashi.
Today was going to be interesting. Thought Nedzu with a feral grin as he quickly typed up a group email to make his staff aware they had a meeting today at noon. An animalistic chuckle left him as he hit send. He could practically hear the groans from his subordinates all around his school and Hight Alliance.
(He was correct, none of them were ready for this mystery surprise meeting that Nedzu had suddenly sprung upon them. Again. He loved doing that. Damned Rat Overlord.)

Yagi sighed as he tightened his navy tie around his white collared shirt and smoothed it to his chest. He smiled softly as the neatness of the tie reminded him of his young protege’s inability to tie one correctly. He wanted to help the boy but didn’t know if that would overstep their unspoken boundaries. (Later he would learn, no, it would not. In fact, it would be a lovely story for another time.) He glanced down at his wrist-watch to check the time. 11:15 AM. Perfect.
He hummed, pleased with this as he slipped on his yellow and cream pin-striped suit jacket. He clipped the cuff-links but it was still baggy on him. It was formed for when he could still buff up. He had lost that ability because of the fight with All for One a few weeks ago. (He couldn’t bring himself to regret it though. He bought Young Midoriya more time to train with One for All before his battle with the fiend. He would do it 100 times over if that meant the kids and Midoriya were safer once more. He cared a lot for the green-haired boy along with the rest of his crazy students. (There is no denying it. They are all a little crazy but he doesn’t love them any less.))
He looked at himself in the mirror with a small frown. His gaunt face had only sunken in more from the fight. His suit was not helping him there. It was sitting quite loosely on his skinny frame making his rod-like arms look thinner and his frail torso look even worse. He sighed as his pants did the same thing that his suit did to his arms. Make them look even smaller than they were. He still stood at an imposing 7 feet tall but he looked much weaker now. Sadder even. He just had to make up for it in bravo so no one would worry. (Gosh, Young Midoriya was rubbing off on him and not in the best ways. That in itself is worrying. He needed to address that with the child. That would put him in so much danger and maybe even repeat the same disaster that Toshinori has to face to this day with his injuries.)
He checked his wrist-watch again and picked up his phone. He put it on silent and made his way to the staff meeting room. (Sure he didn’t get many messages on it since it only had his personal contacts and personal email on it. Not many had either but Midoriya-Shonen did so he had cause to worry. Also, the memes the boy sent him were rather funny and cute so there was that.) He slipped his phone into his pocket after checking the latest meme from his student a few feet away from the staff room door. He quietly slipped in going unnoticed by his coworkers as he found his seat. (It was surprising that they didn’t spot him quickly. Like he said, even in his smaller form he was no small man. He towered over everyone he met with ease.)
Nedzu smiled at him from the head of the table. It was his ‘I’m up to something and none of you have any idea what it is!’ smile. (It was more like a snarl with how feral it was.) He shivered and weakly smiled back at the Chimera whilst he gently clasping his hands on the table to mimic the principal. With that, they waited. Everyone else chattered to pass the time as he and Nezdu stared at each other for the last few minutes till the meeting started. Well besides Aizawa-San, he rested his head on the table to catch a quick nap before the meeting. Last night had been rough on all of them. Most of the first years had trouble ever since the move into the dorms happened not too long ago. Some were even pledged with nightmares that had to have someone calm them down from it was so bad.
Nedzu finally spoke after what felt like hours of staring.
“Mic, please wake up your husband, Hizashi,” Nedzu asked and Mic complied waking up his tired lover from his short nap.
“Now with that cleared up, let’s talk about why we are all here!” Said the principal joyously as he clapped his paws together to fully catch their attention. “The meaning of our meeting is rather simple today. We are talking to a very considered parent of one of our first years in the hero course. I’ll just let him introduce himself though!” Chirped the white Chimera from his raised seat at the head of the table.
“ You may come in now Midoriya-San!” He called to the door and it swung open smoothly as always. Everything else came to a screeching halt for Yagi though.
A tall man no shorter than 6’6 strolled into the meeting room like he owned the place his head held high and proud. His broad frame rivaled his own in his prime with little effort. Muscle hid poorly under his thick white suit. (Power move. Yagi noted.) Gloved hands fixed a sharp red tie with black printing that sat proudly upon a black undershirt. It matched perfectly with the man’s sharp and all-seeing red eyes that glinted under loosely curly white hair. Freckles dotted across the bridge of the man’s nose to hug his cheeks in the same diamond pattern Young Midoriya’s did.
The retired pro shot up and got ready to fight. He could still pack a punch even as weak as he was. Their eyes locked and the merry light he had seen before dipped into dark resentment in ruby orbs. A shiver threatened to lick up his spine at the look. It was much worse than the look he had gotten when he fought him not even a month ago.
“What are you doing here you Villian!?” Grollwed the blond. Every word he spoke burned with so much anger it almost hurt. “Why in the ever-loving hell are you trying to say you’re young Midoriya’s father you heathen!?” All this did was earn him a groan.
The tall man flicked his wrist and yagi slammed back down into his chair rather harshly. His wrist seemed to lock themselves to the arms of the chair and his legs following suit with clinging to the legs of his chair as well. He let out a loud growl and glared daggers at the white-haired man before him.
“Now now All might, or should I say Yagi-Kun, that isn’t rather becoming of a hero retired or not, is it not? Growling like a beast at me before I get to even talk. You all are always like this. All 8 of you. Maybe I should just muzzle you if you insist on acting like such a rabid animal.” The villain chided a teasing smirk twitching at his lips.
“Talk. Now. Why the hell are you here?” Clipped Yagi angerly. His body shook even while restrained to the chair. He kept glaring at the red-eyed monster before him.
“Ahh, to the point now Yagi? At least let me sit down and get to know the people I’m talking to!” Teased the 200-year-old overlord as if he was friends with him. (For the record, they were not.)
Finally, Nedzu spoke up. “You two seem to know each other rather well, no?” Quipped Nedzu his eyes glinting dangerously. (The didn’t get along went unsaid but it was there none of th less.)
“Ahh, yes we do! We have known each other for a very, very long time principal!” Chirped the tall man happily.
“Well, do sit Midoriya-San so we can start this meeting!” Said the chimera clasping his paws together once again as All For one sat down without a care in the world.
“Would you like to let everyone know who just we are dealing with All for One?” Questioned Nedzu with a strained smile.
“ Oh of course Principal! And please, Just call me Hisashi! No need for such formalities as titles! Well, let’s just say I am very well known and yet no one can truly ever place me!” This man, Hisashi riddled with a bright (and sadistic) grin bright on his face. That ticked Toshinori off.
“He’s the 200-year-old powerhouse quirk stealing, nomu making, murdering, and much more, villian I thought I took down during the rescue of Young Bakugou.” Filled in the retired pro. If looks could kill All for One would have been not even dust where he sat. It took only a second for the recognization to hit before fear flooded the meeting room in the form of a tsunami of emotion.
The Villan just chuckled from his seat. “Awe, All Might, you took away all the fun again!” Playfully whined the supervillain from his chair. This asshole talking was what really was going to be doing him in for the long run.
“Oh well, I guess I should just skip to the point.” Sighed the curly-haired man in false defeat. “I am here just for what I said in the email. I need to talk about how my son is getting treated here at this school. You all are much better than his Junior HIgh, yes. But that doesn’t take much. You see, My little Izuku was quirkless till the day of the entrance exam for Yunni.” He paused letting everyone take in that bombshell of information.
He watched Aizawa-San’s face morph from disbelief to confusion to realization to horror in a matter of seconds. He yanked out a notepad and started writing. “Dammit, I should have damn known, Midoriya may be a problem child but he is no idiot. He would have had his quirk under control by now if he had it as long as I thought he did. I need to completely change up my lesson plans for him. That kid needs quirk counseling now.” Eraser rambled worry lacing his voice ever so slightly under the burning self-hate that Toshinori could practically feel oozing off the black-haired man.
“You want to know what they did to him for it?” Asked All for One his grin falling into a snarl. Everyone waited in bated breath, the only noise was pen on paper from Aizawa-San. It was like they were all waiting for him to say, ‘Oh he was perfectly fine! Just a little mean comments that I cleared up real quick!’ What he said next was horrifying, to say the least.
“ My Izuku was beaten bloody, black, and blue every day since he was told he was quirkless. It only got worse as he got older. He would find Spider Lilies on his desk in Junior High by his classmates too scared to tell him to go die in his face. But that stopped after one point. You want to know that point?” He asked grimly his hands clasped together so tightly Yagi knew that they would bruise a normal person easily. Everyone waited for him to talk.
“My son was attacked by the very sludge monster that attacked Katsuki-Kun later the day of. It nearly killed my child so he could use his body as a, and I quote, A Meat Suit. He did that to try to hide from All Might. Don’t worry I killed him when I found him. I made sure it was bloody.” A deranged smile formed on his face at the last comment before he continued.
“Then he tried his damnedest to Save Katsuki-Kun from the vary same Villian not even an hour later when All Might failed to contain it correctly. Who puts a villain in a bottle in your pants pocket!?” Exclaimed Midoriya-San clearly exasperated.
“ Then he got yelled at by the heroes for being the only person step the hell in and he just took it because that’s how his cursed school trained him to and-” His voice was steadily rising to a shout before he cut himself off and took a steadying breath. Midoriya-San’s body shook with surprising rage as he forced himself to calm. Yagi had never seen the man truly angry and he decided that he never wanted to again.
“And the rotten cherry on top of that shit sundae that day was for my son was not even a few hours earlier he was told by his very one childhood friend to take a swan-dive off the roof and pray for a quirk in his next life. Thank the gods for his sheer stubborn will to deny everyone who didn’t believe in him that he got from his uncle or I would have lost someone very important to me when All Might left him on that rooftop after telling him he couldn’t be a hero. Telling him to be realistic.” His head snapped to Yagi rage burning in his eyes.
“If my son was any less amazing than he already is he would have jumped off that roof where you abandoned him and killed himself. Or if you were lucky, the next day on his school’s rooftop where everyone could see him splat onto the ground. You’re so damn lucky my son likes you so much you bastard and for the fact, you’re fixing it as we speak.” He took a shaky breath. “Any questions?”
“Yes, a few, in fact, I’m assuming that Bakugou is the childhood friend in question but I wish to clarify. Next, how did you weasel this out of him? He never talks about any of his issues no matter how big or small. Along with this, how many pitched in with the bullying?
“ Did the teachers try to stop it? Did Midoriya try to report it at first? If so, what happened? How bad did it get? Were there quirks used? What types? Was Midoriya the only quirkless there? Are there any triggers I should know about so I can help him avoid them in the classroom?
“ Finally, will you allow him to see Hound Dog at least once a week to help him mentally recover and to your consent to a full historical medical scan by Recovery Girl and a trusted doctor?”
The villain blinked then grinned. “ Oh, I like you. You actually care. Alright, I will answer them in order. Yes, he is. How I did was for me to know. Also, I am aware of that so it was rather difficult I will say. Lots of kids did in some form or another. His teachers never stopped it and they outright encouraged it and even helped with the targeting and belittling.
“ I will answer the next two together. He did try to report it but he was called things such as Lier, attention seeker, snitch, and a crybaby. I will answer the next 3 together. It got so bad quirks were used daily in a twisted form of quirk training and mostly Katsuki’s explosion Tubaus’s wings, and some other kids like one of them used his fingers to scratch at him. Plus a lot of other things.
“ There was another quirkless kid, I think they were a girl, they were sweet to Izuku but they pushed ahead and got the hell out of there. Smart kid.
“Things like loud noises and explosions do scare him, so does sudden touch. He’s a tough kid but he didn’t get out unscathed sadly. Finally, yes I would love Izuku to see him but there is no chance he will willingly talk at first, he’s too scared of being a bother. A full historical medical history? How fascinating. Is it a quirk? Most likely.
“ No matter. I will allow it if I am there the whole time.” The man leaned back in his chair seemingly tired as he let everyone process what he was saying. This chunk took a while. Yagi was even having a hard time and his mind went faster than most. He trained it to be like that after all.
Then it hit him. He had put Midoriya and Bakugou, Bakugou , to fight one another at the begining of the year (When it was the most dangerous!) and didn’t even stop it when he used his gauntlet on another student with murderous intent. His face paled even more somehow and held his head down. He had messed up as well. He didn’t see the clear signs, the bruises he said were some self-training or just him being clumsy were from bullies… Horror filled him as more and more information clicked into place. Many questions he had were answered so quickly. He wished this wasn’t true but it made the most sense sadly.
He somberly lifted his head and saw his colleges all with faces ranging from anger to horror to disgust. But one trait they all shared was a harsh disappointment. They never noticed the signs. What could have happened if they were never told this most likely would haunt their nightmares for years to come. That happy-go-lucky kid they all loved in one way or another was hurting alone for so long. It was a harsh truth that smacked every hero at that table.
They had failed as teachers.

Yadama gently rubbed comforting circles into his stressed Husband’s back. It’s not every day you find out one of your students (kids at this rate) was bullied so harshly he could of… killed himself at any time but chose not to out of pure spite. It took guts he wasn’t going to lie.
Now, you might be thinking he isn’t affected by what the listener had to go through but he was. He was trying everything in his power not to cry actually. He wanted to be strong for his Sho but it was hard when that story was a rip-your-heart-out kinda thing. It made sense too. Everything seemed to click into place for Yadama. Yadama was a little like Nedzu in a way, getting to know the people he comes across. (Useful for fighting and helping calm victims.) He just does that by watching his students closely. That’s how he found out Kaminari’s dyscalculia and minor dyslexia by watching and matching behaviors.
Midoriya’s behavior fit perfectly into the victim of a bully at first in the year. He was closed off, scared of everyone even though he hid it well, flinched at a lot of things, was scared to make friends, and a 100 other things the voice hero had noticed about his curly-green-haired student. At first, they were just red flags but now they were blaring alarms screeching at him for being so dismissive and hopeful. He felt like crap. He wasn’t going to lie. It hurt a lot seeing things you saw hints for being proven so brutally. It left a sour taste lingering in his mouth after every swallow. He looked up and saw the man, All fo One, as Nedzu called him, watch them all with rapt interest. It would have been more disturbing if he wasn’t holding back his very own tears in those glowing red eyes. His heart swelled a little for the guy. He clearly loved his son very much and wanted what was best for them. Something he could relate to having a kid of his own with Shota.
He set his brain to make sure that Midoriya wouldn’t have to keep feeling that pain for any longer.
(That statement followed with every Hero in the room including Nedzu himself. Just in his own sadistic Nedzu way. Andrea was going to burn if Hisashi hadn’t done it already.)

The rest of the meeting was Hisashi sorting out what he thought needed to be fixed. Ranging from what was taught (He got fight analysis added, mostly just for Izuku to show off but it’s also just a good thing for your mental tool belt.) to security. Not too much complaint with that one though. They were pretty top-notch, just not prepared for disintegration quirks at first.
He left the school with a smile. He planned to visit Izuku with his mother on parent’s day that would happen soon so he could scout out any problems or benefits. It would be nice to see him in person after so long as well. Get to see how he was progressing with his training and how he was handling his uncle’s quirk. He chuckled softly fixing his red and black tie once more.
He paused and smirked. Right, unfinished work. He hated unfinished work. He lifted his hand getting ready to snap with a smirk on his face. It turned into a feral grin as he spoke. “Goodbye, Andrea Junior High. You didn’t serve us well.” He crooned quietly and snapped his fingers. He watched happily as blocks away a building went up in flames.
Another task done. So easily too. Some people were so weak-minded. Giving into any sob story. Though, with Izuku’s past, it was hard not to.
More tasks to get to. He reminded himself.
Life was full of tasks. Some were more important than others though
