The Park Sibling

Summary:

Jeon JungKook moves from Busan to Seoul in his Jr. Year of Secondary School, on his very first day he meets and makes friends with a bright and outgoing student who pulls him along at his pace. He'd never met anyone like Park JiHyun, the boy had the ability to make him feel instantly at ease and comfortable with himself...

To bad his Hyeong had the opposite effect...

Alternately:

A story where we see if, like the haters say, Jimin really *does* just see Kookie as another little brother like JiHyun.- Spoiler alert (mature rating didn't tell you), he doesn't.

Notes:

So this is a random idea that I came up with after coming across hater after hater claiming that JiKook was only so strong because JungKook reminded Jimin of his little brother. Meanwhile I'm like- bishhh where?!

I have worked on this off and on for weeks while working on my other fic, and hadn't planned on posting it until it was totally complete, but then I was like... well, what if no one likes it? Lol, then what would be the point of completing it?

This story WILL be shorter than my other, though I seem to suck at making one chapter fics, lol. I believe this one will be six or seven chapters and they WILL be relatively long so that I'm not constantly breaking things up. Sooooooooo if interested sit back and relax and read for a while. This story is mainly flirting, fluff and good times with a storyline so of course some things will have to happen (but if you're reading my other fic rest assured this is no where near as heavy... and if you've read Muscle Pig then this isn't as light, lmao).

Anyway, let me know what you think? Do you guys even want the other chapters or should I stop while I'm ahead? XD

Chapter 1: Busan Guys

Chapter Text

JungKook had always been a normal guy, at least as far as he'd known. He'd spent the first 17 years of his life growing up in Busan and hanging out with friends, singing and playing sports, he'd been happy and enjoyed the company of those around him. However, not long into his seventeenth year his Dad was transferred to a newer and much better job in Seoul, and they were forced to move to accommodate it.

To be fair, his Mother had given him the option of staying in Busan with a family member, since he was in the last two years of his secondary education and she knew how hard it could be to start over at such a late point in school. After all by now people have formed bonds, long lasting friendships (like he had with his best friend SeungHo, whom he missed greatly) as well as their own cliques. However, he decided to go with them anyway for several reasons.

One, he'd miss his parents and didn't really think the trade off was worth it, his parents for his friends just didn't sit right with him. Two, his older brother JungHyun lived in Seoul, having moved there after getting a job with a great IT company. The new location of the family now allowed him to come by and visit, as well as allowing Kookie the ability to go by his Hyeong's apartment from time to time to hang out or get away. And Three, he was interested in the music industry. Being a singer and pop star was his dream, and there was no way it was going to happen in Busan, he had to be in Seoul for that, in the end his family being there was just a bonus.

So here he was in the city of Seoul, it was almost like a different world. Busan wasn't small by any means, sporting the title of second largest city in South Korea... but it was far from this level. He had enrolled in school and begun his classes no more than a few days after arriving, and while he'd worried he'd have a hard time adjusting (especially considering the looks his dialect had gotten him while shopping in preparation with his Dad) it turned out that the transition wasn't as hard as he'd thought, because on his very first day he'd made a new friend.

******

After Kookie's, somewhat awkward, introduction to the rest of the class (as he worked to tone down his Busan accent something that, if the sniggers were any indication, hadn't worked) he had taken a seat where the teacher had indicated only to have the kid in front of him toss him a note over his shoulder. He started at the back of the kids head, then looked around to see if anyone was expecting a note. When it seemed no one was paying attention to him, or seemed to be waiting for the letter, JungKook hesitantly opened it.

'Where in Busan are you from?'

Kookie frowned at the sloppy writing before staring at the boys back for several moments, brows furrowing a bit in contemplation he gave a mental shrug and wrote down a response.

'Nam-Gu.'

Waiting until the teacher was talking to someone he leaned forward a bit, dropping it over the boys shoulder. After a moment with no response he went back to paying attention to what the teacher was saying, until a piece of paper bounced off of his head and fell onto his desk. He shot the boy an annoyed glare that didn't matter at all, as the other wasn't looking anyway, before opening the note.

'Cool! I'm from Seo-Gu myself! Great to have another Busan guy in these parts!'

Kookie's eyes widened at the information, his gaze going to the back of the head of the boy in front of him, however before he could think of a response it was time to switch classes. The moment the go ahead was given to leave, the boy turned in his seat, laughing brown eyes fixed on JungKooks' face as the guy gave him a cheerful smile.

"Hey! Geez, I didn't think he'd ever shut up," the kid complained making a face.

"He only did because he had to," another kid said joining them.

Kid one stood gathering his stuff. "We should go, Kim Teacher isn't as bad as this one, but she's still a bit strict."

As he paused waiting for him, JungKooks' brows rose and he began to quickly gather his things. Once he was done the trio headed out of the class as though it were an everyday occurrence.

"Ahh, my bad I forgot to introduce myself," the boy said as they were halfway out of the class. "JiHyun, Park JiHyun and this is Kang SeoYung," he added indicating the boy tagging along with them. "Uh... JungKook right?"

"Yeh, Jeon, Jeon JungKook," Kookie responded blinking as the other gave him a blinding grin.

"Sweet I-"

"I knew he'd talk to you," SeoYung said, cutting off whatever JiHyun had been about to say. "The minute I heard Busan I was like... oh jeez this guy just made JiHyun's day and he doesn't even know it yet."

JiHyun playfully shoved the other guy and them laughed. "Seoul kids are annoying, it's good to have brethren."

"Ya!" SeoYung said playfully shoving the laughing JiHyun at that statement.

By now the had arrived to the next class and conversation lagged as they took their seats.

********

Park JiHyun was a fun, outgoing guy who enjoyed sports, video games, joking and selcas. Being more awkward and reserved when it came to dealing with new people, JungKook found himself easily pulled along at the others pace, however he didn't mind. In fact it was like he'd found two new best friends on his first day of class.

JiHyun had, in a story quite similar to his own, moved to Seoul due to family and work during his last year of Middle School, apparently his older brother had been in his second year of Secondary like JungKook had when the family transitioned over. Having recalled how difficult it was for him to make the adjustment and new friends, JiHyun had been more than happy to step in and befriend the new, uncertain, JungKook. Something Kookie was very grateful for.

Apparently JiHyun had met SeoYung their first year of Secondary and from there they'd been inseparable and, as JiHyun adopted JungKook (his words not JungKooks), SeoYung did much the same, the three of them quickly becoming an inseparable unit. And it was because of this new bond, that JungKook found himself spending the weekend at JiHyuns house hanging out for a guys weekend.

It was also because of this new bond that JungKook found himself severely questioning his 'normalcy'...

********

The evening had started off typically enough, they had decided on having a 'Guys Weekend' earlier that week and it was finally Friday, the first day of hanging out. The boys had swung by JungKook and SeoYung's houses to grab their overnight bags then everyone had made their way to JiHyuns place where they'd decided to hold the 'festivites'. The group had arrived to an empty house, his parents still at their respective jobs, and set about raiding the fridge before heading into JiHyun's room to play video games. About an hour later JungKook found that he was thirsty and wanted water instead of the plethora of sugary drinks they'd brought up on their earlier raid.

"There's cold water in the fridge," JiHyun declared, not looking away from his game as SeoYung's fighter had him cornered. "Che! Come on!!! Kicking someone over and over in the corner isn't fair! Do a different move!"

"All's fair in war!" SeoYung laughed gleefully as JungKook shook his head and headed out in search of a drink.

He padded lightly down the stairs, turning and heading to where he recalled the kitchen being located. As he neared he noticed the light was on and paused... had they left it on? Or were JiHyun's parents home? He debated heading back for a moment before reminding himself not to be childish. He was going to meet JiHyuns parents at one point right? Might as well introduce himself now. With that in mind he stepped into the kitchen, and promptly froze.

He had not expected this.

JungKooks' eyes locked on the man just in front of him whose slivery hair falling lightly into dark, surprised, eyes while his lips were pulled into a pout as if a bit uncertain. The man slowly closed the fridge, tilting his head slightly as he studied JungKook, his expression unreadable. For his part JungKook found himself confused, very confused, as he took in the other males smooth skin, glossy hair, expressive eyes and full lips, he was... beautiful. Could guys be beautiful?

As the other seemed to take note of his stare he gave a small laugh, then a subtle smile, tilting his head once more so that those bangs fell a bit more into his dark eyes as he rose a brow.

"You must be JungKook-ah?..." he said in a tone that was just as soft and musical as the younger man had imagined it would be.

Hearing his name come off of the strangers lips caused him to blink in surprise, his neck quickly flushing as his body reacted to the tone before his brain could. Seeing the amusement flash on the others face, JungKook flushed a bit more and frowned in an attempt to hide his embarrassment.

"Yeh..." he said slowly his brows furrowing. "I'm sorry... I don't..."

"Jimin... Park Jimin, JiHyun's hyeong," the man said with a small smile.

"Ah! Right, sorry Jimin-sshi!" he said quickly, offering a slight bow in greeting. "I hadn't realized you'd be here."

"I live here," was the amused response.

"Right..." JungKook said feeling even more stupid at having forgotten.

The older boy laughed again, though the sound was closer to a giggle if JungKook had to call it anything, and it was pleasant to his ears. The younger boy lightly bit his lip and ran a hand though his dark hair looking around uncertain what, if anything, to add next.

"So..." Jimin said slowly still watching him with a look of perpetual amusement.

"So..." JungKook countered uncertain what to add.

"Did you need something?"

"Who me? No, no I didn't need anything," Kookie said quickly, physically waving off the suggestion with his hand in a way that he knew was spastic, but couldn't seem to stop his body from doing.

"..." that annoying amused expression got worse as the older boy studied him. After a moment Jimin nodded and looked around before looking at JungKook. "So... then you didn't come to the kitchen for anything?"

He wanted to face palm. How could he have been so stupid as to forget?

"Ahh... yeh... water..." JungKook said a bit sheepishly, averting his gaze.

Soft laughter once again rang in his ears as Jimin turned to the fridge once more, he emerged with a pitcher of cold water and moved to the cabinet grabbing a glass. Noticing what he was doing, and still horribly embarrassed, JungKook finally moved from the doorway. He headed further into the kitchen until he was standing next to the table where Jimin was currently pouring the water. As he came to a halt next to the older boy he was struck with their difference in height, the top of others head coming to just about his eye level as he finally straightened.

It seemed he wasn't the only one to notice as Jimin looked up at him, arching a brow before his gaze traveled down JungKook and up again. "I didn't know they made kids your size..."

"I'm not a kid," JungKook responded making a slight face.

"You look like a kid to me."

This time it was JungKook who made a show of looking Jimin up and down before arching a brow in silent question.

"Shut up," the other said, a light pink dusting his cheeks as he forcefully placed the cup of water in JungKook's hands. "Aish, brats today, no respect for their elders." Jimin complained as he turned and put the water away once more.

JungKook laughed softly at the actions and tone. "Thank you, Hyeong."

Jimin threw him a look over his shoulder and made a slight face as if to say he wasn't falling for JungKook's kissing up before he went into the freezer, emerging with an ice cream treat. Kookie's brows rose in surprise as the older man unwrapped it and took a bite.

"Wha?" Jimin mumbled/asked noting the look.

"It's freezing, why are you eating ice cream?" the younger guy asked. Sure they were inside, but even this area carried a chill with the weather outside being so murky.

"I like ice cream," Jimin responded with a shrug.

"Yeah but... even when it's this cold? I mean... isn't that a bit weird?" Kookie asked slowly as if he really couldn't understand the concept.

Jimin made a face at him. "Ya, you brat. How is it weird?" When Kookie shrugged Jimin headed closer to him, his gaze flicking to the glass of water then JungKook. "Do you like water?"

"..." Kookie frowned a bit, his gaze flicking away from Jimin then back as he worked to figure out where this was going before responding slowly. "Yes... kinda need it to."

"Hmm, but you like to drink it?" he repeated, at JungKook's nod Jimin continued. "Do you drink it even when it rains?"

"..That's not-"

"It's exactly the same," Jimin responded. "You telling me it's silly to enjoy *eating* ice cream just because it's cold, is the same as me telling you it's silly to *drink* water when it's raining. They're both stupid."

JungKook blankly looked at Jimin, who was now much too far into his personal space for him to think clearly of a rebuttle. The younger boy swallowed thickly and licked his lips nervously as the smell of hazelnut and chocolate seemed to waft from the older boy leaving him slightly light headed. For an instant, for the smallest instant, Kookie thought he saw Jimin's eyes flick towards his lips just before the elder licked his own however, all to soon, that look was gone and the older guy stepped back.

"Stop being such a stick in the mud JungKookie," Jimin declared as though he'd known him for longer than five minutes, before popping the last of the treat into his mouth, shooting the younger man a wink and heading out of the kitchen.

JungKook stared at the door for several moments after he'd left as if trying to reacclimate himself with his surroundings. He felt disoriented as if he'd been momentarily caught up in a storm that was Park Jimin and was no longer sure what to do next. Blinking, Kookie shook his head and exhaled before finally snapping out of it and heading out of the kitchen and back to JiHyuns room.

********

JungKooks next few interactions with the elder Park were no less confusing for both his senses and his sexuality.

Interaction Number One:

It was later that same night when JungKook playfully kicked at the complaining SeoYung. They had just finished a Super Smash tournament with JungKook soundly beathing both of the other boys and SeoYung, the reigning champ, had not been happy to lose his crown.

"I swear Jeon JungKook, one day I'm going to find something you *can't* do," SeoYung vowed with a pout, to wit JungKook caught him in a headlock and ruffled his hair.

"Sure you will, I look forward to it," he taunted with a laugh, along with an very amused JiHyun as SeoYng pushed his way out of Kookie's grasp.

"Why are you laughing? You should be wanting to help me," SeoYung complained to his best friend, while JiHyun snorted.

"Why would I? You usually beat me, so I was loosing anyway. It's nice to see you lose for a change!" the boy chirped, quickly getting up and running around with room with SeoYung hot on his trail calling him a 'traitor'.

Chuckling and rolling his eyes at their antics, JungKook went into his bag grabbing some clothes. "I'm going to take my shower first." He told the two playing friends, who gave a dismissive wave as they wrestled for dominance.

Snorting one last time JungKook exited the room and headed down the hall to the bathroom. Honestly it hadn't even occurred to him to knock to see if it was occupied, so when the door was pulled open before he could do more than barely touch the knob he visibly jumped.

"Aish!" Jimin said clutching his chest. "You scared me."

JungKook was surprised to see Jimin at all, as he had disappeared after their run in in the kitchen earlier. He'd expected to meet the older man when they had gone down to eat and he'd met JiHyun's parents, but according to their Mom, apparently Jimin 'Was out.' So JungKook had assumed, for some reason, that meant for the rest of the night.

'Obviously I was wrong,' JungKook thought with a slight frown.

The older male was obviously not long finished showering, the bathroom remained damp and humid from his use and he smelled of fresh scented soap and that same hazelnut chocolate from earlier. Jimin wore a towel loosely around his neck and an oversized long-sleeved striped shirt with loose fitting sleep pants. His hair was fluffy and falling into his face, the gray locks looking a bit blond under the slightly tinted bathroom lights and were in a messy array of waves as it seemed he'd just done a quick blow dry with no straightening.

"Curly?" JungKook asked lifting a hand and lightly touching the strands of the older boys hair without thinking.

Jimin's brows rose in surprise as he'd not expected the bold move. "Wavy more than anything..."

Suddenly realizing what he'd done, JungKook snatched his hand back his face coloring a bit as he blinked owlishly.

"Ah...s-sorry, uh... I was, I mean, I didn't... I mean it was-"

"Tempting?" Jimin supplied.

"Yes-no, no," JungKook responded, catching himself and blushing even more.

The older man let out one of those giggles that made his heart skip again before running a hand through his own hair.

"Don't worry JungKookie, I know I'm cute. You like Hyeong-ah a lot right?"

JungKook wasn't sure if he wanted to punch him or kiss him as he stared at those taunting playful eyes.

"No. And it's JungKook," he corrected with a frown.

"JungKookie?"

"JungKook-"

"-ie."

"No, JungKook-"

"-ie."

The younger boy gave an exasperated sigh while the "older" boy grinned wickedly. Lifting a hand Jimin stifled a giggle, his fingers looking so small and cute sticking out from the long sleeve of the to big shirt that JungKook couldn't help but smile himself. Finally calming, Jimin ran the same hand through his hair, pushing the fluffy locks from his face once more and offering JungKook his usual amused look.

"Are you going to take a shower JungKookie?" he inquired.

JungKook rolled his eyes, but it was more affectionate than not. He had no idea what it was about the Park siblings, but they had a way of pulling you along at their pace that was both annoyingly frustrating and adorably endearing. It was like the moment you met them you'd known them forever, he'd never experienced anything like it before. Not that he would ever tell them that, he had a feeling saying it either would only stand to amuse the insufferable pair.

Instead JungKook made a show of looking at the clothes in his hand then back at Jimin. "I would seem that way. Yes."

"And... are you going to take one in the hallway?" Jimin asked pleasantly.

"Obviously not," JungKook responded. "You're in the bathroom, if you'd move then I could use the shower- you know, for my shower."

"Well... if YOU'D move then I could use the door... you know, for my exit," was the overly smug response.

JungKook looked down before realizing that he was, in fact, blocking the exit fully. Until he moved Jimin couldn't leave, so Jimin wasn't stopping him from taking his shower... he was.

Damn it. How many more times was he going to look like an idiot in front of this guy?

"Right..." JungKook said stepping aside to allow Jimin the room to exit.

"Good boy," the older boy teased patting him on the head as he passed.

"Stupid Hyeong," JungKook muttered childishly after that comment.

He thought he'd said it low enough not to be overheard, but apparently he was wrong as Jimin laughed once more.

"Goodnight, Jeon JungKookie," the older boy sang.

JungKook looked over just in time to see Jimin throw him one more smile before disappearing into the room at the end of the hallway. The younger man lifted his free hand putting it lightly to his chest as his heart seemed to be beating oddly inside of it.

"What are you doing?"

JungKook almost jumped a foot and whirled around to see SeoYung standing there looking at him with a confused frown.

"Ah, I was just about to take my shower."

"Just now? But you left ages ago," the other boy said still confused.

"Jimin-Hyeong was in there when I arrived," JungKook said, noting the way SeoYung's brows rose in surprise before he looked past Kookie towards Jimin's room then back at the slightly taller boy.

"Ah, I hadn't realized you'd met Hyeong already. You know since he wasn't home for dinner- Aish, either way that's neither here nor there, let me take a piss before you shower," SeoYung said, dropping the subject as quickly as he brought it up. Obviously he was focused on more important things as he began doing a little dance in the hallway.

JungKook laughed a bit but stepped aside letting the other boy go into the bathroom, a few minutes later SeoYung emerged declaring his relief before heading back to JiHyuns room and JungKook threw one last look towards Jimin's room before heading in to take his shower.

*********

Incident Two:

It was night two of the guys weekend and JungKook, JiHyun and SeoYung had spent the day going any and everywhere in the city they could think of. They did a bit of karaoke, played in the arcade, hung out at some coffee shops and even saw a movie before finally coming back to JiHyuns house later in the evening and once again playing video games in his room. They were in an online team battle of Splatoon against another crew when the door opened and Jimin stood there looking at them.

JungKook promptly got hit by the enemy.

How? Just how was a guy so beautiful?

"Ya! Jeon JungKook watch where you're going!" JiHyun complained. "I already painted that area! Repainting does nothing!"

"I know, sorry," he said flushing as Jimin shot him an amused look as if he knew what Kookie had been thinking.

"Mom and Dad had a thing or something tonight so I'm ordering food, what do you want?" Jimin asked looking at them.

"I want you to knock before you enter my room," JiHyun replied shooting his brother a glare.

"I don't know that place, what kind of food do they serve?" was the smart ass reply, JungKook found himself oddly relieved Jimin wasn't just that much of an ass with him.

"I'm serious Hyeong, it's my room. You should knock, you can't just walk in," JiHyun complained shooting him another glare.

"Why not? You boys watching porn?"

"No!" all three screamed at once, causing the 'elder' to laugh hysterically.

"Stupid Hyeong," JiHyun snorted rolling his eyes. "I don't know HOW he's the older one."

"Says the kid playing Splatoon," Jimin added dryly. "What do you want to eat? Come on so I can ord-"

Jimin was cut off as he was barreled into. JungKook jumped in surprise at the apperance of the lanky boy, but it seemed he was the only one as JiHyun and SeoYung barely spared him a glance and Jimin only rolled his eyes.

"Pizza! Pick pizza!" the boy declared loudly in a slightly whiny tone.

"TaeHyung-ah if you don't get off of me, I swear," Jimin almost growled, however it had no affect on the lanky boy as he all but collapsed forward causing Jimin to lean under his weight.

"Pizzaaaaa Jimin-ah," he said as if dying.

"It's not just your choice," Jimin said elbowing him painfully in the side.

TaeHyung, obviously use to the abuse, gave a grunt but didn't move an inch.

"JiHyun, SeoYung and... wait, who are you? I don't know you," he said finally realizing JungKook was there as the younger boy stared at him wide eyed.

"That's JungKook," JiHyun said dismissively before adding. "Who KEEPS LOSING US POINTS, pay ATTENTION JK!"

"Sorry!" JungKook frowned, pulling his gaze from Jimin and the lanky boy and trying to stomp down the feelings that his brain told him were, quite possibly, jealousy of the way the other just draped himself over the smaller guy.

"JungKook... JungKook..." lanky guy repeated a few times before saying, "I'm TaeHyung, you can just call me Hyung." He declared with a boxy grin. "You're JiHyun's new friend he's been talking about right? Welcome to our lives. I'm Kim TaeHyung, Jiminie's best friend."

"So he decided on his own," Jimin muttered.

"Only because you don't seem to know what's best for you," TaeHyung said in a tone that implied they'd had this conversation a lot. "So, JungKook-ah, pizza?"

JungKook snorted, looking from the game over to Jimin. Their eyes connected and the gray haired man offered him a subtle smile.

"What did you want to have Jimin-Hyeong?"

"Me?-"

"Pizza," TaeHyung declared for him.

Jimin snorted and rolled his eyes. "Pizza if fine. Don't mind TaeHyungie, his Mom's currently on a heath kick-"

"And I'm dying, DYING I say!!" the boy cried dramatically, though this time he peeled himself away from Jimin and threw himself on JiHyun, causing the younger boy to yell out several objections about not being able to see his game.

"Fine! Fine! Pizza! Just get off!!!" JiHyun bellowed.

Tae pulled back and faced SeoYung who quickly yelled out 'Pizza' as well, earning him a boxy grin in response. JungKook couldn't help but laugh a bit, though he refrained from comment.

"Tae has a way with getting his way," Jimin said catching on to what the younger man was thinking.

"I noticed..." JungKook said softly, with a subtle smile.

As Jimin shared it with him, JungKook finally took note of TaeHyung, sitting cross-legged in the space between he and Jimin and looking back and forth between them with an expression of extreme interest. Catching what he was doing JungKook quickly looked away.

"Come on you pest, let's order," Jimin declared pulling TaeHyung up.

The lanky man went with little effort because, well pizza, and the two older boys exited the room leaving JungKook watching the door until JiHyun complained about him causing them to loose again.

****

An hour later, the loud call of 'Food!' from TaeHung followed by Jimin's warning that the lanky boy was eating it all, brought them downstairs to eat. After a bit of joking and laughing they decided to eat in the living room while watching a movie. Apparently, in his boredom, the strange bird that was Kim TaeHyung had decided to build a massive fort in the living room using the loveseat and a rickety setup of a few dining room chairs, along with pillows blankets and a small portable heater.

After a bit of debate and a lot of complaining on the part of Jimin, it was decided they'd do a horror movie, with both JiHyun and SeoYung heading into the fort with TaeHyung and their food/drinks. For his part Jimin, who was not at all pleased about the horror selection, took the full sized sofa located behind the fort and JungKook decided to join him.

"Aww, come on you can fit," JiHyun complained while SeoYung and TaeHyung focused on eating their pizza.

"No way, too many dudes, too small a space. I'm good on the couch," Kookie replied making a face and working his way around the oversized fort to the sofa with Jimin.

The older man shot him a look as he sat before leaning over and saying in a tone only JungKook could hear. "Do you really like Hyeong-ah that much?"

JungKook made a face at him in response and Jimin giggled, yet again.

"Bunny," the older man said making a face back before turning to his food. "That wasn't a no..." he added dryly, though thankfully for JungKook and his rapidly reddening cheeks, Jimin didn't look over this time.

Over the next two hours JungKook learned three very important things about Park Jimin.

One: Despite his penchant for ice cream, he got cold really easily.

Not long after he'd eaten his pizza Jimin, much to TaeHyungs chagrin, stole one of the many blankets off of the top of his fort and cuddled in under it as the movie got going. It wasn't long before he stretched out, even going so far as to press his socked feet against JungKooks thigh and demand the younger boy offer his hyeong some of the warmth he was hogging.

As ridiculous as the request was, the serious pout and slightly chattering teeth won JungKook over and he suggested that Jimin switch sides as he'd probably get more warmth that way. With no further prompting needed he flipped on the sofa and JungKook found the smaller mans form pressed against his side as he burrowed in for warmth, his body in a ball and his legs pulled up leaving the other corner of the sofa empty. However, on the upside he did offer JungKook use of the covers, which he happily accepted as they settled in watching the movie.

Two: He was a horrible scardy cat.

Jimin jumped at everything. Like. Everything.

Anytime a door slammed. Jumped. Anytime someone unexpectedly spoke. Jumped. Anytime someone laughed. Jumped. Not only that but at the truly scary parts he was partial to burying his head against JungKooks shoulder and insisting the younger man let him know when it was over. Something Kookie enjoyed for two reasons, one- it was fun to lie and say it was, just in time for Jimin to look up for the jumpscare Kookie knew was coming. And two, he smelled really, really nice. Like really nice, and when he burrowed close Kookie could partake of the smell without coming off as some creepy sniffing weirdo.

It was a fresh scent again today. A smell Kookie recognized from the elder boys shampoo, Kookie had used the same one when he'd showered yesterday and had found it refreshing. Clear, clean smells were his favorite, he hated overly flowery or pungent smells so this had fallen right into his comfort zone. However, try as he might, he'd not been able to locate the subtle chocolate hazelnut scent that also clung to the older male. It wasn't his shampoo or soap, maybe a lotion or cologne?

JungKook rested his chin on the top of Jimins hair as the older boy once again clung to his arm while the creepy music did its slow build to let you know the ghost was about to attack.

"It's safe Hyeong," he murmured.

"Liar," was the muffled reply as Jimin pressed closer.

Kookie gave a soft, breathy laugh and tapped the top of Jimins head with his chin, lifting a hand he gave the older man a brief one armed hug as a scream rang out from the TV extra loud, due to TaeHyung and JiHyun's insistence on using the surround sound. Jimin made a sound and burrowed deeper, when the screaming finally finished after a few moments he shifted and JungKook pulled back just in time for Jimin to slowly lift his head. Instead of his gaze going to the TV wide eyes went to JungKook.

"Are they done?" he whispered in an almost conspiratorial tone.

Fuck he was cute.

"Yeh Hyeong, they're done," he said with a small smile.

The older boy frowned at him as if gauging his truthfulness and JungKook did his best to suppress his laughter. Lightly biting his lip, Jimin slowly hazarded a sideways glance towards the TV soon seeing that JungKook wasn't lying this time... it seemed the scary part was over for now as the lead was now doing one of those 'research' montages. The gray haired man relaxed his head falling forward to JungKook's shoulder.

"You okay?" JungKook inquired.

"Try not to sound so amused," Jimin said dryly looking up at him. "Then I may actually think your question is sincere."

Kookie's lips twitched. "Yeh, Hyeong."

"Brat," the older man said making a face at him.

JungKook made one back at him before butting their heads together. It was in this instance he learned the most important thing of all... thing number-

Three: Jimin was attracted to him.

To be honest while he didn't have much experience with girls and girlfriends and no experience with guys or boyfriends, he still knew when someone was attracted to him. Granted sometimes it took him a little longer to catch it, but it had happened a fair share of times in his life considering his appearance, academic history, singing skills and athletic abilities. There had always been quite a few girls around him with crushes, something his old friends use to tease him about, and that lately JiHyun and SeoYung had taken to doing the same.

So it was because of his friends constantly hounding him about 'the signs' of the various girls who'd had crushes on him, that JungKook instantly took note of them when they occurred. Like now for example. When his head bumped against Jimin's, the older boys eyes widened and it happened again, that brief flick of his gaze towards Kookie's mouth. The younger man felt his breath leave him as he was sure of the action this time around. JungKook lightly licked his lips, his own eyes going to Jimins mouth as the older man mirrored the action.

"Jimin-ah..." he said softly.

Jimin blinked, his darkened eyes lifted and locked with JungKooks as the two stared at one another for several moments, barely breathing.

He wanted to kiss him.

JungKook was struck with the realization so abruptly that his mind went blank for a moment. It wasn't the fact that he wanted to kiss him, it was how badly he wished to do so. He had never been this type, even the one real girlfriend he'd had, had been weeks and weeks of friendship and connections before they had gotten to the point of dating, let alone physical contact. Yeah his friends had teased him about it, but he'd never put much stock in their teasing, to him life was about much more than physical attraction. After all that was just a momentary thing and it was never too strong to resist.

Well, until now.

JungKook stared at the other boy in question and Jimin frowned a bit as if he knew the question, but was uncertain of the answer. However, uncertain was not a no. The younger boy shifted slightly, his mouth moving towards Jimin, relieved that the older male didn't pull back. Just as their lips brushed... a scream rang out.

"Aish!" Jimin exclaimed, flinching and jumping back he clutched his chest, his gaze shooting to the TV before he instantly regretted it as a ghoulish image met him there.

When Jimin had flinched back his forehead connected with JungKook's nose leaving the younger man clutching it in pain while laughter rang out from the fort. A moment later TaeHyung appeared peaking over the top with a wide grin.

"That was great wasn't it Jiminie?! You didn't even see it coming," he said in a far too amused tone.

Jimin, who was currently hiding his face in his hands, growled. "Fuck you, Kim TaeHyung."

The lanky man laughed and exited the fort, skipping over he joined them on the couch, squeezing in between Kookie and Jimin and hugging the sliver haired man.

"Don't be mad Jiminie, I still love you," he said squeezing him and rocking him back and forth.

"I hate you," was the petulant reply.

"But I love you more than you hate me, so my love wins," TaeHyung declared.

"I very seriously doubt you can love me more than I hate you right now," Jimin grumbled.

Seeing that the other older boy had no plans of moving any time soon, as he settled into the spot and watched the screen while still hugging Jimin, Kookie reluctantly stood and made his way over to the fort with JiHyun and SeoYung, who moved over to make room. As he checked his stinging nose one last time, JungKook chuckled at the thought that this wasn't how he would have liked to have ended the experience. But perhaps it was for the best. After all, if TaeHyung had popped up out of the fort just a few moments earlier it probably would have been bad for them both.
