Chapter Text
“Although I traveled far and wide,
I longed for the warmth I felt inside.
The dark heat rises from the street,
And I find the place where I am complete.
A joy within, a quiet grace,
Remembering myself in this familiar space.
No longer yearning, no longer to roam,
I am full, having come back home.”

Song: “Goodbyes” (2:00)
Mobius was still searching frantically for any sign on Sylvie. It had been days since she disappeared, and he hadn’t slept since. He knew that he probably looked like a mess, a zombie almost. That’s how he felt anyway.
He knew that there was a chance that she just left, but he had a feeling she would let Mobius know before she did so. A hunch told him something else happened, and the blanket appearing in the middle of the forest told him that something more was happening.
He kept walking through the forest, a warm wind rustling through the trees. That and the sound of a warm hum. A familiar hum that took him back to the time of the TVA.
It was a doorway formed by a TemPad.
“Sylvie?”
He squinted his eyes, looking for a human form through the green trees that stretched on forever.
“Mobius!”
He then saw her form, darkness under her eyes as if she didn’t get any sleep. Dirt was all over her face, and she looked dead. Her eyes lit up ever so slightly as she saw him.
They began to run to each other, and as soon as they were face to face, they began chattering over each other.
“I’ve been looking for you for days! I thought someone had taken you.”
“You really think someone could stand a chance against me?”
“No but something was off with the appearance of the blanket and I wasn’t sure what was wrong. I even sent the kids home to make sure they were safe-”
“Mobius. I’m fine. I… I saw Loki.”
They both went silent as Mobius’ wide eyes met Sylvie's darkened ones. Heavy breathing filled the air, both of them too afraid to speak.
Loki… he sent a message.
“How?”
“He used his magic to come and see me. He is okay Mobius. He is happy.”
Her face began to blur as salt water welled his eyes. He stubbornly wiped his arm across them, not letting them spill.
“As long as… as long as he is okay.” Mobius’ voice cracked slightly. “You know, I miss him.”
Sylvie’s face went dark for a moment, her eyes reflecting on whatever happened in the past few days.
“I do too. But it is time to move on. He wants us to move on.”
Mobius nodded, attempting to put on a brave face.
Sylvie rested her hand on his shoulder gently, a rare form of friendly affection from this dangerous woman.
“Come on. Let’s go back home.”
