When Chloe starts reading Class of 3001, she doesn’t expect it to be so captivating. Getting lost inside those pages is so easy, and she can empathize with the characters in a way she never has before. As it turns out, though, these books are much less PG than she initially thought, and, while she’s never touched herself while reading a book before, but why shouldn’t she? Nobody will ever know. It’s supposed to be her little secret, until Lucifer shows up and catches her in the act.

“Am I…” He took a deep breath, almost bracing himself for a physical blow, “Am I a good boyfriend, Detective?”
The words escaped his lips in a rush, so quick that they might have as well burned his throat on the way out. He found himself horrified, wondering if he should use his wings and just… get away.
Who the fuck says something like that?
“Of course you are.” The Detective said, sounding confused, “Did something happen?”
He called upon his bravery and whatever miniscule amount of self-respect he had left, opening his eyes to find her staring at him. She was as worried as he’d ever seen her, her eyes scanning him as if she could find some sort of injury on his skin.
If anyone could fix him, it would be her.
“N-no.” He stuttered, uncomfortable, “It’s just…”
Human emotions were hard.

She tries again. Carefully, Chloe sits down. He doesn’t react. She puts her legs on the bed one by one. No reaction. Slowly she lies down on her back and closes her eyes. She doesn’t reach for the blanket yet. A smile keeps dancing on her lips.
Not ten seconds later, a hand smacks her into her arm, pushing her away again. “I’m flattr’d, really, but no, I’m hap’ly m’rried,” he says, voice thick with sleep.
