Chapter Text
Zygan was a little bit excited as he waited at the designated spot to wait for Shouto for their date. His tail was wagging in his excitement. They had been dating for around a year. Ever since the Hosu incident, to be exact. He hummed as he thought about his boyfriend, not really noticing that the time for them to meet came and went.
Smiling softly, his ears perked forward. He thought of how it was their 1 year anniversary today. He was excited because he had gotten Shouto a promise ring. He really hoped that Shouto would like the ring.
He then noticed the time and a frown appeared on his muzzle. Humming softly in worry, he checked the time to see that an hour had passed by the time they were supposed to meet. Thinking that maybe Shouto was running late, waited another hour and a half. By the time that the hour and a half passed completely, he was sad and a bit heartbroken.
Had his boyfriend of 1 year forgotten about today? He shouldn't have, considering that Zygan was excited about it all week. He sighed softly, and started the walk back to the dorms. It took around a half hour to get back and he noticed that it was starting to rain. Shaking his wings out, he refurled them to his back.
Walked to the elevator, he got off on Shouto's floor. Hearing a moan, he got confused and followed the noise. He stopped in shock as another moan rang out, right as he got to Shouto's room. Feeling his heart stop for a second, he silently opened the door. He saw Shouto having sex with a woman that he was unable to identify at the angle he was at.
He must have made some type of noise, because Shouto stopped and looked at him, then paled. But Zygan wasn't just heartbroken, he was furious. He backed out of the room and booked it to his own room, tears streaming down his face. He let out a chocked sob, then quickly grabbed some things and bolted out of the dorms, not even noticing that Katsuki and Eijirou had seen him bolt.
Zygan kept running until he got to a park. There, he heaved for breath while sobbing. His ears were folded back against his head and his tail was bristled as much as it could in the rain. His wings were drooped in anger and sadness.
Climbing a tree, he stayed there for a couple of hours, just sobbing. Soon enough, he heard his name being called. He looked down only to see Katsuki and Eijirou. Whining softly, he got out of the tree and stumbled over to them.
They turned and saw a sight that broke their hearts. Zygan had tears streaming down his cheeks and his normally bright blue and purple heterochromatic eyes were dull.
2 hours earlier:
Katsuki was sitting next to his boyfriend, Eijirou Kirishima, when he heard the dorm doors open. Looking over, he saw a sad Zygan walk in. Frowning, he wondered what upset his childhood friend.
“Ei, look.” He whispered, and pointed to Zygan whom was walked to the elevator. “What upset, Zy?” He added, confused.
“I . . . I don't know. Wasn't it Zy's and Todoroki's 1 year anniversary today?” Eijirou asked with confused.
“Yeah, it was. I didn't see Icyhot leave at all though. So . . . that fucker!!!!!” He shouted, gaining the rest of the classes attention.
“Bakugou? What's wrong? Why did you shout?” Ochako asked with worry, as she leaned against her own boyfriend, Tenya.
“Today was Zygan's 1 year anniversary with Icyhot, but I didn't see him leave after he asked Ponytail's help for what to wear. Zy got fucking stood up by him!! I'm gonna kill him!” He snarled.
Before he could get up, he heard footsteps and saw as Zygan ran past, tears on his face along with a heartbroken expression. “Shit!! That was Zygan just now!! Eijirou help me go after him!” Katsuki said.
They both quickly got on jackets, grabbed a third, got their shoes on and bolted out the door, themselves.
Katsuki looked around, but didn't see Zygan, meaning that he had run off of campus most likely. They searched many places, but soon enough, 2 hours had passed by and they were worried. They walked into a park, then stopped.
Hearing a crunching noise, they turned and were heartbroken themselves at what they saw. Zygan had stopped near them, hunched over to make himself look smaller and less threatening. Something he hadn't done since he escaped from the hell he used to be in.
“Zygan? Are you ok, sweet one?” Katsuki asked.
Katsuki calling him sweet one was something he had always done to make Zygan forget about his scars.
Zygan sniffled, then whined softly. “I . . . Today, we were supposed to celebrate one year together. I waited for 2 and a half hours. I . . . what did I do? I'm a good dragon!!!! . . . . Right?!” He asked.
“Oh Sweet one. Of course you are. It's that bastard Todoroki that is the bad one. Come on, we can go back to the dorms and you can cuddle us.” Katsuki murmured.
Eijirou, whom had been silent for now, nodded excitedly. “Yeah!! That would be totally manly!!” Eijirou said happily.
Zygan nodded and they got back to the dorms. Soon enough, they were cuddling. Honestly, Zygan just wanted to sleep, so that was exactly what he did.
