The existential horror of ottawa indeed!!! so many moments that killed me - the line about shane's sincerity, the loser v quitter distinction, ilya thinking that shane needs ilya to save him from his own greatness as a way to motivate himself. what if your career and personal life were hinged around the same batshit insane canadian man ??? ilya is so justified lmao . more things abt this fic i enjoyed... shane agreeing to go to monaco, hustlnig everyone at poker and accidently winning 50k will make me explode if i think abt it in real world terms but it is beautiful in terms of this fic. thats love. the fact that they have a good night and the next morning they have their big blow out fight... the SUNGLASSES.
