There was a petal in the sink. Covered in his own saliva, but a petal none the less.
Had he eaten flowers sometime during the party and forgot? Why were there petals in his mouth? Had there been a game of truth or dare he forgot he had joined in on?

They both looked stunning, but surely that didn’t mean he liked them like that.
And as if to prove him wrong, a cough tore through this throat, another petal landing in his hand. Dropping the second petal next to the first, he stared at both resting in the sink. One was white, the other a deep red. He could try to lie to himself, say the petals could be for anyone else, but…

Avid makes the mistake of entering the woods by himself with the intention of killing the Goldsmith coven. He is one man, and Owen is one vampire with hatred and cruelty guiding his every movement. When presented with a choice, Avid 'decides' to become a vampire.
And Owen has a great time training his new fledgling.

Summary
It seemed that every new day brought Pyro more and more suffering. So many new things he never once in his life thought about having to deal with appearing, not letting him catch a break and one particular person that turned his life upside down.
Scott is doing everything he is used to doing - being a sire to his coven, and therefore taking all their fates in his hands. When he discovers that not everything is as expected, he decides to make it work in his favour, though not without consequences and byproducts on the way.

Semi canon divergent fic focusing on Pyro and Scott’s relationship (not romantic) as they both have hands full with things out of their control.
