Based on the prompt by Hannah: Gale dumps Katniss right before the holidays, and she gets depressed because of this. She has a chance encounter with Peeta (however you want to spin it, strangers, acquaintances, old friends etc.,) who is also upset over the holidays because it reminds him of the tragic accident which cost him his leg. They bond over their dislike of the holidays and end up in bed together. Bonus points if the story concludes with the possibility of them forming a real relationship in the future.
