It’s not what he wanted. It’s not what he asked for. And yet—when Grayson’s hand brushes his elbow again, steadying him gently as they walk down the fire escape, Damian doesn’t pull away. His instincts are screaming at him to shake the touch off. That’s just sympathy. Just pity.
