"Happy birthday!" Everyone yelled once kirishima who was tasked with bringing bakugo into the common area appeared
"What's this about?" Bakugo asked looking less than pleased
"Your birthday party, we can't hold it tomorrow since most us are going back home for the weekend" Kaminari said
"Yeah so let's get this party started!!" Mina yelled putting a song on
"Ugh" bakugo looking more pissed
"Come on bro, try to enjoy it everyone worked so hard for this" kirishima said
"I never asked them to do anything" bakugo said knitting his eyebrows in annoyance
"Yeah but everyone wanted to do this for you since it's your special birthday" Kirishima said
Bakugo didn't look one bit convinced "please, do it for me" kirishima said looking bakugo straight in the eyes
Bakugo felt his heart beating really quickly, he turned away to hide his blushing face "fine, I'll tolerate it this one time"
"Thanks man" kirishima said pulling Bakugo into a hug, Bakugo's red face turned even more red from this action, he hesitantly hugged Kirishima back which surprised the red hair
"Wow is bakugo becoming soft hearted?" Kirishima asked grinning
"Shut up shitty hair" Bakugo said pushing kirishima off him and looked away to try and calm his very active heart beating for kirishima. Bakugo realized his crush on the red hair about two weeks ago since then he became hyperaware of kirishima's presence which didn't help him at all
"Hey Kacchan can we talk outside for a second?" Midoriya asked walking over to the birthday boy
"Why?" Bakugo asked while looking at Midoriya clearly annoyed
"Bakubro be nice" kirishima said
Bakugo bit his tongue "fine" he mumbled "let's go you damn nerd" he said walking ahead of Midoriya going outside
"So what did you want nerd?" Bakugo asked sharply turning to face Midoriya
"I wanted to wish you a happy birthday" Midoriya said
"That's all?" Bakugo asked feeling anger boiling up inside him
"Um... well...a-also I-I...wanted to let you know that I like you" Midoriya said while shutting his eyes, he opened them slowly when bakugo didn't say anything for a bit
Looked at bakugo to see a look of pure disgust
"What did you say?" Bakugo asked
"I said I like you" Midoriya mumbled, all the confidence he's been building up for the last couple of weeks disappeared just like that. His hopes for getting a better response crushed down to zero when he saw the look of disgust Bakugo threw his way
"Don't ever say that again to me you damn nerd, you better stop liking me. I don't want a nobody like you thinking you have a chance with me. It'll never happen, not even in a million years" bakugo coldly said before walking past Midoriya who froze on the spot to react, tears automatically started following down his face
"Midoriya" a soft but calm voice called out
Midoriya turned around to see Todoroki standing there looking sad
"Did you hear all of that?" Midoriya asked after mastering all his courage not to stutter or break down which paid off momentarily
"Um...yeah" todoroki said "I followed the two of you guys out here, sorry I shouldn't have, this was supposed to be a personal conversation"
"I-it's okaaaaayywhaaa" Midoriya said only to start crying really hard
"Midoriya" todoroki mumbled walking over to the teen and pulled him in a hug and started patting his back in hopes of comforting him
Midoriya cried is heart out in todoroki's arms the two stayed like that for the following couple of hours
"I'm sorry and thanks" Midoriya mumbled while sniffling and moving back from todoroki's heart
"Midoriya I love you" Todoroki said without realizing it, he then subconsciously leaning in on Midoriya and kissed him, he felt Midoriya stiffen under him
"I'm so sorry" todoroki said coming to his senses and moved away from Midoriya while looking at the floor "you should go get some sleep, it's really late"
Midoriya stared at todoroki and bit his bottom lip in thought
"Please forget about what I just said, I shouldn't have said anything sorry" Todoroki said "I hope this doesn't affect our friendship"
Midoriya thought about it for a bit and nodded his head "goodnight" he mumbled and walked past todoroki then went back to the dormitory
"I shouldn't have done that" Todoroki mumbled while looking distraught, he sat on the nearby bench and started insulting himself for confessing his feeling to Midoriya while he was emotionally vulnerable and even dared to kiss him
"I'm so sorry Midoriya" Todoroki mumbled while frown, he placed his hand over his aching heart "I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have done that"

"So what did Midoriya want to talk about?" Kirishima asked, he was currently in bakugo's room after the party finished an hour ago and everyone had to go since the following day they had school
"It's nothing really" bakugo said not really in the mood to talk about Midoriya
"Okay" Kirishima said
Silence rested in the room, the two didn't say anything to one another. Bakugo was laying on his bed with eyes closed while kirishima was sitting on the floor staring blankly at the wall
"Hey shitty hair" Bakugo said
"What?" Kirishima asked
"I like you and I really hope that you're my soulmate" bakugo said
This caused kirishima to snap his head back and look at bakugo surprised "are you serious?" He asked while looking hopeful
Bakugo didn't say anything for a little while which caused kirishima to give up on getting a response out the teen
"I'm going back to my room" Kirishima said standing up after a while of waiting
"I'm serious" Bakugo said
Kirishima turned his head to look at bakugo only to see bakugo looking back at him
"You're the one I want" Bakugo said
"Are you confessing to me right now?" Kirishima asked almost teasing but his face was painted red while his heart leaped in joy at what bakugo was telling him
"What do you think shitty hair" bakugo said staring intensely at the red hair
"Well that's a crappy confession but I like you too" Kirishima responded while grinning
"Okay, from today on you're my boyfriend. Goodnight and don't forget to close the door when you leave" bakugo said turning his body to face the wall while he also closed his eyes
"Are you serious? Just like that?" Kirishima asked looking bewildered but a small smile settled on his lips "goodnight bakubro" he said and left the room
