Des Menschen größter Traum ist es auf ewig jung zu sein. Selbst nach 100 Jahren wie rund 20 auszusehen. Aber sie haben nie über die Konzequenzen gedacht, denn, seien wir mal ehrlich, einen Testsubjekt von den Kreislauf des Lebens zu entfernen und es trotzdem wie eine normale Lebensform zu behandeln ist an sich sehr sadistisch. Nur leider ist das eine Lüge, nicht wahr?

Summary
As a knight of the crown, Kaito had sworn fealty to young prince Shinichi. To his bewilderment, His and Her Majesty moved up the prince's crowning ceremony by a whole 2 years, which required him to be mated. Except Shinichi had not yet chosen a suitor, meaning tradition and law stated all unmated alphas had an opportunity to compete for his hand in a Mating Run.
But Kaito would be damned if he let some brute claim his prince. He would live true to his oath and protect him once again.

As the chains were draped around him at certain points the thick bracelets clapped around his wrists. They very clearly were made to be pulled on. He looked down at the clear interlocking mechanism on both of the wrist bands. A collar clicked shut around his neck and he could no longer delude himself.

“I’m fine.” KID said, standing up. He didn’t turn around fully, but he did angle himself backwards just a bit to look at Saguru, so he could see half of his face. He would have been able to see more, had KID’s hands not been covering the other half. Thick, dark liquid was steadily dripping from it, onto his collar. Saguru must have looked as horrified as he felt, because KID’s visible eye sharpened. “I’m fine.” He insisted.
“Obviously not!” Saguru answered, louder than he intended. “Kuroba, your face is literally covered in-“
“Nothing.” Kuroba interrupted, a panicked edge in his voice. “There’s nothing there because I’m fine.”
Kaito gets shot at a heist. This leads to revelations for both him and a certain blonde detective chasing him.
