Chapter Text
“Leave us now”
Galina left, the room taking any hope of release that Shane had left. The alpha, Mr. Rozanov, from what Shane had collected was now alone with him in his drugged, and nude state.
“Come Omega” the man bent over putting a hand on Shane's upper back helping him to sit upright on the bed, legs hanging off the sides.
The alpha turned around and grabbed the bag off of the table bringing it over and placing it next to Shane on the bed. Shane wanted to reach and grab the bag, explore the contents of it but when he looked down towards it the man used a gentle hand to bring his face back up.
Shane heard rattling as the man reached into the bag. The man lifted whatever he was grabbing for and brought his hands to Shane's neck. When Shane flinched he raised the item up a bit higher, so the omega could see what it was.
It was a collar.
The man wanted to put a collar on him.
“Mnot a dog” Shane muttered through his drugged state
“No” the alpha replied “you are not” and though the man agreed with the statement he still fastened the collar around Shane's neck. On top of that he attached a leash. Even though the man said he understood Shane, when he explained that he was not a dog.
Shane thought he did not actually understand.
Shane wondered if it was maybe because of his weird voice.
He felt a tug against the collar and realised that the man was trying to get him to stand up, but his legs felt like jelly he didn’t think he could stand at the moment, let alone walk. So he told the man just as much.
The man didn’t seem to understand again, because he just laughed at Shane, then continued to tug on the leash, so Shane attempted to clarify once again.
“She poked me, now I can't walk.”
This seemed to finally make the man understand what he was attempting to explain, as he nodded and lifted Shane into his arms in a bridal carry.
As they walked down the pristine white hallways, all Shane could think about was how the alpha was very strong.
Once they reached the doors, the alpha spoke to a woman behind a desk who pressed a button, and told him to “call if he needed any assistance”.
As they walked through the doors, Shane started to wiggle against the man, he didn’t want to go into the public eye while naked, but was stopped when the man hit him very hard one time on his bottom.
“Settle down, omega”
Shane figured he couldn’t run very far when he was drugged, so he decided just to wait until later. Finally the man stopped walking and placed him down in a car before closing the door and walking around to the drivers side. Shane started crying again. He wanted to go home, but no one would let him. The alpha got in the car and started the engine before turning to Shane.
“Is okay, we will be home soon. Then we talk, okay?” the alpha turned towards him and wiped the tears from his face but shane just kept crying.
As the man started driving, Shane realized that they were driving toward a city rather than up into the mountains. The man wasn’t taking Shane to his home, they were going in the wrong direction for it to be Shane's home.
“You will murder me,” he whimpered. He knew it wasn’t logical, that the man would not go through the trouble that he did to get him out of the facility, just to kill him. But the stories that he had heard of what happened to omegas in the world were just so terrible. He knew that he wasn’t safe outside of his community.
“I will not. You are safe now honey” the man replied.Though the words did little to help Shane, he just shook his head and continued in his crying.
Finally, the car came to a stop and the alpha turned off the engine. They repeated the original process of getting in the car but reversed, the man came around and took Shane out of the car this time, lifting him into strong arms once again. He carried Shane through the front door of a house that he did not know, one that was most certainly not his own, and placed Shane down on a carpeted floor.
The alpha took the leash off of Shane, but left the collar, and exited the room. Once he returned he was holding a small bag containing a lot of little brown items.
He sat on the floor across from Shane, and placed the bag in between them.
They sat in silence for a moment before the man spoke. “My name is Ilya. We are matched, and I take care of you now, as your alpha. I am going to ask you questions, I want you to do best to answer honestly. Okey?”
The man sounded genuine and kind, but Shane did not know what a decent portion of the words meant in this context so he just hugged his knees to his chest and nodded.
“Good” the alpha smiled at Shane “can you tell me your name”
Shane knew that the man knew his name already. Galina had said it in front of him at least once if not more when they were quietly talking in the corner. But he didn’t want to make the man upset, and he had agreed when the man asked him to do his best to be honest.
“Shane”
“Shane, have you eaten chocolate before?”
He didn’t think that he had, It wasn’t a crop that they grew, nor was it an animal that they raised in the community. At home they only ate what was natural.
“I don’t think so”
“Would you like to try some?” the man asked. Shane was having an internal battle. On the one hand he would likely never have something like this at home, on the other hand….
“Yes please”
He held out his hands, but the man tutted, telling him just to open his mouth. Though it made Shane uncomfortable, he didn’t want to make Ilya upset with him. What he was met with could be described as nothing short of heaven. The chocolate was creamy and melted against his tongue. It tasted sugary like fruit did except there was something else to it, something that he didn’t have the words to describe.
He heard the man chuckle, and thought that it must’ve been from the reaction on his face.
“You like?” he asked
Shane nodded rapidly in affirmation, chocolate may just be the best thing he had ever tasted.
“For every question you answer Shane, you may have more chocolate”
Shane thought that this deal sounded good so he looked up to the man ready for his next question.
“What is your favorite color shane?”
Shane thought that the line of questioning was bizarre but he was more than happy to answer, so long as he continued getting pieces of chocolate.
“Probably blue, or um maybe red”
Ilya nodded and rewarded him with another piece of chocolate.
“Do you have a favorite drink?”
They didn’t really drink much other than water, but he supposed he liked juice or when his mom would make special teas from whatever the harvest gave that month. His mom was the town healer, so she made a lot of tea.
“Ginger tea”
More chocolate, the bits were small, but they were absolutely delicious every single time he got one.
Shane thought that he could get used to this. They continued like this for about ten more minutes. Ilya would ask Shane a simple question then when Shane would answer he would be rewarded with a piece of chocolate, so on and so forth. Finally after Shane began to get comfortable with the line of questioning , and what the man expected of him, Ilya changed what he wanted to hear about.
“Shane, do you know why government took custody of you?”
Shane didn’t like this question, he wanted to go back to talking about colors, and favorite foods, not about what happened with his parents.
“Kind of” that was true, though he knew what Galina had said to him he still didn’t know entirely what had happened.
“Would you like me to explain?” Ilya questioned.
“No thank you” he didn't want to hear people speak badly about his parents. Though he didn’t technically give the man an entirely honest answer like he had requested, he was still rewarded with a piece of chocolate.
“Do you understand why you are with me?”
“Not really” this was another thing that Shane did not want to know the answer to. In reality he had heard the stories of what happened to omegas that were outside of his community, but not why he was with Ilya particularly. The answer earned him a piece of chocolate though. But the alpha didn’t ask if he wanted to know, he just began explaining.
“When you spoke with Galina first time, there was big mirror in room. Yes?” Shane nodded, affirming that fact that he did indeed remember the mirror. “Galina invited me and other alphas to stand on other side. It was one way window.”
“One way window?” Shane had never heard of such a concept.
“Да, window with special covering so only one side can see through.”
“Oh” Shane wanted to know so much more about this technology, but figured that he would have more time to question it later.
“I enjoyed you, Shane. We are compatible, government agreed I am now guardian for you. I want to mate you and be your alpha.”
Shane's line of sight started closing in, he was panicking. The man was going to do exactly what they were told the outsiders would do. Shane had to get out of there, state of dress be damned, if he didn’t get out then and there the alpha was going to forcibly mate him, and it would hurt so bad. He would be reliant on this alpha for the rest of his life.
He wasn’t sure whether the dose of drugs given to him was lighter and worn off, if it was adrenaline, or a sugar rush from the chocolate, but a fire was lit inside him, and he knew that he had to run. He darted up from his place on the floor and sprinted to the door that he came in through. It wouldn’t open so he tried to pry it open or look for the lock, panicking even more when there wasn’t one to be found. He tried two more doors before he was bear hugged from behind and lifted off of the ground.
“Let me go!” Shane shouted and struggled as hard as he could. He tried to wiggle down through a gap in the man's arms, but was unsuccessful. The next attempt was kicking. That too was unsuccessful.
“You need to calm down Shane. You will hurt self.” Though he heard the words he didn’t believe the man.
“I don’t want to have to scruff you”
Scruffing was something that hadn’t been done to Shane since he was a small pup. It rendered an omega or a pup completely useless and limp, unable to control their body so that their alpha, or guardian could ensure that whatever they were doing was nipped in the bud.
“I am going to put you on omega board”
“No” Shane had no clue what an omega board actually was, but he certainly wasn't keen on finding out.
“Is not punishment. You need to calm” The man carried him up a set of stairs, and into a bedroom where an intimidating item lay on top of a bed.
It looked similar to an ironing board, but it was more squared off and made of a hard material. On it laid a variety of straps that were already undone, and ready to be used.
The man had anticipated him being upset.
The alpha put Shane down on the hard board, and began holding down his thrashing limbs while he secured them with soft fabric that was conveniently placed near his ankles and wrists. After his extremities were secured he moved to get the larger straps that were laid out on each side. There was one very long strap that went over most of the length of the board from Shane's feet until the top of his chest. It was heavy, not so heavy that it would crush him, but just enough that it was going to be a noticeable presence. The rest of the straps were assorted up and down his body. They each applied weight in different amounts.
Shane couldn’t move a bit. He could tell that there was another strap by his head, and the man had opted not to use it. He could make the man regret that. He could hit his head against the board until the man let him out, but he felt the man would notice, and just employ the strap leaving Shane with less range of motion, and a nasty headache.
So he opted against the strategy.
For now.
“20 minutes Shane. Breath, I will be back”
With that the man turned off the lights in the room and pressed a button on a machine that started playing sounds of a rainstorm. Shane screamed and struggled for the first little bit, but realised it was getting him nowhere, and the weight and sound mixed together were not necessarily the worst thing.
He just hated not being able to move.
