Oh my gOD, it's just one chapter and I'm already so excited about this whole world. I'm especially looking forward to finding out why Derek didn't come back (that first night as well as anytime later in the following ten years) and what the connection/relationship is between his world and the human world (seeing as he says both worlds are in danger). The idea is cute and wonderful and heartwarming, I can't waint for more. (Also: the thought of little Derek as a puppy. Hnnnng.)
