Summary
Join us to celebrate the musical aspects of The Magicians (Lev Grossman, SyFy) from Mar. 23-29, 2026!
Don’t Make Me Sing (Every Single One of Us Has to Sing) is a fanworks event centered around music. We do love musicals, music sung or performed within the story, and songfic (and, of course, all the musical moments and episodes of The Magicians). However, your entry can be anything related to music at all, provided it takes place in the world of The Magicians (Lev Grossman, SyFy).
All forms of fan content are welcome. It can be a new work or a continuation of an existing WIP. There are no limits or requirements for amount, words, extent, length, size, etc. The challenge takes place on AO3 and Tumblr.

We're so excited to bring back Queliot Week, with the blessing of one of the original mods! Welcome to seven days celebrating the love of Quentin Coldwater / Eliot Waugh of The Magicians (Lev Grossman, SyFy) with all the fanworks you can create!
Queliot Week 2026 will take place from June 15-21. This will be an annual event, during the timeslot brought to us by Queliot Week 2019. Read on to learn about the themes and how this event works!
All forms of fan content are welcome. It can be a new work or a continuation of an existing WIP. There are no limits or requirements for amount, words, extent, length, size, etc. The challenge takes place on AO3 and Tumblr. We have a list of themes; please let us know which one(s) you're using.

For this event, anything Keys Quest is welcome! We'll have one week per key, and one catch-up/overall quest week. Also, with relaxed posting, anything related to the Quest for the Seven Keys will be welcome anytime, just in case you're not retrieving your keys in the same order as the show or the same way as the books, or want to collect several at the same time!

Time Is an Illusion. It may be hard to believe, but December 16, 2025, marks the ten-year anniversary of the first episode of The Magicians. To celebrate that, we’re running a week-long event.
From Dec 8-16, 2025, Eastern time, please post your works to AO3 and/or Tumblr. All forms of fan content are welcome. It can be a new work or a continuation of an existing WIP. There are no limits or requirements for amount, words, extent, length, size, etc. The themes for the ten-year celebration are anniversary, 1x01-inspired, and/or time-related. Any or all of these themes are fine. They don't need to be the main focus of the work, but should be visible in some form. Please share with us which one(s) you're using.

Theme: WARM UP. This is a micro Magicians fanwork event, celebrating The Magicians (Lev Grossman, SyFy). Posting Dec. 1-7, 2024 (Eastern time zone). For this challenge, we’re especially interested in pieces that are small, like fic to about 1,000 words (drabbles, poems, and flash encouraged), and shorter/smaller fanworks of every sort. Submit as many or few as you like. The “warm up” theme could include vibes that are warm, cozy, related to winter, being hot (in any sense of that word), warming up or preparing for a big event, just starting out in something like magic, or any spin you’d like to put on it!
