    You're right, childbirth is not cute. Its a gruelling experience that often leaves women with lingering pain, baby blues or changed views of their body. I didn't just stick it in for fun. I stuck it in to show the willingness Miyeon felt to put her body through that. If she had never gone to Riverside she wouldn't have had much choice by her parents ideals for her. Minnie gave Miyeon a freedom her parents didn't, to choose how and when she did things. It's my crappy writing if that couldn't be inferred.

    I am sorry you didn't like the wedding either, the heteronormativity you mentioned was simply a reflection of them, Minnie is a gardener, she spends hours in overalls and long pants. That is what she would feel most comfortable in. Miyeon, is a girly girl, she is often wearing dresses and skirts. I do hope you didn't think Minnie would be doing people gardens in skirts and dresses, that is quite impractical considering she also helps build things like flower beds.
