Summary
This is a comprehensive guide to the series 'Sequelae of the fall and various other curses' which started in August 2025 and is still ongoing but posted in a very haphazard order thanks to an episode of hypomania in November and December and then random ideas that pop up.
In this AU, Lucifer has mysteriously developed the celestial curse of a human malady at some unknown time before a suicide attempt in February 2018. Linda, in her capacity as a psychiatrist, and Michael, who has been secretly working as a surgeon in Los Angeles for two years after being abruptly dismissed from his Heavenly duties by God in December 2015, work to settle him and make sense of how an archangel could have seemingly suddenly been saddled with this curse while multiple stressors bloom around them, threatening Lucifer's stability and what's left of Michael's blind faith in their Father.
The guide provides background leading up to the first story.
A second chapter provides the order of divergent stories written that focus on the relationship between Michael and Ella, a separate series called 'Life s/p replantation'.

Summary
Every year that Michael spent on Earth through medical school, internship, residency, and fellowship, God tested him. He could always determine His son's internal devotion from afar, but He wanted to catch any small aberrant behaviors or beliefs through direct interaction not performed by Him. For seven years, the answers from His Right Hand regarding his conviction were the same, but then one pivotal belief began to morph.

Summary
Six months after she was poisoned and three months after starting an 'elevated platonic relationship' with Lucifer, Chloe decides she'd like to go one step further to a full romantic relationship with him. Lucifer refuses until she recognizes that he is the Devil, but when he subsequently proves it to a disbelieving Chloe, it goes very poorly. Once she realizes how terrible her behavior toward him was, she has to work her hardest to bring Lucifer back to her emotionally and geographically.
(The 'Sequelae of the fall' version of how Chloe learned the truth, but it can be read outside of the series without any issue.)

Summary
When Lucifer tricked Amenadiel into allowing him to stay in Los Angeles in 2011, it caused upheaval in Heaven. Michael, already secretly living on the East Coast for more than a decade, first in medical school then as a practicing surgeon, was recalled to Heaven to sit at their Father's right hand as they worked out the governance of Hell and what to do with Lucifer. Before anything was settled, however, their Father released him back to Earth in December 2015. Drawn to Los Angeles after watching it in Lucifer's life for almost five years, he moved there.
It's February 2018, and Michael hasn't made a single attempt to track down Lucifer or get any update on his life, content to just exist peacefully and solitarily as he did in Boston and Baltimore. Following an erroneous page at work, however, Dr Demiurgos finds that his twin’s life has changed exponentially in the last two years, the Devil can love and be loved unconditionally, and their Father may not be as benevolent as he'd always assumed.

Summary
Five weeks have passed since Lucifer was properly diagnosed with bipolar disorder and four weeks since he started the treatment for it, and it appears that Linda’s initial prescription for Lucifer’s inexplicable human malady has been successful. Unfortunately, as he hits the target dose, he develops an incredibly rare and deadly reaction to the drug, one that affects only 0.08% to 0.3% of patients, necessitating distancing from Chloe and that Michael take over Lucifer’s care as he remains unmedicated and his mood plummets. With Lucifer refusing to see anyone but his twin, Michael has to use his medical knowledge, connections, and newly redeveloped relationship with his brother to put Lucifer back together.

Summary
After a few nights of Ella crashing at the penthouse after his hospital discharge, Lucifer begins to wonder why adults don’t have platonic sleepovers with friends. While most of their time was spent with telenovelas, inappropriate TikTok videos, karaoke, and weed, there were two nights that stood out: the one when Ella found out the truth about Lucifer’s identity, and the one when she found out about Chloe’s divine creation.

Summary
After Ella and Chloe manage to slide into Lucifer's post-hospitalization life more than they were present before, making sure he always has someone who loves him close by when he used to be solo, he begins to realize during an appointment with Linda that he doesn't want to live alone anymore because his life on Earth is more meaningful with others keeping him from his darker side by kind proximity.

During the week after Lucifer and Michael fought about Lucifer’s plans regarding his future, Chloe and Lucifer get married and discuss trying for a baby. When they’re almost instantaneously successful, Lucifer is a bit wary yet excited, but then Chloe’s physical health and subsequently his mental health begin to spiral downward.

After successfully finding a different treatment for his rather mysterious bipolar disorder, Lucifer emotionally and legally deepens his relationship with Chloe, but his Father’s interference seemingly based in His own guilt quickly has profound effects on their lives. As time passes and problems compound, Lucifer has to work with Michael and Amenadiel to figure out why he's been such a constant target by their Father considering so much time has passed since his Fall and whether any of the apparent curses are even fixable.

Each happened in a different place with different people and initially unidentified triggers, and each was handled deftly by his loved ones with Linda and Michael trying to put the pieces together afterwards even as Michael’s own health starts to be affected by his twin’s crises.
