Description:

After the world didn't end, Aziraphale and Crowley were free to live their lives without fear of judgment from Heaven or Hell, but holding on to old beliefs kept their relationship from changing. Until Crowley is punished by an act of kindness thousands of years before, and left without his memories. In order to recover Crowley to his former self, Aziraphale is forced to face his prejudices about demons and love.

However, even after accepting Crowley's feelings as well as his own, Aziraphale refuses to challenge his beliefs, until Crowley recovers his memories of his time while cursed and realizes that Aziraphale still sees them as fundamentally different, putting their budding relationship in danger unless Aziraphale can confront the reason for his beliefs.

Notes:

Title of the series from Mirah's The River, slightly modified because I thought "We'll find our lives are kinder without complications of the fear in me that had taken seed and crowded out the love" would be too long as a title
