I love islands, I live on one and visit others as often as I can.
Music is another love, I've played the clarinet since I was 11. Don't play much nowadays, but I love listening to music and going to concerts. Music is the universal language that can touch hearts, which is why:
I also love languages, I mangle a fair amount of them, but am fluent in three and speak another two fairly well. I would love to learn to speak Quenya, but can only manage a few phrases.
I read a lot, too much if you ask my family, fantasy being my favourite genre and Tolkien my #1 of that genre. I especially enjoy the Silmarillion, although I could probably quote most of the Lord of the Rings if you woke me up in the middle of the night and asked me to. My love is given to Fëanor and his extended family, or rather the entire House of Finwë, although I am not above a little affair with Glorfindel, Gildor, Erestor, Beleg Cúthalion, Ecthelion, Elladan, Elrohir or whoever else catches my fancy at the moment.
As if that wasn't enough, I am also into Yuri!!! on Ice fandom, reading voraciously and writing from time to time.
And... I have a fairly recent obsession with The Untamed. WangXian is my ship and I'll see it happily sailing into the sunset.
