His eyebrows scrunch in confusion at that. “Knackered, yeah. Not used to drinking that much,” he mutters before tilting his head at his friend. “But that’s not what you mean, is it? Tired of what?”
“Punishing yourself for being you.”
His breath catches in his throat as he meets those grey eyes—the same ones that he’d first encountered at the welcome feast in first year, the ones that never judged him for not truly fitting in anywhere.
